This program is for the people who are not sponsored by the
employer and have their own skills in a particular occupation
required in Australia.
Its 5 years PR
You can apply for citizenship after 3 years.

4. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must score 60 points in total based on their
educational qualification, work experience, language
proficiency, age and similar other factors.
They must have an occupation which is included in one of
the Australian Government occupation lists:-
CSOL:-If sponsored by any eligible relative or any state or
territory government.
SOL: - If not sponsored by any eligible relative or any state
or territory government.

4 Kinds of Visa’s issued by Australia
SIM: Sub Class 189 { Skilled Independent Migration Visa}
STNI: Sub Class 190 {State/Territory Nominated
Independent Visa}
SIR: Sub Class 475 { Skilled Independent Regional Visa}
SDAS: Sub Class 489 {Skilled Designated Area Sponsorship
Visa}
6. SIM/STNI are direct 5 years Visa
Any Occupation listed in SOL-I, applicant can apply only for skilled
independent category and can stay in any part of Australia.
SIR/SDAS are temporary/provisional visa given for 3 years
Any occupation listed in SOL-II, applicant can apply only for SIR/SDAS.
Applicant has to stay only in that particular area for 2 years.
