Menurut SNI 03-0691-1996 Bata
beton (Paving block) adalah suatu
komposisi bahan bangunan yang
dibuat dari campuran semen
portland atau bahan perekat hidrolis
sejenisnya, air dan agregat dengan
atau tanpa bahan tambahan
lainnya yang tidak mengurangi
mutu bata beton itu.

suatu residu dari proses penggilingan tanaman
tebu (saccharumoficinarum) setelah
diekstrak atau dikeluarkan niranya pada
Industri pemurnian gula sehingga diperoleh
hasil samping sejumlah besar produk limbah
berserat yang dikenal sebagai ampas tebu
(bagasse).

Portland Pozzolan Cement (PPC) adalah semen hidrolis yang
terdiri dari campuran homogen antara semen Portland
dan Pozzolan halus, yang diproduksi dengan menggiling
klinker semen Portland dan Pozzolan bersama-sama atau
mencampur secara rata bubuk semen Portland dan
Pozzolan atau gabungan antara menggiling dan
mencampur, dimana kadar pozzolan 15 s.d 40% massa

Di Indonesia, PCC diproduksi berdasarkan
SNI 15-7064-2004. Bahan campuran
untuk PCC di Indonesia pada saat ini
sebagian besar menggunakan abu
terbang dan bahan-bahan cementitious
lainnya (dalam jumlah yang lebih kecil),
dengan porsi semen portland berkisar
80-85 persen.
