Proposal On Juvenile Delinquency
Juvenile Delinquency has been an active issue in the criminal justice system that is considered as
an evil by the society. It is believed to be a social and psychological problem faced by the youth
and the society, which violates the legal system. The violation of the legal system makes it
important to overcome the problem. The need to prevent the juvenile delinquencyis important to
help the youth cope with the society as well as the criminal justice system. The prevention of the
delinquency is only possible if the results can be gathered for the causes of this behaviour. The
causes can be gathered by examining a group of youth who can become possible offenders by
knowing that what causes the delinquency and at what stages of the life does it trigger. The paper
will be focus on the problem of juvenile delinquency, and the factors that contribute towards the
onset of delinquency in youth. The research proposal would be based upon the previous research s
done and the data collected by those research s that depicted some of the possible factors of
delinquency found in youth that could be childhoodmaltreatment, negative relationship between the
parents and the delinquent youth, emotional disturbance faced in the adolescent, genetics and the
geographical factors. The factors would be further investigated by using them as independent
variables in the research to find out how these factors can be removed to make the community
aware of the negative impacts the

Implementation Of The Dayton Agreement
This paper analyzes the Dayton Peace Accords initialed in Dayton, Ohio, and later signed in Paris.
The Dayton agreement was an augmentation of and or arguably a follow up result of the
previously pursued peace efforts and processes (Church, para 1), this paper, however, will only
focus on the negotiation process that took place in the US, which resulted in attainment of the
Dayton Agreement. The negotiation process will be analyzed within a combined framework of
Habeeb s Formula Detail Approach and mediationdetailed by Pruitt and Kim, both of which will
serve as the primary and overarching basis for this analysis. However, relevant course materials
will be used as deemed necessary while analyzing various aspects of the negotiation process such
as the strategies employed by the negotiating parties, and the complexities special to this case,
which expanded the mediating role of the US to tackle important barriers in order to reach an
agreement.
The Negotiation Framework: Habeeb reviews the literature on the common processes used in
negotiations and thus agreeing with Zartman, advocates the formal detail approach. Zartman s
approach is well structured and parsimonious. The concession and convergence school of analysis
developed the offer counteroffer (Habbeeb 27) structure for the negotiation process. The approach
is grounded in the notion that the negotiating parties make demands, propose new solution, make
concessions, and evaluate concession behavior and reactions

Edgar Degas And Western Realism In Hokusai s Impressionism
Edgar Degas appears to have never accommodated himself to the name of impressionist, wanting
to call himself a realist, independent, or free. Like the impressionists, he looked to catch transient
minutes in the stream of present day life, yet he demonstrated little enthusiasm for painting plein
air scenes, favoring scenes in theaters and bistros lit up by fake light, which he used to
illuminate the forms of his figures, complying to his training. Degas s choice of subject matter
mirrors his modern cutting edge approach. He best liked scenes of ballet dancers. His
concentration to ballet dancers increased strongly in the late 1800s, and eventually he composed
nearly 2,000 works on the area. They address the way the human body moves, investigating the
physicality and train of the ballet dancers using distorted stances and abrupt vantage points.
Without the Japanese printmaker Hokusai, Impressionism may never have happened. He is a
father figure of Western Modernism. In Japan, Hokusai was viewed as crude, underneath the
thought of the magnificent literati. In the West, his outline of space with color and line, as
opposed to by means of one point perspective, would have a revolutionary effect. Most artist were
influenced by his landscapes but Degas, he was influenced by Hokusai s rendering of human
forms. You can truly see how he was influence by Hokusai in his bathers artwork. Degas was
uncommonly interested in women s private, rather than public, appearances. Degas

Mass Media Development And Literacy Assignment Options
Mass Media Development and Literacy Assignment Options Week one HUM/186 Allyson
Wells, instructor David Strom October 30, 2017 I have chosen Option A for this assignment. I
will be discussing the major developments in the evolution of mass media over the last century. I
will discuss how each development influenced the American culture. And finally, I will discuss
what is meant by the term, Media Coverage, and how it has affected our everyday lives. There
have been significant changes in the world of mass media over the past century. Traditional
media is the term which is used to refer to all forms of media which were present before the
internet. These means of communication included printed materials, such as newspapers,
books, and magazines. National magazines which were popular were: Time, Life, and
Newsweek. The National Geographic was a magazine which cover news and trends from across
the globe. Probably the most widely read magazine on the topic of music and entertainment was
Rolling Stone. News was broadcast on television and radio. Entertainment could be seen at the
movie theater and heard on the radio. Books were published, both fiction, as well as non fiction.
Biographies were written about the lives of individuals, from Presidents to celebrities and
athletes. If you were interested in cooking or home making, you could pick up a copy of Good
Housekeeping or Better Homes and Gardens. ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1. 1983, and

