Most Creative Ramen Analysis
For this journal I will be discussing the YouTube video called Most CREATIVE Ramen Recipes. In
this video they are making teams for a cook off. Basically the one who could make the most creative
ramen wins, which is decided by their judges: Jun Sung Ahn, Yuri Tag, Forrest Wheeler, Joanna
Sotomura, Christine Chen, and Taylor Chan. The first team is Ted Fu and David Choi. For their
ramen, they are making ramen with spam. Ted is making the sauce out of oyster sauce, vinegar, and
soy sauce. He pours the oyster sauce onto the hot pan, and after David minces the spam, he pours
the spam onto the sauce on the pan. Ted then pours eighty proof vodka on top of the cooking spam,
and David lights the spam for more flavor. They plate the seaweed on a white

All the entrees came just as we finished the wings and calamari. We had encountered difficulty
finishing the Caesar Salad. The combination of pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, onions, green
peppers , black olives, ham and mozzarella complimented each other as the flavors and remnants
oozed out of the fresh dough. The red sauce that accompanied the Calzone had an extra hint of
garlic which is the aroma that is used in many of the dishes that came past our table. It was very
hard concentrating on what we order when all the dishes that came past us smelled and looked so
good. Dessert: Tiramisu and Double Chocolate Mousse Cake called from the menu. Since the meal
was so filling, we took our dessert home. The next morning the tiramisu was just as I expected with
the right amount of liqueur. My taste buds were not disappointed and although it was not intended
for breakfast, I was completely satisfied with my choice of desserts. They are a sponsor for the

Factors Affecting The Business Environment
Business Environment There are many factors that need to be taken in account when opening a
business. One very impactful factor is the economy. In a strong economy, disposable income is high
and unemployment is low. As a result, consumers confidence during this time prompts them to
purchase both essential and nonessential goods and services. Though during an economic
slowdown, consumers become a lot more concerned about their expenditures and their job stability,
this in turn leads to decreased revenue for businesses. Population also influences the total income
for a business. In a place where the population grows very slowly, an individual has to deal with the
possibility of not attracting a lot of new customers and sticking with their current market share.
During this time it is very important to focus all efforts on customer service so the business does not
lose current customers. Slow economy and population are not the only factors that reduce total
revenue, a high unemployment rate can also drastically impact your business. Unemployment cuts
down on a person 's wants, leading to decreased revenue for businesses. Another growing trend is
eating healthy. Wendy's is known for its delicious yet incredibly unhealthy hamburgers. In order to
constantly attract new customers the management needs to add some more healthier options.
Currently, everyone is worried about their health and diet. During this time it is very hard for a fast
food restaurant to stay on top of sales.

Essay about The Most Difficult Anniversary
A week had passed since the ten–year anniversary of mom's death and again I found myself staring
out the window at the gloominess. Okay, so it's just my reflection in the glass. It was a brilliant
Sunday morning with an endless blue sky. The buildings, the Hudson, everything had a winter
crispness to it. I wish I could enjoy it, but I can't get comfortable here, can't concentrate. Can't write.
Even fifteen stories up, I felt the constant undercurrent of activity. The silent hum of a city that
sometimes moves too fast for its own good, my own good. Two ice cubes and two fingers of
Macallan sat at the bottom of a silver–rimmed Madison Avenue whiskey glass. Sunday and our pre–
church routine is underway. Sarah thought it would be good ... Show more content on

Adorned in a black turtleneck and gray slacks, she offered me a perfunctory smile as she grabs her
coat off the rack. She's a no–nonsense New Yorker who never met a problem she couldn't solve.
Besides me, anyways. She's also sharp with the tongue when someone needs to be put in their place.
Guilty as charged. But she's genuine and honest, and has a smile that lights up a room, and I'm
pretty sure I don't deserve her. She also enjoys taking off her clothes around me. Or did. Before our
problems started. My problems. We met at a writer's conference in Atlanta in. She was there
gathering manuscripts, looking for that undiscovered gem; I was there to put Parade of Echoes in
the hands of as many editors as possible. I assumed she was just another aspiring author as I
sauntered up next to her at the bar. She had the sexy librarian look, wire–rimmed glasses and yellow
number 2 pencil through the hair bun. Four hefty manuscripts cradled in her left arm and three flash
drives hung from her neck. When I saw her take her seat behind the Barnett Publishing table, I
couldn't take my eyes off her. I wanted to pull that pencil out. As the evening wound down, I
convinced her to have a nightcap with me. There was a manuscript to discuss, and such. I owed a
great deal of my success to her. Yes, I wrote Parade of Echoes after hearing Albert Bolton's story,
but Sarah loved my version and believed in it enough to bypass the slush pile and put it on the desk

Differences In America-Personal Narrative
There are seven continents, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Asia, Africa and
Australia. Yet I've only been to one continent, one town, and I only have one story to tell and it is
about birthday with no friends. Maybe it will be different in America? Maybe I will be accepted in
America, I mean it has to be an adventure, a whole new continent with a whole new set of
adventure. My father starts to pack our outmoded clothing, and vacant dog cage. I had a flashback to
when I was five, and vibrant yellow and orange leaves were gracefully falling to the cold hard
ground. While my rangy dog ,spots, had lumbered through the pile of leaves that my father had

