Re: Dawn Wadsworth, M.S., BCBA
To Whom It May Concern,
Dawn Wadsworth worked for Soaring Eagles Center for Autism (SECA) for over
five and a half years. She was employed as a Behavioral Consultant and Analyst. Her
duties included teaching behavioral intervention, and social skills to our direct care
staff and oversight of their direct therapies to children and adults diagnosed with
autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Since joining our center team, Ms. Wadsworth, completed her supervisory hours and
certification examination to earn her board certification as a behavior analyst. She
also completed our additional autism trainings and advanced training in autism
intervention therapies. Soaring Eagles is a Pediatric Behavioral Clinic and service
agency with the Colorado Department of Developmental Disabilities, therefore, Ms.
Wadsworth was also required to complete our training on client confidentiality,
rights, and mistreatment and abuse of disabled persons. In addition, she has also
completed First Aid and CPR training.
Ms. Wadsworth strived to demonstrate quality in her work. She displayed an
understanding of the concepts of behavioral intervention therapies involved in
working with persons with ASD. She was able to apply the principles of Applied
Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior, Social Skills therapies and Sensory Integration
therapies . In addition, she was able to collect and compile the data necessary to
report on the progress of her clients.
Implementing intervention therapies to persons with autism can be challenging due
to the symptoms of communication deficits, lack of social skills, sensory processing
problems, and specific behavior issues. Ms. Wadsworth repeatedly demonstrated the
determination and soundness of mind to deal with the unexpected challenges she
faced with her clients on a daily basis.
Ms. Wadsworth implemented and developed effective therapy methods for her
client's sessions. She always displayed integrity and professionalism while carrying
out her responsibilities atSECA.
In addition to her regular responsibilities, Ms. Wadsworth also volunteered time
toward our annual fundraiser and the development of our social media presence on
the internet. As a non-profit organization we rely on community support to help
maintain our presence in the community. Ms. Wadsworth displayed an
understanding of this need and volunteered hours and her skills beyond her regular
duties.
