This document discusses the importance of achieving product-market fit before focusing on growth. It defines product-market fit as when customers who want your product are happy with what you're offering. Examples of what product-market fit looks like for consumer and SaaS products are provided. The document then discusses strategies for achieving product-market fit more easily, such as cloning existing successful products or innovating on a small part of an existing product. Common mistakes like having too minimal of an MVP or betting on new human behaviors are also outlined. Finally, scaling strategies like paid ads, viral loops, and SEO once product-market fit is achieved are briefly mentioned.

Go Beyond Opens & Clicks: Using Data to Optimize Your Client's CampaignsLitmus
"It's ok, we have good open and click rates." How many times have you heard that from a client or colleague? A campaign's success is often based on a handful of metrics, but these rarely give a well-rounded portrait of true customer engagement.
Are open rates declining on mobile? Have desktop and webmail opens increased? How long do subscribers actually spend reading each message?
In this actionable webinar, we dive into the other (often more) important metrics your team should be using to develop your clients' emails.
A UX Design that Creates a Branding Experience for Financial CompaniesLogo Design Guru
User experience relates to user involvement with your brand in any way. It could be online as well as offline. This includes the environment that you provide to your audience and how you make their interaction with your brand easy and smooth. Designers invest a great amount of thought and efforts in order to increase the proficiency of UX. An excellent UX design can be created only, by providing your clients with distinct brand experience.
Ever thought how a billboard with food visuals, evokes feelings of hunger? This is because a brand connects with you and provokes you to take a decision.
Brand experience is theorized as the emotional responses triggered by brand. Feelings and sensations evoked by brand design related stimuli, forms audience perceptions and behavior. Stimuli can be brand packaging, design, identity, communications and environment.
You can provide a distinct brand experience to your customers with good user experience design. If you are an owner or marketing head of financial firm, UX design becomes even more important. Financial companies rely on customer loyalty and trust. Therefore, it is crucial for you to focus on providing distinct brand experience through exceptional UX design. If a client leaves with satisfaction that eventually guarantees profit and customer retention.
This slide share discusses visual design elements that will help your financial company to provide customers with extraordinary UX design.
Don’t get us wrong—we're not saying that editorial calendars are all bad.
But using one poorly can lead to obscure social media posts, videos and white papers that do nothing to achieve your business goals, and other time- and budget-wasters that have little to no real ROI.
89% of content marketers are focused on creating more engaging, higher quality content now or within the next 12 months. If you’re one of them, maybe it’s time to ditch the calendar (or at least use it better).
Our latest Jack POV, Why editorial calendars make your content suck, was presented by our VP, Strategy Director, Ben Grossman at this year’s SXSW Interactive, and we’re making the insights from Austin available to you.
According to a Google Temasek study, e-Commerce sales are slated to hit US$88 billion in the next 8 years. The entry of Amazon and Alibaba in the Southeast Asian e-marketplace is further proof of the e-Commerce potential in this region. While this provides plenty of opportunities for businesses to grow – there’s also more competition than ever. Launching a successful e-Commerce venture takes more than connecting a valuable product or service with the right audience. This white paper outlines key principles and strategies to help you ride this wave and come out on top.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert

The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.

5. product/market fit
When people who know they want your product
are happy with what you’re offering
... then you’re ready to shift your focus from product to
distribution and “win the market.”
6.
7. what P/M fit looks like
Consumer products:
Usage 3 out of every 7 days
Organic growth of 100s of signups/day
30% users are active the day after signup
Clear path to 100,000 users
8. what P/M fit looks like
SaaS products:
5% conversion rate from free-to-paid
3X CPA to LTV ratio
<2% monthly churn rate
Clear path to $100k MRR

17. very large # of
customers “pulling”
Ideally, there’s a huge market of pre-existing “pull” for
your product.Validate with searches, ads, etc.
A big market means there’s often room to segment.
18. lots of successful
competition
Ideally there’s lots of competition with traction. More
datapoints to figure out what the true MVP looks like.
However, ideally fragmented or incompetent or on a
different platform.
19. clear axes of
competition
Ideally, it’s very clear how you are trying to substitute
for a pre-existing product. Simpler, but different.
Different: Escaping the Competitive Herd
Blue Ocean Strategy
20. build for yourself
Ideally, you’re a superuser of your own product
category, so you can understand what competitive
dimensions work.
21. Easiest short-term
path: Clone something
that already has P/M fit
If the market keeps growing, then new users will come
to you just to try it out.
Lots of problems through.
23. More balanced:
Clone 80%,
innovate on 20%
Make sure your innovation is fundamental and can be
experienced in the first 60 seconds in the UX.
Analyze and pick a clear competitive dimension.
25. metaphors often lead
to “fake” markets
X forY
“Pinterest for business” vs “Pinterest for dogs”
The substitution test
26. too much “minimum”
in MVP
Competing in existing markets means there’s a baseline.
Build something simpler, and different, but you’ll want to
focus on switching people.
32. “throwVC money and
MBAs at the problem”
Once it works, then it’s an optimization problem to
figure out how to distribute it cheaply to as many
people as possible.
Usually through paid ads, SEO, or virality.
