Instagram is an online photosharing, video-sharing and social

its users to take pictures and
videos, apply digital filters to
them, and share them on a
variety of social networking
services, such as Facebook,
Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.[7] A
distinctive feature is that it
confines photos to a square
shape, similar to Kodak

share short videos lasting for up
to 15 seconds.
4. www.facebook.com
Facebook is an online social networking service.
Its name comes from a colloquialism for the
directory given to students at some American
universities.[5] Facebook was founded on
February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his
college roommates and fellow Harvard University
students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum,
Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.[6] The
founders had initially limited the website's
membership to Harvard students, but later
expanded it to colleges in the Boston area, the
Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually
added support for students at various other
universities before it opened to high-school
students, and eventually to anyone aged 13 and
over. Facebook now allows anyone who claims
to be at least 13 years old to become a
registered user of the website.

Open learning is an innovative movement in
education that emerged in the 1970s and
evolved into fields of practice and study. The
term refers generally to activities that either
enhance learning opportunities within formal
education systems or broaden learning
opportunities beyond formal education
systems. Open learning involves but is not
limited to: classroom teaching methods,
approaches to interactive learning, formats in
work-related education and training,the
cultures and ecologies of learning
communities,and the development and use
of open educational resources. While there is
no agreed-upon, comprehensive definition of
open learning, central focus is commonly
placed on the "needs of the learner as
perceived by the learner.