Rational Emotive Behavioural Theory Essay
The following essay will consider that there is potential for rational emotive behavioural techniques
to be used within a person centred therapeutic relationship and that the person centred approach can
be attuned with the techniques connected with rational emotive behavioural therapy. The person
centred theory of counselling proposes that everyone has the ability to become a fully functioning
person. Reaching this goal should be a focal objective in therapy. The main hypothesis of rational
emotive behaviour therapy is that emotions branch primarily from an individual s beliefs, which
then effects the interpretations they make of the responses to life situations. Each theory has
various techniques that are aim to successfully achieve these objectives for the client. . Instead of
viewing different theoretical perspectives as separate units, it is important for a therapist to
understand various theories, so if required can combine... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reaching this goal should be a focal objective in therapy (Rogers, 1961 as cited in Truscott,
2010). The founder of person centred therapy, Carl Rogers, argues that deep down inside all
people are truthful, capable, can make positive changes, and are able to live successful and
constructive lives (Corey, 2013). This foundational idea on which person centred therapy is built
on is known as an actualising tendency (Cain, 2002). The person centred theory was responsible
for a major change in focus of therapy by concentrating on the person, rather than on their current
issues (Cain, 2002). Roger s proposed that the intention of therapy was not to find answers to the
clients difficulties but rather help with the development process so clients can manage problems
when they are recognised (Corey, 2013). By placing focus on helping change the personality of the
person, it will assist the client with any future issues that

The Price Point Of Wine
Executive Summary
The report will analyse and expose the various factors that contribute to determine the price point
of wine factors including the labour cost to grow grapes and produce wine, the size and reputation
of the vineyard and the exclusivity and scarcity of the wine. Studies have shown that the global wine
market is divided into four quality segments or categories known as basic premium, popular
premium, super premium and ultra premium. Input costs for single vineyards have been divided
into five categories known as direct, labour, mechanisation, and maintenance and general costs.

2. Wine categorisation and marketing decisions
As Perrin Lockshin (2001) and Blok (2007) state, input costs must be related to the retail segment
prices or price points that are given to wines. According to studies taken by Ernst Young
Consulting in 1999, global wine market is divided into four quality segments or categories (Perrin
Locksin, 2001). These categories are known as basic premium, popular premium, super premium
and ultra premium. When the winemaker acknowledge the categories of their various wines they
will know which are viable to produce in relation the retail price point that has been given.
Studies done in Australia during 2001 by the wine journal industry emerged with a very similar
quality segment system which is divided in four categories as well; Commercial wines, Semi
premium wines, Premium wines and ultra premium wines. Various winemakers have stated that
there is only a hedonic difference between the last two categories (Blok, 2007). Retail distribution
channels will therefore vary between wine categories as the winery management determines which
channel to target. Depending on quality and quantity the winery could select to distribute for
wholesalers, retailers, cellar doors, direct consumers or a combination of these (Heijbroek, 2003;
SCSD, 2010).
Marketing, advertising and distribution are considered overhead costs as they are not part of the
production process. Marketing

