After my pitch I sent a survey to the publisher and the audience so that I could receive some feedback. The
questions I included in the survey varied from multiple choices to asking for opinions. These results have
helped me to see how successful my pitch was. This survey has also helped me to pick out the strengths
and weaknesses of my pitch, along with the feedback from my witness statements.
1. How well did you understand the content within the presentation?
As seeninthe pie chart above there wasnoone who saidtheydidn’tunderstandthe contentatall.The resultcame
back that mostpeople understoodall the content;thisisgoodasit meansI wassuccessful atexplainingmycontent
and displayedthe contentwell. There are asmall percentage of people whosaidtheyunderstoodsomeof the
content,thiscouldbe the resultof not explainingsome topicsindepth. Overall,Ithinkthisshows thatthe majority
of contentwasexplainedandpresentedwell,althoughthere isstill roomforsome improvementinorderformy
audience tofullycomprehendthe wholeof mypresentation. FurtherresearchthatI couldconductto findoutwhich
parts people struggledwithisinterviewsorsimplysendingoutanothersurvey.

Thisnextquestionhelpedme tounderstandif the contentwasappropriate andif the reasonof misunderstanding
was because the contentwasnotsuitable forthe pitch.Bylookingatthe resultsof thisquestionIhave come tothe
conclusionthatthiswasnot the case as I receivedresultstosaythat everyone thoughtthe content wassuitable. This
isone of the strengthsof my pitchas it showsthatall the contentthatwas presentedwascorrectandI was not
wastinganytime talkingaboutthingsthatdidnot needtobe said.
2. Was there any more information that could have been added to the presentation?
The resultof this questionshowsthatthiswasa weaknessof mypresentationasthe audience/publisherbelieved
that there shouldhave beenmore informationwithinmypresentation.There wasnocommentstosaywhat
informationshouldhave beenadded,butIbelievethatIdidnot explainall mypointsvocallywhichcouldhave
resultedinmore informationneededtobe addedintomypresentation. Tofindoutif thisisthe case I couldconduct
some more researchto findout what informationcouldhave beenadded.The type of researchthatIwouldconduct
isan interviewwiththe publisher orsendinganothersurveyout.

The resultof my ratingsshowsthat I had some improvementsthatcouldhave beenmade butthe pitchwasat a
goodstandard overall.IampleasedwiththisresultasitshowsI successfullypitchedmymagazine ideatothe
publisherwithout anylarge faults.
5. Do you have any other comments, questions, or concerns?
The last question helpedtosee where Icouldmake improvementstomypitch,the mainimprovementsaddressed
was eye contactand the volume of speech.If Iwas to pitch againthiscouldbe easilyimproved asIwouldneedto
presentitbetter.AnotherimprovementthatIhave noticedfromthese commentsandquestionsisIneedtoexplain
all my contentclearly,asI didnotgo intodepthabout the simple pointssuchasthe price of the magazine for
example.
In conclusion fromlookingatthe resultsof my SurveyMonkeyIcan see that my pitchwassuccessful withportraying
my ideaof a magazine tothe publisher.Althoughthere are some roomforimprovementsthatcouldhave been
made I am satisfiedwiththe resultsIhave received.

Survey Monkey results Candidate Name: Carmel Seager Candidate Number: 4127 After my pitch I sent a survey to the publisher and the audience so that I could receive some feedback. The questions I included in the survey varied from multiple choices to asking for opinions. These results have helped me to see how successful my pitch was. This survey has also helped me to pick out the strengths and weaknesses of my pitch, along with the feedback from my witness statements. 1. How well did you understand the content within the presentation? As seeninthe pie chart above there wasnoone who saidtheydidn’tunderstandthe contentatall.The resultcame back that mostpeople understoodall the content;thisisgoodasit meansI wassuccessful atexplainingmycontent and displayedthe contentwell. There are asmall percentage of people whosaidtheyunderstoodsomeof the content,thiscouldbe the resultof not explainingsome topicsindepth. Overall,Ithinkthisshows thatthe majority of contentwasexplainedandpresentedwell,althoughthere isstill roomforsome improvementinorderformy audience tofullycomprehendthe wholeof mypresentation. FurtherresearchthatI couldconductto findoutwhich parts people struggledwithisinterviewsorsimplysendingoutanothersurvey.

Thisnextquestionhelpedme tounderstandif the contentwasappropriate andif the reasonof misunderstanding was because the contentwasnotsuitable forthe pitch.Bylookingatthe resultsof thisquestionIhave come tothe conclusionthatthiswasnot the case as I receivedresultstosaythat everyone thoughtthe content wassuitable. This isone of the strengthsof my pitchas it showsthatall the contentthatwas presentedwascorrectandI was not wastinganytime talkingaboutthingsthatdidnot needtobe said. 2. Was there any more information that could have been added to the presentation? The resultof this questionshowsthatthiswasa weaknessof mypresentationasthe audience/publisherbelieved that there shouldhave beenmore informationwithinmypresentation.There wasnocommentstosaywhat informationshouldhave beenadded,butIbelievethatIdidnot explainall mypointsvocallywhichcouldhave resultedinmore informationneededtobe addedintomypresentation. Tofindoutif thisisthe case I couldconduct some more researchto findout what informationcouldhave beenadded.The type of researchthatIwouldconduct isan interviewwiththe publisher orsendinganothersurveyout.

Do you have any other comments, questions, or concerns? The last question helpedtosee where Icouldmake improvementstomypitch,the mainimprovementsaddressed was eye contactand the volume of speech.If Iwas to pitch againthiscouldbe easilyimproved asIwouldneedto presentitbetter.AnotherimprovementthatIhave noticedfromthese commentsandquestionsisIneedtoexplain all my contentclearly,asI didnotgo intodepthabout the simple pointssuchasthe price of the magazine for example. In conclusion fromlookingatthe resultsof my SurveyMonkeyIcan see that my pitchwassuccessful withportraying my ideaof a magazine tothe publisher.Althoughthere are some roomforimprovementsthatcouldhave been made I am satisfiedwiththe resultsIhave received.