As I reached down to grab my things from under the seat, I realized that a gore on my skirt had a
giant stain from my ranch dressing on it. Just great I thought to myself. As we exited the plane we
were jostled and thrown around by the other passengers who seemed to be in a rush, and they were
very discord. Once we have made it to baggage claim, we got our bags and headed for our taxi that
would take us to our brand new home. When we were walking towards our car, I saw a beautiful
vista, and it almost made me forget I had a giant stain on my beautiful skirt. When we pulled into
our new driveway, I was transfixed by the pile of junk that laid in front of my grandma's penury
looking house. Once we entered we saw a note taped to the distorted fridge it said "I Have decided
to move to Hawaii, but have fun in your new house". I couldn't believe her, we had traveled all of
this way to help her and now she just picked up her things and left. My thoughts were interrupted by

Compare and Contrast Wendy's vs. Mcdonalds Essay
McDonald's Versus Wendy's Kimmeka Bowman Comm/155 June 15, 2013 J. Trammell
McDonald's Versus Wendy's What do you typically order when dining at McDonald's or Wendy's?
When I am having a meal from either place, my favorite choice is a fried chicken sandwich with
lettuce, tomato, bacon and extra mayo. Sometimes, I may make it a combo and enjoy the greasy,
salty french fries and an ice cold soft drink. Most of their customers often purchase the unhealthiest
options because they feel as if that is what fast food is all about, right? Fortunately, it does not have
to be that way. Fast food can be convenient and nutritious. Wendy's and McDonald's are both fast

Wendy's version of the Dollar menu is titled "Right Price, Right Size" menu. It has also introduced a
feast after dark that is available after 10 p.m. This meal is made up of their Double Stack
cheeseburger (pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard), an order of chili cheese fries and a 32 ounce
drink for only $5. With the many options, customers must decide if they are looking for convenience
and unhealthy food choices. One of the more unhealthy options at McDonald's is a new sandwich,
Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder with Cheese. This monster of a sandwich is made with a
quarter pound of 100% beef. It is topped with white cheddar cheese, Applewood smoked bacon,
tomato, leaf lettuce and a spicy but creamy habanero ranch sauce on a toasted bun. Sounds delicious
until the nutritious facts are given. This sandwich alone has 610 calories, 31 grams of fat, and 46
grams of carbohydrates. The fat in this sandwich is 48% of the recommended daily value. Adding
fries and a drink to pair with this sandwich increases the calorie count for this meal to well over
1100. Remember, the average person consumes about 2000 calories a day. While these facts are
shocking to some, Wendy's also has some options that can be damaging to one's health. The
Baconator is at the top of the list. The name by itself says heart attack. This signature sandwich has
not one, but two quarter pound ground beef patties. Like McDonald's, it has Applewood smoked
bacon. However, the only toppings are

Descriptive Essay On The God Of A Fish
I glance over the cliff observing the quaint town below a smile making it way on my face; I sit down
on the grass covered ground placing my legs over the edge and swigging them slowly.i watch as the
town prepared in celebration of the god of their town; they prepared fireworks on the outskirts of the
town that would give me perfect view of them going off tonight. I felt a form sit on my shoulder; I
turn my head seeing Gabriel sitting there a fish hanging out of his mouth as he beamed with content.
"finally caught a fish" I say laughing at the end; I laugh even harder when I see Gabriel pouting. His
black and white ears folded down as he wrapped his white fur cover arms around his chest. he
turned his head away with the fish still in his mouth. "oh i'm sworry" i say using doggy eyes, he
looks over for a moment than looked away. "i'll get you more fish later" I bargained at this his ears
perked up and he turned back to me and unfolded his arms before dropping the fish he caught in his
paws. "deal!" he says smiling happily. "of course that what makes you forgive me" i say rolling my
eyes but couldn't stop the smile that appeared on my face. "yup!" he says, I shake my head looking
back down at the town and watch the bustling people all holding smiles as they got ready. "how you
like to go down there and join the festivities?" i asked getting up and dusting the dirt and grass that

It was a crisp morning in the first week of June, 2014. With her step–mom and father, Oriana and I

eloquently painting the sky with vibrant tones of red, orange, and purple. We stopped at a small gas

My stomach had been pulled into my back, but I felt it settle as the wheels sucked back up into their
rightful place and the plane leveled out. The takeoff was definitely my least favorite part of the
flight. The view was unlike anything I'd ever seen. As the plane continued to increase in altitude,
everything below us continued to decrease in size. I was amazed that I could seeing so much and so
little at the same time! Miles upon miles of land visible from the 9x12 inch window on my right,
and yet the cars looked like ants. After a few essential pictures, a short nap, and some conversation,
our two hour flight was almost over. The plane began to slow down and steadily sink towards the
ground. I remember experiencing my first bit of turbulence and feeling a sense of comfort from it.
The bumps and slight rattling reminded me of riding in my car. After a fairly bumpy and somewhat
soothing landing, we unbuckled and Oriana said, "That was an awful landing," turning to me and
continuing, "they aren't usually like that: hopefully the next one won't be so bad." She was
genuinely concerned that the landing had bothered me in some way; as if the shaking and bumping
had put in me in a state of distress. I looked at her blankly, almost confused by what she had just
said. "I didn't think it was bad at all: the take off was way worse!" I quipped as we slowly made our
way into the aisle. The process was lengthy and laborious; each step felt

Menu Analysis Memo
In analyzing the sales data of starters and salads over the course of the first few weeks of this
semester, our current menu items present room for adjustment. There are menu items that are
exemplary and require little to no additional adjustments. Such items might include the truffle fries
and Brussel sprouts. However, we must importantly consider the sheer number of items that need
considerable adjustments. Over half of our starters and salads consist of dogs. These items of low
contribution margin (CM) and popularity present an opportunity to generate additional profits. The
following memo outlines the analysis and strategic implementation we will need to take in order to
create a successful menu.

