5. Who can get GATE? Citizens of T&T who have been living here for three years or more. Once you have been accepted at a local and regional public tertiary level institution or at a GATE approved private tertiary level institution, you are eligible.
6. What do I get out of GATE? Once you’ve been approved for GATE : For an undergraduate programme, you get all tuition fees covered. For a postgraduate programme , you would be eligible to get fifty per cent (50%) of your tuition fees covered to a maximum of $10,000.00.
8. What is HELP? HELP is a soft loan facility which is available to students of any age across this country Once you are a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and enrolled in a GATE approved institution, you can access HELP.

10. What can HELP do for me? $25,000.00 per year at local institutions and $75,000.00 per year at regional institutions. $25,000.00 per year for up to five years locally and $75,000.00 per year for up to five years regionally for medical students.