Symbolism And Symbolism In Wan Echo Sonnet By Robert Pack
In ВЁAn Echo SonnetВЁ by Robert Pack, he was able to develop a clear message with his
carefully structured poem. By employing a Shakespearean Sonnet form and a rhyming echo that
answers the question raised by the voice, Pack revealed that the echo was the voiceВґs alter ego.
Through the use of structure and other literary elements such as personification, imagery, and
symbolism, the author developed the idea that although one might have insecurities about the
future, it is important to take the ВЁleapВЁ of faith in order to truly be alive.
In the first quatrain, the author starts off with general questions about life that helps characterize
the voice. In the first sentence, the voice wonders if he is able to start from nothingness. This
could be an indication for either low aspiration or being too scared to take any actions for
progression. To answer this, the echo replies with ВЁstartВЁ. In order to progress on this empty
page, everyone must start somewhere and take that one small step. The voice then worries about
the outcome of life by juxtaposing joy and grief. The echo replies that grief is an outcome of life
because it is not trying to conceal the inevitable truth. This introduction presents the voice as being
insecure and anxious as he tries to understand the meaning of life and an echo that is direct.
The next four lines address death with symbolism and personification to establish the idea of not
fearing the unknown future. In line 5, the voice talks about the life cycle

Photoshop in Business and Society
Businesses have countless applications for the computer software known as Photoshop. The
software is such an integrated part of society that businesses and scholarly articles assume people
have prior knowledge of what it is and what it does. Photoshop is defined by Oxford as
trademarked digital image editing software to alter photographic images. It is an industry standard
for digital graphics and has many applications to various businesses and media. Lev Manovich
wrote in Inside Photoshop that to count up the number of options in Photoshop and then count all
the options each option subsequently contains, that the total number of options the software allows
for would be in the thousands. Professionals in media, education, research, and many businesses
utilize the software. However, there is controversy surrounding the use of Photoshop in
advertisements that edited models to unrealistic levels, because of the impact those images have
on society. Nonetheless, Photoshop is widely used and has revolutionized business and integrated
into many industries not limited to media or photography. Photoshop has a brief history since it
has only been around for almost three decades. At the end of the 1980s, it was beginning to be
developed as a way of procrastination by Thomas Knoll, a University of Michigan graduate student
and doctoral candidate in computer vision. Knoll was trying to write programming code to display
gray scale computer images on a black and white bitmap monitor as

Differences Between Tertullian And Justin Martyr
Yves Gerard
17FA BIBL 111 Intro to Christian Hist/Thght (14)
Drawing on other parts of their writings, what are Tertullian and Justin Martyr saying about faith,
reason, and philosophy in these passages? Are their positions in conflict? What are the implications
of each perspective?
Many believe that the writings of early Church Fathers were lectured to different sects. In fact, one
may assume that there are Similarities and differences between Tertullian and Justin Martyr.
Particularly, let s compare Tertullian s and Justin Martyr perspective of faith, reason, and
philosophy! Justin Martyr is Known as the defender of the faith (Tony lane), (p.10) He looked for
truth in Greek philosophy. Likewise, his apology is in defense of the Christian faith and belief of
Christianity. Of the writings that subsist, his First Apology (c. 155 c.e.; English translation, 1861)
contains a resilient appeal for justice lectured to Antoninus. In that work, he clarifies Christian
morals to influence his reader of Christian faithfulness and honesty. However, also central to this
writing is his claim that Hebrew prophecy and Greek philosophy, both informed by the divine
Logos (the Word), pointed to the coming of Christ. Through such dispute, he facilitated to institute
the early Christian theme which faith is greater than Greek philosophy and is the result of Judaic
belief. In Justin s awareness, merely those who were controlled by fears failed to recognize these
facts. His Second Apology (c.

Andy Warhol s Influence on the Art World Essay
When you go to an art show do you understand the symbolic interpretation of the pieces? Don t feel
bad, most people don t. What s so upsetting about that is that you really miss out on the experience.
When I think about interpretation of art I think of Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol s use of iconography
changed not only the art world but the people who came into contact with his art. Once you
understand his life and art, you will understand his art as a symbolic representation. Andy Warhol
(Andrew Warhola) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1928. His parents were Julia
and Ondrej Warhola and was the youngest of three boys. Warhol became ill with St. Vitus disease
when he was younger, which is a complication of scarlet fever.... Show more content on