It's not only healthy from a caloric standpoint. Sea vegetables can also be utilized as a substitute for
salt for guest who are conscious of sodium intake.
The house salad is very similar to the soba noodle in terms of both CM and MM. As we continue to
approach winter headlong, it will prove beneficial to develop salads with root vegetables such as
roasted radishes (Rossman, USA Today).
Our most unpopular dish–the cube salad–also turns out to be amongst our highest in CM. This
puzzle can be solved in a few ways. Our menu design doesn't provide much in the way of
effectively repositioning the cube salad to increase visibility. We can move the cube salad to the top
of the list of the salad section of the menu. The guests at Establishment have been proven to be
trustful of their servers. We can encourage guests to purchase the cube salad by offering it as a
special and having our servers actively suggest starting the course with this salad (Kasavanna, Menu
Engineering). Our cobb salad may look intimidating to some of our guests. It may take a lot of effort
for some individuals to actually consume because of the large chunk of lettuce in the center of the
plate. We can make the salad more palatable by breaking down the lettuce and incorporating the
ingredients of a cobb salad more effectively. Guests will be more inclined to purchase based on a
visuals presentation as a result (Kasavanna, Menu Engineering).

Marble City Food And Brewery Essay
Every once in a while my family and I have a family gathering in a fine restaurant. Last family
gathering, we were looking for a restaurant that offers a warm atmosphere, good service, and great
food, nothing more and nothing less. Granite City Food & Brewery located in West Acres Regional
shopping center, met our expectation and was on point. We had a great experience eating out and
really got what we paid for. It provides a warm, elegant atmosphere, cheerful and friendly customer
service, and delicious, mouth–watering food. Restaurants around the town offer a variety of food
and services, but not all of them offer a warm, inviting atmosphere like Granite City Food &
Brewery. When customers first walk in the door, a friendly hostess greets and welcomes them in.
The aroma of the food makes diners hungry more than they already are. There is a bar area and a big
dining area on the left. On one side of the restaurant there are a four big beer tanks where they make
beer. From the dining area diners can see the chef and head cooks cooking delicious cuisines
through a half glass wall between the dining area and the kitchen. The wood and stone textured
walls with the lighting effect give the restaurant a warm, casual atmosphere. The walls are decorated
with brown, empty beer bottles displayed on the wall shelves. The decorations and the inviting
atmosphere at Granite City Food & Brewery were exactly what we were looking for. However,

Looking at Sandy, Zach just smiled and nodded, the gesture evoked a wink in response as they

Persuasive Speech On Veg Food
Vegetarians have a limited choice when it comes to food, but they are satisfied with it and enjoy it
thoroughly; the moment you take a vegetarian friend to a restaurant and eat non–veg, you know how
the reaction would be, LOL. But today, what we are going to discuss is capable of giving
vegetarians a heart attack. How often have you visited a VEG RESTAURANT and ordered
manchow soup or naan or a salad and thought that you are having vegetarian food?
What if you were told that some foods you are having regularly are not even Vegetarian? Shocked?
Yes, this is true. Have a look at the list of veg foods that are actually non–veg.
1. Manchow soup
I am sure you all must be relishing manchow soup, isn't it? When we go to restaurants we get it in 2
options, vegetarian and non–vegetarian. How would you react if we say that the veg version is not
pure veg? Let us tell you that some Manchow soups contain fish sauce i.e. Tom Yum Sauce. This
doesn't mean that all restaurants do so; some of them serve you pure veg too; but it's better to check
it out next time you order it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cultural Competence In Social Work
Cultural competence is a major component in social work as it enables us to communicate
effectively with people of different background and cultures. (Suppes & Wells, p. 79.) By definition,
culture is a universal phenomenon as it refers to family values, education, work, religion, success,
food, and social class. (NASW, p. 14.) In this paper, I will compare and contrast my own cultural
background with that of one of my best friends, Dawn Denny who happens to be a Guyanese.
Most Haitians place a great emphasis on family values regardless of their social status. While both
parents play a vital role in the family, the male is the dominant one, the head of the house, despite
the fact that the mother works, rears, cares for the children and maintains the house. It's
tremendously hard to get a job in Haiti as the labor industry is extremely bias, you not only need to
know someone from the inside, but it is also based on age and color of your skin. The younger, the
lighter the skin pigment, and the more likely it is to get hired. As a result of that, women often
struggle with sexual harassment in the work place. The probability of getting a job without a college
degree is very slim to none so therefore, a college education is crucial. A child primary
responsibility is to focus in school and get good grades until graduated college, but because college
tuition is so expensive, only the upper class can afford to send their kids to school. The middle and

