Three Strikes Your Out June 16 th  1775, Bunker & Breed’s Hill on a peninsula Charlestown 1,500 American troops waited on Breed’s Hill and Bunker Hill. The British were coming to take control over the Hills It took the British three attempts to force the colonists to retreat
2 nd  Strike Using the majority of his troops General Howe  launched an attack. Though Americans ran out of ammunition many British were left injured or dead. There were many casualties and injuries left from the attack
3 rd  Strike The British expected American troops to resist an attack. The British figured out the Americans had no more ammunition so they launched a final strike which forced the colonists to retreat.