His early paintings had an unconventional, unique, and unfinished look about them. The images
were known to everyone in everyday life. I was looking at a bunch of Warhol s paintings and I
was confused. I was just staring at them and I m thinking why don t you look like a Warhol?
Then I realize that these paintings are from when he was younger. This was before he defined
his aesthetic. I believe this was his discovering phase then he goes into his silk screening phase.
Andy Warhol used current icons from the world for his work. One of the famous icons was the
Campbell s soup can. In 1962 Warhol displayed his Campbell s soup piece, one canvas for each
32 types of Campbell s soup. In 1960, Warhol began producing his first canvases, which he based
on comic strip subjects. In 1961, he started using the method of silk screening. Silk screening
starts with a stencil drawing then transferred with glue onto silk. Warhol s first silkscreen was
Campbell s Soup cans. Campbell s Soup was an icon in the 1960s that gave you a sense of
comfort. In spite of that, Warhol s Soup Can paintings were to provoke concern about value. At
first glance it may seem like a joke but it s actually a sophisticated and thought provoking artistic
statement. In the 1960s Andy Warhol made a sculpture that was extension of what Warhol had
done with the Campbell s Soup Cans, Brillo Boxes. The Brillo Boxes were made out of wood but

The Death Penalty Is The Ineffective And Expensive Process...
Introduction:
The ongoing problem of the death penalty system in California is the ineffective and expensive
process between sentencing and executing. The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC), a
national non profit organization serving the media and the public with analysis and information on
issues concerning capital punishment, published the total numbers of death row inmates by states
on July 1, 2016. From the data, California has the largest death rows in America. There are 741
inmates on death row in California. The next is 396 in Florida and 254 in Texas. However, there
are just 13 executed prisons in California since the reinstatement of death penalty in 1978. The
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), operating all prisons and
parole systems in California, published a document to analyze the time of execution. According
to the statistics, the average time served on death row is 17.9 years and the average age at time
of execution is 49 years old. A typical example is Clarence Ray Allen, who had been convicted in
1982, but he has not been executed until 2006. After the execution, one of the victims family
members claimed that it has taken 23 years but justice has prevailed today. Mr. Allen abused the
justice system with endless appeals until he lived longer in prison than the short 17 years of
Josephine s life ( Clarence Ray Allen Summary 4). The case of Allen reflects that most of the
prisons stay on the death row for more than two

listings. Although the Port Triton Portal is only accessible by students and potential employers, I

Extracurricular Activities UCSD s intercollegiate athletics competes in NCAA Division II in the

their intercollegiate sports, they offer many men s and women s sports, from basketball to fencing

intramural sports, but that $7 allows a student to participate in as many intramurals as they desire.
The school offers many different intramural sports, for men, women, and coed, allowing students to

The New Deal And Civil Rights
Over the years State powers has changed. The States have gained less power relative to the Federal
government. Originally the States were the sole governing power through the Articles of the
Confederation due to the fear of the development of a monarchy that the U.S. had fought so hard to
rid themselves of. Thus gave creation a new form of government through the constitution which
fundamentally began the shift of power from state to federal. Next, though significant historical
events such as the New Deal and Civil Rights we will see the Federal government infringement on
State power. Lastly, we will see how this constant struggle has continued to present day. First, let s
discuss how the constitution transferred State power to Federal power. The first form of U.S.
Government was through the Articles of Confederation. The Articles joined the States into a
collective group but allowed the states to retain their freedom and power (Lenz and Holman, 2013,
p. 31). Unfortunately, soon after the articles establishment the republic realized the need for a
stronger federal government. Thus the constitution was signed and ratified establishing a stronger
federal government to remedy the major defects of the Articles; taxing, executive office, interstate
and foreign commerce, amendment, and domestic order (Lenz and Holman, 2013, p. 32).
Therefore, the first drastic power shift occurred between State Power and Federal Power. According
to Lenz and Holman (2013), the constitution provided

Small Town Monologue
Being from small town USA, the world has not always been at my fingertips. With only one gas
station and a small community of about 450 people, Milano is not well known. Because of its
small size, resources are not very abundant. Growing up, I had to learn how to maximize the few
resources that were available to me. Also, I learned to be appreciative of what I had. My
hometown taught me many great life lessons, and I will forever be thankful for all that I have
learned while living here. The two stoplight townof Milano is located at the intersection of U.S.
Route 79 and State Highway 36, and is only an insignificant bathroom break for many travelers.
These travelers do not get to see what goes on in our quaint little town. They do not get to enjoy
our Friday night football games. They do not get to attend our tight knit community gatherings.
They do not understand that even though we don t have much, we make the most out of what we
have. Travelers who speed past Milano have no idea as to how close we all are, and the sense of
community purpose that has gone by the wayside for so many small towns in America.... Show

