Project Title : An Automated Biodiesel Reactor
Project Role : Calculations, Designing, Planning, Fabricating
Project Design : Solid works
Our main aim is to extract biodiesel from used vegetable oil which will reduce
the diesel usage. Mixing of used vegetable oil with methanol and Sodium hydroxide inside the reactor
tank with temperature of 50-100C. The products obtained are biodiesel, Glycerin and small amount of
alcohol. This project helps us to work out in various machining process which I had learnt in my
Engineering program and also about teamwork. We did the process planning and followed the processes.
This project is economically considerable and we scale up to minimum sources which is available for us.

Designand Fabricationof Paddy Separator
Project Title : Paddy Separator
Project Role : Calculations, Designing, Planning, Fabricating
Product Design : PTC Creo Parametric
The paddy separator is used to remove the paddy from the husk of the
crops by a farmer in affordable cost by using simple chain mechanism and a DC motor. This project
gave me a critical learning through, observing the needs of the farmers, requirements analysis,
identifying the problems and meeting the needs through innovative design through functional analysis
and scaling down/up based on material availability for manufacturing parts to working model.
Designand Fabricationof FootstepPowerGeneration
Project Title : Footstep Power Generation
Project Role : Calculations, Designing, Fabricating
Product Design : AutoCAD (drafting and 3D modeling)
This project Footstep Power Generation is used to produce power from the
footsteps which are used in public places and in private sector. This is achieved by combinations of
gears, springs, and chain and sprocket. These gears are used to convert reciprocating motion of the step
into rotate motion and chains are used to achieve the required speed to produce power from a D.C
generator and that power is stored in battery.
Training and Workshops undergone
 In plant training program at PTS (Premier Tools Support) at Kottivakkam. This
program enables me to gain the knowledge about Grinding wheel and its
manufacturing process.
 Attended Guest lecture program about Six sigma and Lean manufacturing by
Mr. M. Senthil kumar, senior manager, RANE TRW Steering Ltd.
 Attended Guest lecture program about Quality control and Implementation of 5S by
Mr. Babu, Retd. Quality Control Manager, RANE Engine Valves Ltd.
 Industrial Visit to Ashok Leyland, Ennore Plant, Chennai.
Achievements and Extra-curricular activities
 Participated in Kanchipuram Olympiad-2008 competition at school level.
 Participated and won First prize in CAD Contest at POLYTECH FEST program,
conducted by AVIT, Kelambakkam.
 Participated in YANTRA 14, and won second prize in assembling and dismantling in
National Level Technical Symposium conducted by Meenakshi Sundararajan
Engineering College, Chennai.
 Attended SP ROBOTIC WORKS at YANTRA 14, in National Level Technical