Eating Food For Dieters And Healthy Eaters
Salads are usually the go–to food for dieters and healthy eaters. If you look up salad images in food
magazines or on the Instagram, you are bound to found tons of delicious looking recipes that are full
of colour and freshness. But the creations can often end up looking soggy and flat when you try
them at home. Not to mention how some of the salads we eat as 'health food' are better classed as
'junk'.
In this article, we'll help you learn the secrets to a healthy salad that's worthy of photographing.
3 Mistakes to Avoid
Below is a selection of the three biggest salad mistakes. These are quite common; so don't beat
yourself if you are guilty of making them
1. Wash and Toss the Salad in the Bowl
It's extremely important to properly was your salad ingredients, but you shouldn't add them in the
bowl soggy. Place your greens on top of some kitchen towel for a bit and toss them around until dry
before placing into your salad bowl. This guarantees a soggy–free salad.
2. Using Three Familiar Ingredients
Most people tend to stick to salad ingredients they know. Instead of creating beautiful and colourful
salads with exciting combinations, they just add a bit of cucumber, salad leaves and some peppers.
But the salad shelves are full of vegetables and fruits, which should find their way into your salad.
Discover new ingredients at farmer's markets, where you can often have a taster of ingredients. Add
a mixture of salads, herbs, vegetables and even fruits to your salad for

The World War : Poetry Analysis Of The Universal Soldier
Poetry Analysis Package
Universal Soldier:
Explain the title in a paragraph[s] of 150 words.
The Universal Soldier is less of a man or human and more so the idea of every soldier combined as
well as the perspective war personified. Throughout the song, the Universal Soldier is referred to as
"him" and the songs depict what he is and what he does. The lines 1 and 4 are both representative of
the height and age parameters for soldiers in 1961, which supports the idea that he represents all
soldiers in war. The lines 22–24 depict him as the armies both Hitler and Caesar have; without both
of their armies, they could not have accomplished what they did.
"...the writing on the walls." is a reference to the Book of Daniel, Chapter 5, verses 1 to 31. It is
printed on page 39. Explain a possible reason for Ste Marie to include this reference, other than a
rhyming pattern.
The phrase "the writing on the wall" is a commonly used idiom deriving from the Book of Daniel.
In the book, King Belshazzar was drinking wine from a sacred Jewish Goblet and praising false
idols when a severed hand suddenly appears and writes a message on the wall for the king. No one
could translate what the message said until Daniel, who tells him that God has numbered the days in
which Belshazzar will be king. Soon after, Belshazzar dies and someone else is appointing kings. In
this day, "the writing on the wall" is used as an expression of impending doom and often taken as a
bad omen.

castellana. This soup takes its name from the cen– tral heartland of Spain, where it is a hugely
popular dish. While some call it simply sopa castellana, others refer to it as sopa de ajo, literally
"soup of garlic." This is a basic, classic version, though I have found many variations while
traveling the back roads of Castilla. I always delight in the subtle differences from one house or
rural restaurant to the next, such as a few added toasted cumin seeds. 5 CUPS/1.2 L MILD

Essay On Soup Kitchen
When I first heard that I was going to the soup kitchen I was really scared, because I thought that I
was going to get hurt or mess something up with the food. I thought that all of the people who come
to the soup kitchen would not have kids or wives. All of that was not true. The soup kitchen is a
great place to see how people who have a hard time finding food to eat. The soup kitchen provides
that for them. That way the people are able to survive in the world. On the way to the soup kitchen I
was just thinking about messing up and not doing a good job, but I really should have been thinking
about how I should serve others. It was a snowy winter morning. When we pulled into the parking
lot I saw a lot of people waiting near the crowded front entrance. Even though the waiting people
were bundled from head to toe they still looked cold and miserable. A sweet old lady ... Show more

people would say funny jokes that made me laugh and giggle. I would hear people say how thankful
they were for just having another day on this earth. I remember a lady named Adeline who told me
why she was thankful for the things that she had, "that every time she wakes up she is happy to still
be alive and to know that she can still be here on this earth to help feed her babies, she said. "Her
touching story made me cry with both happy and sad tears. I had a lot of fun there at the soup

Grocery Shopping Satire

Annoying Shoppers
Grocery shopping can be a very interesting experience. It seems like nothing more than a quick and
easy chore at first. You go in, throw whatever you want into your cart, pay and then get out. Its
almost relaxing, that is if the grocery store is completely empty. Unfortunately, there are always
those other shoppers. The ones who think they own the place or something. They're in just about
every grocery store in America. You know who I'm talking about, that one parent– usually a mom–
with a kid who just so happens to be screaming bloody murder. Also, everyone knows a bad cart
driver when they see one, not to mention the label readers. And finally, probably the ... Show more

