This document discusses the author's mantra of "Go Beyond" and their goal of fulfilling their passion for video games by pursuing a career creating games. 1. Mantra: Go Beyond. Originally my mantra was “Rise, Meet your
goals and go beyond” But I feel that that mantra is a little to long
and very descriptive.

2. My goal is to fulfil my passion for video games, and to not just be
a gamer, but to create games.

3. I enjoy creating the world and all the props that make the world.

4. I know that my journey to become an environment artist will be
difficult.

6. Full Sail has made it possible for me to fulfill my dreams.

7. The game arts program is what I’m enrolled in.

8. To eventually get my bachelors degree.

9. I started playing video games at young age. Way back in the NES
days.

10. Since then I have not let go

11. Life got tough when I was in middle school and high school. We
had no home. Staying in motels for awhile.

12. The only thing I had then was my video games. I would play
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Silent Hill and many other
games.

13. Playing would take my mind away from our situation for a little
while and gave me peace of mind.

14. Life has not been easy for me, but at least I was able to get
through it.

15. I pushed myself to learn more about how I could get into game
development and came across Maya.

16. I then learned how to use Maya. It took months and months to
get use to it.

17. Eventually, I was doing some simple modeling. That was a win for
me.

18. After High school I had plans to go to school, but, I was unable to
since we were just getting out of our bad situation and money
was really tight.

19. I ended up finding a job at a Printing Business.

20. And learned some valuable life lessons and work habits.

21. Prior to working here, I did not care if I showed up to work late.
But soon learned how valuable you become by being on time

22. I consider myself a introvert, keeping to myself and rather work
on my own. But, I learned to open up and work as a team.

23. I would soon learn about being responsible. Responsible for my
work area, responsible for my mistakes and actions.

24. Also taking initiative of projects that no one would like to touch,
because of the amount of time it required and it’s complexity.

25. I found that the following work ethics made work much easier to
handle.

26. I have work with many different programs through out the years
but abandoned most of them because I found them to be not
worth working with. But, I stuck with what I found the easiest to
use.

27. Maya the first program I learned. I found myself coming back to
this program after trying out other 3d packages, such as
Lightwave 3d.

28. I first I thought that this program would not be something that I
would need to learn. That was back in Ver.3. Now, I know that this
program is a valuable tool in the pipeline.

29. Back in high school I started using photoshop 7, and I had an
awesome time manipulating photos of George W. Bush for some
reason.

30. I am confident in my skill as an environment artist that I
guarantee it.

31. I know that I will be a valuable asset to any company.

32. And to any team I work with. So far I have not been a
disappointment.

33. I know as long as I continue to play video games, I will continue to
push myself to move forward and be even better.

35. I know that I can go beyond the goals I set for myself. And keep
on moving forward.