Bell s Palsy Condition
Bell s Palsy is a condition that results in paralysis of one side of the face. The 7th cranial nerve,
also known as the facial nerve is what controls most of the muscles of the face. This facial nerve
stems from the brainstem between the pons and the medulla, and controls the muscles of facial
expression. The function of the 7th cranial nerve is to express taste sensations from the tongue and
oral cavity. It also supplies preganglionic parasympathetic fibers to several head and neck ganglia
(citation). In the Bell s Palsy condition, there is damage to the facial nervethat controls muscles on
one side of the face which causes that side of the face to droop. Furthermore, this nerve damage
may also affect the sense of taste and the production of tears and saliva. Bell s Palsy is a condition
that comes on suddenly, and it may also get better spontaneously.
One of the most distinct features of Bell s Palsy is its unknown etiology. Previously, Bell s palsy
was speculated to be the cause of other diseases, but it is not the result of a stroke or a transient
ischemic attack, which are conditions that both can cause facial paralysis. The actual cause of
Bell s palsy has not yet been completely determined, but according to some studies, scientists
believe that Bell s palsy is caused by a viral infection such as viral meningitis or the common cold
sore virus which is caused by herpes simplex. Scientists believe that the facial nerve swells and
becomes inflamed as a reaction to the

Reasons For St Augustine s Conversion
Thesis This paper will explore the factors leading to Saint Augustine s conversion. This conversion
was believed to be the result of an ultimate battle of sexual desire with spirit.
St Augustine Biography Info
Augustine of Hippo was born on November 13, in AD 354, in Thagaste (modern day Souk Ahras,
Algeria), and died on August 28, in AD 430, in modern day Annaba, Algeria (then known as Hippo
Regius). It was in the latter city where he was named Bishop 35 years prior to his death. It is a
challenge to encapsulate renowned personalities, and with St. Augustine, this task is even more
difficult (Augustine of Hippo).
A theologian and philosopher, Augustine dithered between an earlier, positive Hellenistic outlook,
and a pessimistic Christian outlook later on in his life. Shifting from one extreme to another,
Augustine accommodated several diverse disciplines and philosophies into his comprehensive
yearning to understand a world which seemed so beset with loss, trouble and discord, in theory as
well as practice. Therefore, one of Augustine s most admired traits, and inventive elements of his
written documents, is that he could connect diverging characteristics of the four Hellenistic schools
of philosophy (Platonists, Epicureans, Skeptics, and Stoics) with various Christian ideological
doctrines.
Between Skeptic influences in Rome s New Academy to the influence of Ambrose, The Bishop of
Milan, Augustine was drifting swiftly away from Manichaeism, to the onset of his grand

Analysis Of Lord Of The Flies
Intro: Give title and author. Background.
In Lord of the Flies by John Steinback a group of young boys are stranded on an island. To survive
the boys decided to vote who should be their leader, Ralph or Jack. Piggy is a smart, fat boy who is
not respected by the boys. Ralph is the face of leadership but not the best for the job compared to
Piggy. Piggy is the brains behind Ralph who gives the essential idea to further progress the island.
Ralph is the face of leadership and according to everyone but Piggy the best for the job. In this
passage the boys are taking a vote on who should be the leader for the island. Vote for chief! Let
s vote This toy of voting was almost as pleasing as the conch. Jack started to protest but the
clamor changed from the general wish for a chief to an election by acclaim of Ralph himself.
None of the boys could have found good reason for this; what intelligence had been shown was
traceable to Piggy while the most obvious leader was Jack. But there was a stillness about Ralph
as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most obscurely,
yet most powerfully, there was the conch. The being that had blown that, had sat waiting for them
on the platform with the delicate thing balanced on his knees, was set apart. Him with the shell.
Ralph! Ralph! Let him be chief with the trumpet thing. Ralph raised a hand for silence. All right.