So, after carefully scanning each regular check–out line, you finally spot the one with what seems
like the shortest line and casually stroll over there to wait your turn. What you didn't see, was that
the lady you decided to stand behind had the entire store in her cart! Little did you know that she
was the worst shopper of them all– the Couponer. This is the bargain–shopper who's annoying
actions are broken down into three steps. First, this shopper will decide to pack her cart so full that
the pile of groceries in her cart is taller than she is! Inevitably, creating a longer waiting time for
you. Next, she will stand there, stare at the clerk's computer screen and argue about the 2–for–1
price for every item that doesn't match up exactly the way she wants. Finally, after all her groceries
are scanned, bagged and carted, the couponer will then proceed to dig through her entire purse
searching for every coupon she has ever saved over the past year for that one shopping trip. As if
she hasn't already wasted enough of everyone's time. It is at this point of your experience when you
realize that any hope of an efficient and speedy shopping trip was just tossed out the window. With
all of the annoying people that decide to go to the grocery store, shopping can easily turn from a
quick and easy chore into one of the most tedious experiences of your life. I encourage you, as a
shopper, to watch out for people like this the next time you go

Persuasive Essay On Tally Thai
Tally Thai is located at the heart of Pensacola street and will satisfy any person who craves Thai
food in the comfort of their city. Along with the fresh seafood for sushi, Tally Thai has a vest menu
of items, with everything from tasty noodles to miso soup and ginger salad. As an individual who
barely eats sushi, or food from Thailand in general, my roommates recommended that we eat at
Tally Thai for this assignment. The menu, like most traditional places, is organized to easily
understand. Beginning with traditional appetizers, this four page menu continues with soups, salads,
then entrees. To my surprise, the third page listed Thai appetizers, entrees, and sushi rolls, which I
found to be more conventional to culture in Thailand; with this, the menu ended on desserts and
drinks, as most restaurants do. There is no question that the menu is, without a doubt, not authentic–
instead it is Americanized. If it were traditional, the rolls, especially, would not have been in
english. With basic names such as 'Philadelphia Roll' and 'Gator Roll', it is clear to see the menu
works with the environment around it; being in a college town, most students would not be able to
understand names of entrees in a different language. Exemplarily, dishes such as the curry duck
would be called "แกงเป็ด" in this culture. Not Americanizing this menu would make it impossible
for individuals to order. A few entrees on the menu do, however, represent Thai culture. Meals such
as the masamun curry

Salads Strengths And Weaknesses
Competitor's SWOT
Go! Salads
Strengths
Their strength is at their brand image which is healthy living. Also, they capitalized on serving
healthy foods that taste great. Their varieties of salad (such as Bayani Salad, Sweet Caroline, Wild
Wild West, and Sgt. Steak Salad) make them original since the kind of toppings in their salads were
not seen in salads before. Also, their desserts are sugar–free which is consistent with their image of
healthy living. Their price seems to be reasonable for their meals.
Weaknesses
Their weakness is they are not that well–known except only to those who live a healthy lifestyle.
When the name Go! Salads is mentioned, it may not ring a bell to consumers.

Wendy's
Strengths
Their strength is at their burgers, although their Caesar salad tastes great because of their lettuce and
dressing. Their Caesar salad adds variety to their burgers which they are famous for. Speaking of
their burgers, the taste of the beef makes it among the leaders in burgers.
Weaknesses
However, Wendy's is not famous for their salads compared from 2 decades ago when they had a
salad bar in their stores. Also, the price of their products is expensive which is why more people
prefer their rivals in the fast food sector.
Opportunities
The opportunities of Wendy's will pertain to their branch in Dapitan St. near UST. Their branch in
Dapitan has been there for a long time judging on the interior. Since there are students, professors,
and doctors who frequent Dapitan, Wendy's wanted to bring its food there and provide the people
who frequent Dapitan food that will energize them and help them get through the grind of
studying/work.
Threats
However, the presence of more affordable food joints in Dapitan and nearby side streets is a reason

Skipping Meals On A Daily Basis
To begin with, since I came to Saint Leo University I have been skipping meals on a daily basis. It's
not because I want to but it's because my schedule is busy on a daily basis. However, when I do get
the chance to eat lunch I take advantage of it. Then when I'm really busy I usually grab a yogurt to
eat on the go or even a sandwich I can snack on. But, with me skipping meals on a daily basis is
very unhealthy and I'm making progress by making improvements with my eating habits. Firstly, I
began by creating a smart goal and used it motivation to help decrease the amount of time I skip
meals. I started eating breakfast in the dining hall or either in my dorm. I usually eat breakfast at
7:30 am or it varies depending on my schedule. For breakfast, I usually eat cereal, oats, or French
toast and sometimes an English muffin. I stay away from the bacon because pork bacon is too oily
and I like turkey bacon more. Sometimes, I would eat the original and strawberry low–fat yogurt
mixed with granola crumbs. Other than breakfast, sometimes I would eat lunch when my schedule is
less hectic. Normally, Monday's and Friday's is the two days that I defiantly eat lunch. This is
because on Monday's I don't have work in the afternoon, so I'm free from 12:20pm and on Friday's I
leave campus to go home. When I do eat lunch, I usually have small portions of rice, or macaroni
with chicken breast or chicken wings. The chicken is normally baked or stewed. Also, sometimes I
would have a salad

A Place Where the Sea Remembers by Sandra Benitez
In, A Place Where the Sea Remembers, several events take place to describe the little city of
Santiago, Mexico. This town is just south of the border by El Paso, Texas. The book focuses around
a lady known as the Remedios. She is a very old healer that helps people with their problems of
love, hate, etc. She is the "good" in the book, whereas El Brujo, the warlock, is the bad man in the
book. This book's other strong point is that it has several short narratives that focus on one, or a few
citizens of Santiago. A few examples are, Candelario (the salad maker), Marta (16 year old that's
pregnant), Fulgencio (the photographer that loses all of his equipment) and Don Justo Flores ...

