2. PROJECT DETAILS
Title: Reclamation of liquid Hydrocarbon fuel from waste disposed plastics.
Role: Designing, Fabrication and testing.
Description: The main objective was to convert design and fabricate the apparatus to
convert waste plastics to proper consumable fuel. This help increase the efficiency in waste
management process since not all variants of plastics are feasible for recycling by the
industries. These un-recycled plastic wastes gets accumulated over the period of time and
impacts the environment and eco-diversity of the nature. With our apparatus we displayed
how with the help Pyrolysis process we can significantly convert these plastic wastes into
usable resources thereby adding to the total efficiency of waste management. The Pyro lytic
oil that we produced was high in calorific value, similarly few other properties were
measured analyzed and validated with that of Diesel oil.
Title: Design and fabrication of self-steering path finder robot.
Role: Designing and Fabrication.
Description: The primary objective of the project was to design and fabricate such a robot
which could sense it’s surrounding for any obstacles and compute the best possible path for
its movement through those hurdles. We used Arduino based microcontroller for
controlling and driving all the gear motors and servo motors. IF sensors were mounted over
the servo motors which was programmed to rotate at an angle of 270 degree. The sensors
would help sense the obstacles and those simultaneous readings would be automatically
computed to give best possible direction for its movement. Accordingly, the gear motors
would be driven to steer the robot forward, backward, left and right.
3. INTERNSHIP
Company: ACE Designers, Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Description: It is a Lathe, CNC etc. manufacturing industry. Our primary objective was to
understand the overall structure of the company and its everyday functioning from designing,
assembling till stacking up in the inventories for customer dispatch. We were shown how each
department works and how they coordinate with each other with the help of SAP technology.
