TitanicProps:
The ropes behind the
characters show that they are
on a ship.
Location:
You can see from the background
(dark blue in contrast with the
lighter blue sky and sunset) that
they are in the ocean.
Lighting:
Low lighting to add
to the intimate feel
of the scene.
Costume:
The female (Rose) is wearing an expensive dress this shows that
she comes from a wealthy background.
The male (Jack) is wearing dark, loose fitting clothes which shows
he has a poor background.
It also shows that the film is not set in modern times.
Lighting:
The shadow on his face
shows that he is a
mysterious or threatening
person. He might be
trying to hide something.
Dirty Harry
Props:
He is holding a gun, this shows that he is/has been
involved in a fight or that he is defending himself. It
also makes him look threatening and dangerous.
The gun is an old model which could show that the
film is not set in modern times.
Costume:
He is wearing a suit
which shows that he
is important and
superior. He could be
in a position of
authority or power,
for example a
detective or banker.
Location:
He is standing in
front of some
houses or
buildings, this
shows that he is in
a town or city.
Skyfall
Lighting:
The very dark and shadowed lighting shows that the character is very
secretive and is trying to hide his identity. There are only two light sources in
the scene, the window at the end of the corridor/tunnel and the yellow light
shinning on part of the characters face. This adds to the mystery of the scene
and obscures the location.
Location:
It looks like he is in a
tunnel or a dark corridor.
Props and costume:
You cant see the characters costume
or any props because of the dark
lighting. This all adds to the mystery
and secrecy of the scene.
