KICKBALL OR SOCCER-BALL
● Kickball (or Soccer-Baseball) is a playground game, similar to
baseball.
● It is a team game where girls and boys play together.
● The pitch has 4 bases like in softball.

● Players kick the ball instead of bating it.
● Pitchers and runners alternate innings.
● Runners kick a football or volleyball ball in
order to advance players around the 4
bases and score runs. When 5 runs are
scored teams change roles.

● Pitchers try to eliminate runners. When 3 runners are eliminated
teams change roles.
● The runner is eliminated:
● when a defender touches the runner with the ball while
the runner is not on a base.
● when a defender steps on the base before the runner when
the runner is obliged to run.

● A ball caught in the air before hitting the ground eliminates
the kicker.
● Runner’s turn finishes when referee says “TIME!”.
● The team with the most runs wins.

First activity: Speed
● Kick the ball and run fast to the first base.
● Return walking slowly to the start point to recover.
● Repeat ten times the sane action.
Second activity: Strength
● In pairs with a medicine ball (500 gr).
● Start passing the ball increasing little by little the distance.
(Five minutes).
4. Why do you think it is so exciting to practise your physical activity.
Give two reasons at least.
● Because it is a very easy and funny activity you can play from the
start. You do not need a big stuff, only a playground and a ball.
● You do not need a big Physical or specific training.
● Everybody can play it. Girls and boys, strong and weak people
together without injury risk.