The second example is when Candelario, even after being fired, wants to take Marta's baby, since
his wife is not able to have one. Chayo, Candelario's wife was not able to have a baby so he thought
that since Marta is Chayo's sister then he would love to raise her baby. This really shows how good
of a guy he is. Right when I heard this I felt all warm inside, because there is still hope for humans
and being the caring and loving type of people we should be. There were a few points in this book
that taught me about life and how crazy it can be sometimes. The photographer named Fulgencio
was very afraid of hitch hiking to Mexico City with a stranger, especially with all of us expensive
equipment. On the ride, Fulgencio is so paranoid that the guy is going to kill him, he grabs a
machete out of the back of the truck. In doing so he gets kicked out of the car and loses all of his
photography equipment anyways. This taught me that we need to trust each other more, Just because
there are a few crazy people in the world, we shouldn't let them give us all a bad name. I mean, the
guy picked Fulgencio up when he was in desperate need of a car, and gives him a ride. He should
have been thankful, not picked up a machete and threaten the guy. Another thing this book taught
me was that just because your sister doesn't want your kid anymore because she

The night before Easter I couldn't sleep knowing what a great day it going to be with delicious food.

by the family side. It only has two stalls and it is as clean as a shiny floor. The patio has some
regular size black chairs with white tables that have pictures with words like it is an advertisement
for beer. One of the patio tables has a picture of the Corona logo. Another table has a picture of the
"Cerveza Pacifico Clara" logo (Chevys Mexican Restaurant – Google Search). Chevys has a great
ambience because of the seating, the patio and the wall and its decoration.
The food from Chevys is as delicious as the food from Mexico. The last time that I went with my
family was about three weeks ago. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad with coke as cold as
Antarctica. The plate had romaine lettuce as fresh as the air near the beach, red pepper as sweet as
cheesecake, cojita cheese as white as clouds, chicken as juicy as mangos, tortilla strips as crunchy as
nacho chips, and

Descriptive Essay About A Shack
Back in 1981, my dad, uncle, aunt and grandpa all helped work on building a shack in the middle of
the woods. At the time it was built, none of them could have imagined what it would mean to the
family today. I bet, back during that summer, they were only concerned with where the deer were,
but although the deer have moved on from that area, the shack still sees widespread use. Now days,
we use it for a place to sleep before going out duck hunting because of the Willow River and the
many logans that surround it. On the contrary, the shack gets used for one, non hunting event, every
year: the spaghetti feed. Because of its importance, the shack is instrumental in bringing the family
together. When I was a little boy, only about five years old, I spent my first night at the shack.
Before this I had only heard of the shack and what it looked like: barn shaped; red, chink–board
siding all surrounded by trees. Now that I am finally able to go up there, I can not wait to see it for
myself. The ride to the shack was nothing standard; we had to take four wheelers through some hay
fields, then get on a county road and drive to the north for a while. After that we turn off, onto a trail
along the ditch bank near the rice paddies and follow that until we get to a clearing in the woods. At
the clearing there is not much to see; just some trees on the outside, on the left there is a 1960s
looking Mack truck parked by the ditch bank, and to the right is the way to the shack. The road is
nothing more than matted down grass, about 18 feet wide, through the woods, and as we continue
through the woods I can smell the scent of grasses and flowers, along with the smell of exhaust from
the vehicle in front of us. Riding along the trail for a while longer, I can finally see it, pushing
through the trees, the shack. Getting closer, I can smell the smoke from the wood stove, or maybe
the firepit. In front, the deck juts out from the front of the building, like a branch on a tree. On the
north side of the yard is a large woodpile, it smells of balsam and pine, and to the right of that is the
old, dilapidated building my dad and uncle lived in while building the shack. To the south of the
clearing is the fire pit, with a pile of

The Benefits Of Health Care Reform
Health care reform is in the air and spearheading its momentum is none other than President Barack
Obama whose slogan, "Change you can believe in," is now being implemented at an alarming pace
to many. Obama Care as its being called by its opponents is a concerted effort on the part of the
Democratic Party to enact sweeping legislation that would overhaul the entire health care system in
the United States. Originally the push for reform began as a call to reform the health care system,
but it has recently been transformed by the Democratic leadership into a more nuanced argument for
changing the health insurance industry. In either case, the bill is causing widespread controversy
across the entire country because of the potential impact it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Even though we don't always prepare the healthiest meals for our respective families that often like
fast–food or simple meals like pizza, we need to try as often as we can. This Healthy Labor Day
recipe, one of my family's favorite holiday meals, will give cooking enthusiasts and food
aficionados alike, the assistance they need to make a delicious Labor Day meal that is not only tasty,
but healthy for your and your entire family as well. With the summer season's final holiday quickly
approaching, let's get down to business. To prepare this meal you will need the following: 1 bag of
baby spinach leaves 1 bag of butter lettuces 1 bag of garden salad mix 1 pack of whole fresh
mushrooms 1 green bell pepper 1 red bell pepper 1 orange bell pepper 2 brushes of broccoli 1 pack
mini tomatoes 1 red onion 1 large bag of frozen Oriental stir –fry 2 bags of individually packed
Tilapia fillets 1 box of aluminum foil 1 bottle of Lawyer's Lemon Pepper Marinade Bottles of salad
dressings Now that you have all your supplies, let's start with the salad. First, you will need to cut
the stems off of the baby spinach leaves. Once that is done, take a large bowl, rinse it well and then
mix all three bags of salad mix. Finally, rinse and cut all your vegetables to your desire then add to
bowl and mix well. You can also add in salad seasoning, which I generally do, if you desire. To
make to stir–fry, you will need a

