the things a modern family would need for a boring life, well that s not really the case for me, but, to
much of my disappointment, it s not much better either, in terms of a house and a family , in life

Let me explain. My name is Leo, and I live a sophisticated life, on the streets. In other words, I m
homeless. But I don t really enjoy telling the story of how I ended up here. You d think that over time
society has come to accept homeless people and help them increasingly, but in truth, nothing really
happens. But it s not like I need rich people to act all high and mighty by giving to the so called low

Because Jesus extended grace to all, we should do the same. There are none who are not deserving or
worthy of our grace. This is important for us to remember. It is true that grace does not come easy, and
that it is not necessarily easy to give. Grace is not a small display of kindness; it is a sacrifice and a

Reflection About Anthropology
When I first enrolled in this class, I had absolutely no idea or clue as to what Anthropology was. I had
this sense that I had at least heard of the word before, but later realized that it was only the clothing
store I was aware of. I never knew that Indiana Jones was supposed to be considered an
Anthropologist, all I ever associated him with was stealing ancient artifacts. I also was uninformed of
the fact that Bones was a show about Forensic Anthropology. If anything, the media does not portray a
clear idea as to what Anthropology really is and what it s purpose is for humankind. I investigated and
interviewed five people to see if they had the same understanding of it as I had in the beginning which
was nothing at all. I interviewed people mostly under the age of thirty, with the exception of one
seventy eight years old. Only two of them are currently college students, while the others have no
higher education than high school. The ones with some college education were the only ones who
actually knew even the slightest about it at all. All of them had no response to what a stereotypical
Anthropologist looks like because none of them know how to decipher one through the media. It is

Guest , the reader is presented with an underlying theme of alienation. This state of alienation or
estrangement is seen by the isolation of certain characters from a group or activity and their loss or
lack of sympathy.
We read about alienation in Kafka s, The Metamorphosis where Gregor Samsa, the main character, is
detached physically, emotionally, and psychologically from his family, job, and society. In the
beginning of the story his transformation into an insect provides us with physical separation from his
human body. Gregor is initially unaware of his transformation and as a result society brings upon his
alienation. At the end of Gregor s metamorphosis he is completely detached from his environment and

not defined by, or limited to, the horizontal, vertical, or external boundaries imposed by a predefined
