To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in support of Kelsey Hall. Kelsey volunteered at the Valerie H Schindler
Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at the North Carolina Zoo from March 2014 through June 2015,
completing 217 hours.
Kelsey is outgoing, enthusiastic and dedicated. She participated in all aspects of the center’s
operations including aiding the public with wildlife questions and admissions, assisting in
veterinary procedures and administering treatments, capturing and restraining wildlife for
medical evaluation, hand-rearing of orphaned mammals and birds, wildlife nutrition and
husbandry. She was very detailed oriented, thorough, organized; Kelsey was very respectful and
responsible in her care of our wildlife patients.
Eager to acquire new skills, Kelsey advanced into a leadership role as a Volunteer Trainer/Shift
Lead and was relied upon to provide guidance and instruction to our newer, inexperienced
volunteers. Being very personable, Kelsey excelled in this role and is able to work both
independently as well as a member of a team; she interacts very well with her supervisors and
peers as well as with the public. She is able to multi-task and prioritize as needed and can handle
a high-paced, high-stress environment and any demands required of her.
It has been a pleasure working with Kelsey, I have no doubt that she has the tools necessary to
succeed at your facility. It is without hesitation that I recommend her to you, she would be an
exceptional member of your team. If I can be any further assistance in evaluating Kelsey, please
let me know.
Sincerely,