Basically the one who could make the most creative ramen wins, which is decided by their judges: Jun Sung Ahn, Yuri Tag, Forrest Wheeler, Joanna Sotomura, Christine Chen, and Taylor Chan. The first team is Ted Fu and David Choi. For their ramen, they are making ramen with spam. Ted is making the sauce out of oyster sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce. He pours the oyster sauce onto the hot pan, and after David minces the spam, he pours the spam onto the sauce on the pan. The combination of pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, onions, green peppers , black olives, ham and mozzarella complimented each other as the flavors and remnants oozed out of the fresh dough. The red sauce that accompanied the Calzone had an extra hint of garlic which is the aroma that is used in many of the dishes that came past our table. It was very hard concentrating on what we order when all the dishes that came past us smelled and looked so good. Dessert: Tiramisu and Double Chocolate Mousse Cake called from the menu. • 5. Factors Affecting The Business Environment Business Environment There are many factors that need to be taken in account when opening a business. One very impactful factor is the economy. In a strong economy, disposable income is high and unemployment is low. As a result, consumers confidence during this time prompts them to purchase both essential and nonessential goods and services. Though during an economic slowdown, consumers become a lot more concerned about their expenditures and their job stability, this in turn leads to decreased revenue for businesses. Population also influences the total income for a business. In a place where the population grows very slowly, an individual has to deal with the possibility of not attracting a lot of new customers and sticking with their current market share. During this time it is very important to focus all efforts on customer service so the business does not lose current customers. Slow economy and population are not the only factors that reduce total revenue, a high unemployment rate can also drastically impact your business. Unemployment cuts down on a person 's wants, leading to decreased revenue for businesses. Another growing trend is eating healthy. Wendy's is known for its delicious yet incredibly unhealthy hamburgers. In order to constantly attract new customers the management needs to add some more healthier options. Currently, everyone is worried about their health and diet. During this time it is very hard for a fast food restaurant to stay on top of sales. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Essay about The Most Difficult Anniversary A week had passed since the ten–year anniversary of mom's death and again I found myself staring out the window at the gloominess. Okay, so it's just my reflection in the glass. It was a brilliant Sunday morning with an endless blue sky. The buildings, the Hudson, everything had a winter crispness to it. (Suppes & Wells, p. 79.) By definition, culture is a universal phenomenon as it refers to family values, education, work, religion, success, food, and social class. (NASW, p. 14.) In this paper, I will compare and contrast my own cultural background with that of one of my best friends, Dawn Denny who happens to be a Guyanese. Most Haitians place a great emphasis on family values regardless of their social status. While both parents play a vital role in the family, the male is the dominant one, the head of the house, despite the fact that the mother works, rears, cares for the children and maintains the house. It's tremendously hard to get a job in Haiti as the labor industry is extremely bias, you not only need to know someone from the inside, but it is also based on age and color of your skin. The younger, the lighter the skin pigment, and the more likely it is to get hired. As a result of that, women often struggle with sexual harassment in the work place. The probability of getting a job without a college degree is very slim to none so therefore, a college education is crucial. The Universal Soldier is less of a man or human and more so the idea of every soldier combined as well as the perspective war personified. Throughout the song, the Universal Soldier is referred to as "him" and the songs depict what he is and what he does. The lines 1 and 4 are both representative of the height and age parameters for soldiers in 1961, which supports the idea that he represents all soldiers in war. The lines 22–24 depict him as the armies both Hitler and Caesar have; without both of their armies, they could not have accomplished what they did. "...the writing on the walls." is a reference to the Book of Daniel, Chapter 5, verses 1 to 31. It is printed on page 39. Explain a possible reason for Ste Marie to include this reference, other than a rhyming pattern. The phrase "the writing on the wall" is a commonly used idiom deriving from the Book of Daniel. In the book, King Belshazzar was drinking wine from a sacred Jewish Goblet and praising false idols when a severed hand suddenly appears and writes a message on the wall for the king. No one could translate what the message said until Daniel, who tells him that God has numbered the days in which Belshazzar will be king. • 27. Persuasive Essay On Tally Thai Tally Thai is located at the heart of Pensacola street and will satisfy any person who craves Thai food in the comfort of their city. Along with the fresh seafood for sushi, Tally Thai has a vest menu of items, with everything from tasty noodles to miso soup and ginger salad. As an individual who barely eats sushi, or food from Thailand in general, my roommates recommended that we eat at Tally Thai for this assignment. The menu, like most traditional places, is organized to easily understand. Beginning with traditional appetizers, this four page menu continues with soups, salads, then entrees. To my surprise, the third page listed Thai appetizers, entrees, and sushi rolls, which I found to be more