The Apache Indians Long And Proud Culture Essay
The First Americans
As we know, the first people to inhabit the United States were not the Europeans, but instead the
Native Americans. Part of our great nation s history involves a history that is not always so great.
Our country has endured many wars, struggles, economic and agricultural hardship and a history
that many would call shameful. However, the United States has evolved over hundreds of years
and has transcended its very existence and influenced every corner of the globe, because of those
past hardships our country has grown into what has become the most diverse, opportunistic and
free country the world has ever known. In this essay, I will discuss the ApacheIndians long and
proud culture in conjunction with their own personal struggles as a Native American tribe in North
America.
Apache Indians are dated back to 850 A.D. when they traveled south from Alaska and Canada, they
continued their southern descent until they eventually settled throughout regions in the
southwestern parts of the United States. Their first original settlements included areas in northern
Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and southern Colorado. Today the Apache live on
reservations on some four and a half million acres of land that are spread across Arizona, New
Mexico and Oklahoma. Within the Apache tribe there are ten subgroups, one of which is closely
related to the Apache and share the same dialect, but has recently become its own tribe known as
the Navajo. The other nine groups

Advantage And Disadvantages Of Cardanol
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
Recently developed wide range of innovative monomers and prepolymers starting from cardanol, a
renewable and low cost industrial grade oil obtained by vacuum distillation of Cashew nut shell
liquid (CNSL), extracted from the Cashew nuts. CNSL is a byproduct of the cashew industry. The
nut has a shell of about 3.2 mm thickness inside which is a soft honeycomb structure containing a
dark reddish brown viscous liquid. It is called the CNSL, which is the pericarp fluid of the cashew

In the search for the cost effective modern materials, CNSL and its products have a significant role

The Threat Of The Tropical Cyclone
Introduction
Throughout the nation, natural, technological, and man made disasters jeopardizes communities as
a whole. Many people rely on their local communities emergency preparedness plans, while they
should be utilizing their knowledge, information provided for them, and using their capabilities to
ready themselves and their families. The outcome that can come from any disastrous event mainly
relies on how you respond to the specific threat, and the steps one takes to minimize the risks of
such a scenario. Being from Florida, I have been subject to several types, and forms, of disasters;
but the most common and the one that can pose one of the greatest threats is the tropical cyclone,
also known as the hurricane. When concerning this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many times, these choices can be based on their previous experience and their knowledge of
tropical cyclones. Many families, including my own, that has been a resident of Florida for a
multitude of years has experienced numerous storms and aware of their capabilities. Over the past
quarter decade alone, there have been severe landings that have stricken the Florida Coast line, such
as Hurricane Andrew in 1992, Hurricane Irene in 1999, and the four storms that landed in 2004,
Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne.
All of these landings have convinced many people to seek further knowledge and to conduct better
preparation standards in the inevitability of another landing. In fact, Chris Landsea, through the
National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration Hurricane Research Division states, For
the U.S., the locations that have the highest chances are the following: Miami, Florida 48% (
2014). This means that every year Florida, Miami more specifically, has a forty eight percent
chance of being hit by a hurricane. With the high percentage of Florida possibly being struck each
year, many residents have possibly become disillusioned about the possible catastrophic damage
these storms can truly cause.
In addition to the residential firsthand knowledge, and reoccurrence of these natural disasters,
another aspect that can affect the decisions

A hobby is something that you enjoy doing in your spare time. It is an interest, a recreation or
activity that you spend time on for pleasure and for relaxation.
When you retire from work you will have time to indulge in your favourite hobby or pastime that
will help to overcome your boredom. You may also want to try out new hobbies and learn new
skills.
There are many hobbies and interests surrounding us every day. There are craft hobbies, extreme
hobbies, fun hobbies, world hobbies, great hobbies, action hobbies. Hobbies include the familiar,
the unusual or weird, unique and popular. It is like a hobby lobby in the middle of the world.

Many times your hobbies and interests go beyond your personal creative world. Make a list of
hobbies and interests.
You will discover that a hobby is something you enjoy primarily for personal rewards. Therefore,
what is your personality type? Not the person that you show to the public, but the real person within.
For example, you may communicate to others that you enjoy the outdoors, however, when invited
to join your friends on a camping trip; you make other arrangements to be elsewhere.
You enjoy the company of your friends, but your interest has changed. Camping is not your hobby,
but being at home airbrushing a design onto your motorcycle is your preference. This is the reason
for making a personality list in order to make finding a hobby an adventure for yourself.
Have you begun to notice how our business, educational, and lifestyle interests may change

