Title The title of the lab needs to describe in very few words what type of experiment you were performing Make sure this is large and at the top of the page
Purpose The purpose explains why you did the lab What were you trying to do? What did you hope to learn?
Pre-Lab Questions Re-write the pre-lab questions Answer them in complete sentences
Materials List the materials you used for the lab
Procedures Explain the steps you took to perform the lab Be sure to include anything you did differently from the printed procedures This should also include any safety precautions you took before, during or after the experiment
Data All data should be neatly placed into a data table There should be no scribbles and the data should be easy to read Make sure to title the rows and columns in your data table Data can include observations
Conclusions What did you learn? How did you satisfy your purpose? How could you make this experiment better? Explain any sources of error This should be written in paragraph form with complete sentences
