reaches the playing field.
This suggests that the
game directors are very
powerful.
It is very dark lighting
beneath her when she
watches Cinna get taken
away.

In this scene her
mocking jay badge is

Katniss is wearing a
plain, what looks like
playsuit.
It also has a belt on it
too. This suggest they
aren’t too poor as they
can afford to buy and
make clothes.
Location:
This looks as if it is
filmed in a town and
definitely on location
and not studio.
It is very run down and
looks cold and seems
to be winter from the
bare trees.
Lighting:
The use of natural
lighting, suggests
that it is not artificial
and that they are
outside most of the
time.
Props:
They have used
extra characters
as the guards
who are in
charge of
everyone.
They hold
weapons and
keep everyone in
order, such as
guns and bats.

Jennifer is seen in a
long, frilled, white
gown. This suggests
that she has a good
designer and seems
rich in the games.
She is shown with a
lot of makeup on her
face and jewellery.
Location:
This is in an arena, for
example, something like
the O2. This suggests that
the government in this area
of the movie is very
powerful and has a lot of
money. In the movie, they
are called the ‘Capital’.
Lighting:
The lighting is very bright
and white, which a dark
coloured background. The
light is directly shone on
Jennifer’s character. This
suggests that the she is pure
and that the darker
background could be evil.
This could be because they
have to either vote for her or
against her.
Props:
They have the extras playing
as the small characters and
as the audience. There is
the extra dress that appears
too.

Jennifer’s character is in
a simple dark blue to
black gilet, with a ruffled
neckline. Her makeup is
very simple yet you can
tell there is a dark
shade of blue. Her hair
is half done up, either
pinned or tied up at the

Tatum
Costumes:
Police outfit, giving
him authority.
Walkie Talkie – talk
to his fellow police
partner (Jonah Hill).
It looks like he is
wearing a white vest
top beneath his
police shirt.
Location:
This scene is in an
abandoned church. As
he is undercover, this
gives definitely wont
make anyone intrude.
Also suggests that there
isn’t a lot of money that
has been funded.
Lighting:
The lighting is quite
normal, as this is a
comedy it isn’t going to
be dark and eerie,
because it isn’t a thriller.
However it looks quite
dull because they are in
a quiet space which
hasn’t been re-
renovated.
Props:
The costume, as he doesn’t
wear it the whole time.

7. Costumes:
Tatum is wearing a
normal t-shirt with a
hoodie with shoulder
sleeves.
He also has a
rucksack, which is
also counted as a
prop.
Location:
This looks like a
typical American
school parking lot. It
is outside in the open.
Lighting:
It looks as if all the
lighting is natural, as it
isn’t to washy on the face
and doesn’t look artificial.
It is quite light in the
background as in the
foreground too.
Props:
There are a lot of extras
because they need to be the
rest of the school pupils. His
bag is a prop, because in this
scene it isn’t seen to be used.

8. Costumes:
He is shown to be in a
teenage clothing so he
can blend in with the rest
of the school and so the
headteacher and other
teachers do not suspect
anything. He is wearing a
plain grey hoodie and a
yellow printed shirt.
Location:
It looks like he is
sitting in an office,
perhaps a teacher’s
office, but I think it is in
his boss’ office. This is
a guess because of
the files behind him.
Lighting:
I think it is quite
obvious it is artificial
lighting. This is
projected on his face
so he is visual to us.
Props:
The props in this
scene are the files
and work behind
the characters. This
is to fill the space.
There is also a
desk to make it look
like a real office.

9. Costumes:
Channing is shown with
a white suit where he
wears this to his “prom”.
It has a black slick sides
on the inside, and it
looks like he is wearing a
black belt. Down the side
of his trousers is a long
black line.
Location:
This looks like it is
an upper class
hotel room,
however it has
been ruined from
the fight between
him and the
criminals.
Lighting:
The lighting is very dim
and dull, and looks like
a normal room lighting.
This suggests that they
could be using studio
lights, as well as the
ones in the background.
Props:
The props in this film is
the TV, the light in the
background, and the
sofa in the middle,
which has used as a
barrier – suggests the
bad from the good. The
confetti type paper also
is a prop.

10. Gone Girl Rosamund Pike – Amy
Dunne
Costumes:
Pike is seen with a simple
black and white striped top
at a party. Her hair is done
up in a bun at the back, and
her makeup is simple.
Location:
The location is in
someone’s house as it
looks like a party.
Lighting:
The lighting in this is
quite dark, maybe
using it to suggest what
may happen later in the
future of the film.
Props:
The extras in the
background and the
things to make it look
like a home, for
example what looks
like a cabinet in the
background, and the
wine glass the woman
is holding in the
background.

11. Costumes:
Pike is wearing a
simple grey t-shirt
and is seen to be
dying her hair
blonde. In this scene
she is not wearing
any makeup, and
she has cut her hair.
Location:
This looks like a small
public bathroom, as it
doesn't look well
looked after and is
very small and dingy. It
is very dark, which
could be in connection
with her as she has
run away.
Lighting:
It is quite dark
because it is small and
looks like it is using
the amount of natural
lighting from the
window behind her
and low studio lights.
Props:
She is seen with
herself dying her
hair, it looks like it is
blonde. She has also
used scissors in this
scene.

Pike is wearing a simple
black strappy top as she is
in bed trying to sleep.
Location:
In bed, in her house. It is
very dark as it is night
time.
Lighting:
It is very dark,
however it is also
light in her room,
suggesting it is early,
or it is summer. This
could suggest what
is happening later.
Props:
The bed sheets, and
pillow and the bed to
make it look like a real
bedroom, there may
not be other stuff in the
room.

Pike is wearing what looks a
like a thick, black winter
trench coat with buttons
down the middle and a long
turtle neck.
Location:
This has been shot in a
back alley as it is very dark
and looks very
industrialised with nothing
much there. I can also take
a guess that it is the back
end of a shop because of
the writing on the back of
what looks like a door.
Lighting:
It is very dark, as it is
night time. Most of the
stills I have of Amy
Dunne are very dark,
which could suggest
evil?
Props:
The people in the
background of
this scene doing
deliveries,
possibly for a
shop?