Immigrant Youth Mentoring
Refugee and immigrant youth mentoring There are a number of influencing factors that challenge
refugee and immigrant youths acculturation process, including lack of family support, informal
counseling by peers or other adults and a lack of social initiatives to address culturally unique needs

More recent studies on youth development concluded that facilitating youth mentoring relationship

Comparison of Oedipus and Hamlet Essay
Comparison of Oedipus and Hamlet
Compare and contrast Oedipus and Hamlet. Is Oedipus more a man of action? Or is he more a
man driven by whim and sudden, rash decisions? Which character is more selfless? Does Hamlet
show any signs of selfish motives in his actions or inactions? Which protagonist seems more
learned? wiser? more religious? more loving? more incestuous? Which seems to be a better murder
investigator? Does Oedipus have any of Claudius motives when he kills the king, Laius? Then
which murderer is more blameworthy Oedipus or Claudius?

Both protagonists were passionately determined to find the truth.
? Both were impulsive.
? Both had immense self pride, but
? Ultimately, both were good natured.
? They seek revenge for their fathers (although this is ironic in Oedipus Rex)
? Although O s arrogance may have led to his downfall, it is their impulsiveness that does in each
man: O s decree of exile parallels the gods requirements, but Hamlet s stabbing of Ophelia s father
right after NOT stabbing Claudius means that, in the grand scheme of things, he will have to die
rather than assume the throne.
? Both plays are tragedies that result from behind the scenes machinations the gods plot against O s
family because of Laius, while King Hamlet s brother plots against him.
? Perhaps the vivid imagery of poison in Hamlet parallels the curse in the family blood in Greek
tragedies in Oedipus Rex.
? Both plays are written in highly poetic language.

Biography of Hieronymus Bosch
Hieronymus Bosch was born at the beginning of the Renaissance just after the end of the Dark
Ages. Bosch was born in the netherlandish city of Hertogenbosch. Hertogenbosch is where Bosch
got his last name. Bosch lived, grew up and died in Hertogenbosch. He never left the city, it is
surprising that his artwork became famous. Bosch came from a family of painters. His father, uncle,
and grandfather were all painters, unfortunately none of their works survived.
Bosch joined the Brotherhood of Our Lady, a local religious organization devoted to the Virgin
Mary, around 1486. Some of his first commissions came through the Brotherhood ,but
unfortunately, none of those works survived. He then married Alety Goyaerts den Meervenne. Her
family was wealthy so this union improved Bosch s social status.
Bosch s most famous painting is the Garden of Earthly Delight. It has amazing imagery and
exaggerations and also contained many vivid scenes. Few painters packed more detail into their
work than Hieronymus Bosch. The wings of Bosch s triptych open to reveal a color filled interior
bursting with strange architecture, unnatural landforms, and all types of hybrid creatures. In the
main part of the left hand panel, God the Father stands between the naked figures of Adam and
Eve, surrounded by various flora and fauna. This is the Garden of Eden, though the scene has a
dark side. In the distance, an animal tears at the flesh of his prey. Another one of Bosch s famous
paintings was the Last

On the Mississippi River about three hundred miles up from the mouth, there is a navigation lock
that allows ship to drop out of the river. In open resistance of nature they can descend as much as

adjacent terrain. Cajun country is the adjacent terrain. The apex of the French Acadian world, forms

The Revealed Preference Theory Approach To Consumer Behavior
3. Revealed Preference Theory 3.1 IntroductionMr. Paul Samuelson introduced the Revealed
Preference Theory to explain the consumer behavior. It is a method of analyzing choices of
consumers, mostly used for comparing the influence of policies on consumer behavior. The
preferences of consumers can be revealed by their purchasing habits. Revealed preference theory
emerged because existing theories of consumer demand were based on a diminishing marginal rate
of substitution (MRS). This diminishing MRS relied on the assumption that consumers always
decide to maximize their utility. While utility maximization was not a controversial assumption, the
underlying utility functions could not be measured with great certainty. Revealed preference theory

