machinery to carry out respiration in cells.
 The carbohydrates, Proteins and lipids are
degraded during respiration and smaller
molecules like pyruvic acid, amino acids and
patty acids are formed.
 Mitochondria are called the power houses of
the cell.
 The DNA can synthesize some RNA and
proteins.
