Practical Task: Work in your genre groups You are going take a series of photographs which will run as a sequence from a film in your chosen genre You need to think carefully about framing, camera shot, lighting, props, and who or what we see These should show your understanding of genre codes and conventions
Task: You are going to arrange your photographs into a storyboard sequence using the display paper You are then going to add notes about: Music or sound effects Transitions (look at your Film Language sheet) Type of shot and what effect you wanted to have on your audience Camera movement and why Lighting – what effect would this have? Any other notes to explain to us what you were trying to achieve in your sequence

HOW THE MEDIA PORTRAYS THE WORLD
REPRESENTATION: The media text (film) takes a person, place or thing and  re-presents  them in a certain way The film changes or adjusts things; people, places and things can be  re-presented  in many ways Let’s look at an example…

ICT Task: To research and present findings about  representation  of people and places in your chosen genre To create a Publisher document to show the above (1 per group member) Must contain an image and bullet points about  how  the person or place is  represented  in the film Only ½ hour to do this!!
