The A Level Film Studies course explores films from around the world over the last 120 years. Students will analyze the technical aspects of films, such as camerawork, lighting, and mise-en-scene, as well as the contributions of the director and actors. Films will also be studied in the social and political context of their time and place of production. The course examines how films impact audiences through cinematography, music, education, and perspectives on the world. Coursework counts for 30% and exams make up the remaining 70% of the final grade.
