6. Chester Husted who was killed in action on October 5, 1918 in France. Husted was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, French Croix de Guerre with Palm and the Purple heart. Husted Park in Corona is named after him. A letter Pvt. Husted wrote in August 1918 to his family is posted on the Heritage Room’s website.