conventional to culture in Thailand; with this, the menu ended on desserts and drinks, as most restaurants do. There is no question that the menu is, without a doubt, not authentic– instead it is Americanized. If it were traditional, the rolls, especially, would not have been in english. With basic names such as 'Philadelphia Roll' and 'Gator Roll', it is clear to see the menu works with the environment around it; being in a college town, most students would not be able to understand names of entrees in a different language. Exemplarily, dishes such as the curry duck would be called "แกงเป็ด" in this culture. Not Americanizing this menu would make it impossible for individuals to order. A few entrees on the menu do, however, represent Thai culture. Meals such as the masamun curry ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then when I'm really busy I usually grab a yogurt to eat on the go or even a sandwich I can snack on. But, with me skipping meals on a daily basis is very unhealthy and I'm making progress by making improvements with my eating habits. Firstly, I began by creating a smart goal and used it motivation to help decrease the amount of time I skip meals. I started eating breakfast in the dining hall or either in my dorm. I usually eat breakfast at 7:30 am or it varies depending on my schedule. For breakfast, I usually eat cereal, oats, or French toast and sometimes an English muffin. I stay away from the bacon because pork bacon is too oily and I like turkey bacon more. Sometimes, I would eat the original and strawberry low–fat yogurt mixed with granola crumbs. Other than breakfast, sometimes I would eat lunch when my schedule is less hectic. Normally, Monday's and Friday's is the two days that I defiantly eat lunch. This is because on Monday's I don't have work in the afternoon, so I'm free from 12:20pm and on Friday's I leave campus to go home. • 34. A Place Where the Sea Remembers by Sandra Benitez Essay... A Place Where the Sea Remembers by Sandra Benitez In, A Place Where the Sea Remembers, several events take place to describe the little city of Santiago, Mexico. This town is just south of the border by El Paso, Texas. The book focuses around a lady known as the Remedios. She is a very old healer that helps people with their problems of love, hate, etc. She is the "good" in the book, whereas El Brujo, the warlock, is the bad man in the book. This book's other strong point is that it has several short narratives that focus on one, or a few citizens of Santiago. A few examples are, Candelario (the salad maker), Marta (16 year old that's pregnant), Fulgencio (the photographer that loses all of his equipment) and Don Justo Flores ... Chayo, Candelario's wife was not able to have a baby so he thought that since Marta is Chayo's sister then he would love to raise her baby. This really shows how good of a guy he is. Right when I heard this I felt all warm inside, because there is still hope for humans and being the caring and loving type of people we should be. There were a few points in this book that taught me about life and how crazy it can be sometimes. The photographer named Fulgencio was very afraid of hitch hiking to Mexico City with a stranger, especially with all of us expensive equipment. On the ride, Fulgencio is so paranoid that the guy is going to kill him, he grabs a machete out of the back of the truck. In doing so he gets kicked out of the car and loses all of his photography equipment anyways. This taught me that we need to trust each other more, Just because there are a few crazy people in the world, we shouldn't let them give us all a bad name. I mean, the guy picked Fulgencio up when he was in desperate need of a car, and gives him a ride. He should have been thankful, not picked up a machete and threaten the guy. • 39. Descriptive Essay About A Shack Back in 1981, my dad, uncle, aunt and grandpa all helped work on building a shack in the middle of the woods. At the time it was built, none of them could have imagined what it would mean to the family today. I bet, back during that summer, they were only concerned with where the deer were, but although the deer have moved on from that area, the shack still sees widespread use. Now days, we use it for a place to sleep before going out duck hunting because of the Willow River and the many logans that surround it. On the contrary, the shack gets used for one, non hunting event, every year: the spaghetti feed. Because of its importance, the shack is instrumental in bringing the family together. When I was a little boy, only about five years old, I spent my first night at the shack. Before this I had only heard of the shack and what it looked like: barn shaped; red, chink–board siding all surrounded by trees. Now that I am finally able to go up there, I can not wait to see it for myself. The ride to the shack was nothing standard; we had to take four wheelers through some hay fields, then get on a county road and drive to the north for a while. After that we turn off, onto a trail along the ditch bank near the rice paddies and follow that until we get to a clearing in the woods. At the clearing there is not much to see; just some trees on the outside, on the left there is a 1960s looking Mack truck parked by the ditch bank, and to the right is the way to the shack. The road is nothing more than matted down grass, about 18 feet wide, through the woods, and as we continue through the woods I can smell the scent of grasses and flowers, along with the smell of exhaust from the vehicle in front of us. Riding along the trail for a while longer, I can finally see it, pushing through the trees, the shack. Getting closer, I can smell the smoke from the wood stove, or maybe the firepit. In front, the deck juts out from the front of the building, like a branch on a tree. On the north side of the yard is a large woodpile, it smells of balsam and pine, and to the right of that is the old, dilapidated building my dad and uncle lived in while building the shack.
