Tourism industry in India is on a great boom at the moment India has become a major global tourist destination and Indian tourism industry is exploiting this potential to the hilt. Travel and tourism industry is the second highest foreign exchange earner for India, and the government has given travel & tourism organizations export house status.
Travel & tourism industry's contribution to Indian industry is immense. Tourism is one of the main foreign exchange earners and contributes to the economy indirectly through its linkages with other sectors like horticulture, agriculture, poultry, handicrafts and construction. Tourism industry also provides employment to millions of people in India both directly and indirectly through its linkage with other sectors of the economy. According to an estimate total direct employment in the tourism sector is around 20 million.

Puji syukur kami ucapkan ke hadirat Allah Swt, yang telah melimpahkan rahmat, hidayah, dan pertolongan-Nya sehingga kami dapat menyelesaikan power point yang berjudul “Manajemen Produksi dan Pemasaran” dengan tepat waktu. Power point ini kami susun untuk menyelesaikan salah satu tugas mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. Dalam penulisan power point ini penulis menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih kepada pihak-pihak yang membantu dalam menyelesaikan power point, khususnya kepada Julianto, M.Pd dan Putri Rachmadyanti, M.Pd selaku dosen pembimbing mata kuliah Kewirausahaan yang telah meluangkan waktu, tenaga dan pikiran dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan, pengarahan, dorongan dalam rangka penyelesaian penyusunan power point ini.
Power point ini membahas tentang “Manajemen Produksi dan Pemasaran”. Produksi merupakan fungsi yang ada di sebuah perusahaan manufaktur atau jasa yang mengemban fungsi untuk menciptakan kegunaan bentuk (form utility). Pemasaran (marketing) yang merupakan ujung tombak dari unit usaha, sebab bagian ini langsung berkaitan dengan konsumen.