Three Years She Gew Research Paper
The English Romantic Age, which lasted from the late 18th century to the middle of the 19th
century, was born of the ideas of William Wordsworth, British poet and author. Many critics of this
era believe that Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge s co publication of a collection of
poems called Lyrical Ballads initiated Romanticism, which featured themes of nature, individualism
and emotion. Wordsworth s works are representative of this era; they include ideas about personal
experience and emotion, as well as the influence of nature on man. He also used and advocated
simple language that any reader could comprehend. This radical form of literature influenced other
poets to write in a similar manner, creating a movement that forever changed poetry. Wordsworth s
ideas that prompted the Romantic Period were due to his upbringing and experiences as a student.
Born in the spring of 1770, Wordsworth grew up with four siblings in Englandalong the Derwent
River, exposing him early on to nature s beauty. He drew inspiration for his autobiographical poem,
The Prelude, from his schooling at Cockermouth, as well as from his education in Hawkshead,
where he and his brother attended school. He then attended Cambridge, using his experiences there
to note his changing ideas of his education in the third book of The Prelude. This movement... Show

Pros And Cons Of Miranda Rights
Anisha Wise July 7, 2017 Political Science 125 Summer Online
Getting Rid of Miranda Rights The Miranda rights are the rights a law enforcement will have to
advise an individual once the police officer arrests that particular person. It is actually the
indication that officers of the law provide suspects to ensure that they are aware of their rights
before they are interrogated. It was in fact a law created after the investigations of the Miranda
vs. Arizona case. The case was comparable because it was a 5 4 conclusion. The court determined
that any form of evidence, may it be incriminating as well as evidence of innocence, should be
considered to be proof in a case; but could only be considered whenever the police let the suspect
understand that they have the right to legal representation before and also throughout questioning
and that the suspect may be quiet to prevent self incrimination before an interrogation. This can be
a staple whenever police arrests are done. I am going to specify the reason why I think that the
Miranda Rights are not needed any longer. The Miranda Rights should no longer be needed. A
single factor behind the introduction of the Miranda rights are given that before Miranda vs.
Arizona the law enforcement will continuously exercise physical violence to get confessions as well
as information from possible criminals. The Miranda Rights reduce the continuous torment to
obtain admissions of guilt. In the present day, however modern

Key Characteristics Of A Vernacular Region
A vernacular region is an area that people think is part of their cultural identity. This is because the
south has its own culture and characteristics that differentiate it from other vernacular regions
throughout the U.S.A. The south ends beneath a straight line formed by Daytona Beach and
Crystal River. This is characterized by three key characteristics: culture, immigration, and economy.
The south s culture, characterized by the confederate flag and food, are very prominent in the north
portions, but not so much in the south. The confederate flag can be seen very often in the north,
whether it be on the back of cars, on flag poles, or next the American flags on houses. However, this

The Democracy Of Color By Philip Cowan
In The Democracy of color, author Philip Cowan outlines a brief overview of the use of color in
film by noting the contribution of cinematography and the relatively blind eye given to the study of
color. Although all cinematographers have their own outlook towards color schemes, a deeper
meaning is redefined between the psychological and cultural use of color. The use of color
psychologically requires an understanding that is more universally consistent. This creates an
emotional response from the observers. The cultural use of color varies from different regional
areas. Typical use of color creates symbolism that has no psychological or cultural meaning without
setting a balanced, contextual association that connects it to viewers. Cowan challenged Russell s
argument that the fundamental component in film production can be controlled by the
cinematographer, with the use of art direction and set design, by stating that a cinematographer can
not control the color, but contribute different elucidations towards a film s images.
Method
To help understand the method used to evaluate the different color schemes used in films, Cowan
interprets many different films and the director s reasons behind the colors chosen for their films.
In Alexander Nevsky, the use of white hoods for the Teutonic Knights was used to represent
ruthlessness, as opposed to the typical mentality of innocence. This contrast used by Kracauer

Comparing The Social Science Fiction Novel 1984 And The...
A dystopia is a futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and the illusion
of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or
totalitarian control. A more recent dystopia is the book or movie The Giver. The book starts out
as what seems like a utopia where all pain, disease, and conflict have been abolished. As the book
progresses and the main character Jonas gains insight into what the people have willingly given
up their freedoms and individualities for the so called common good of the community, it
becomes more and more obvious that the community is a horrible place in which to live. Many
authors use their dystopian novels to voice their opinion of where the world is heading. The social

science fiction movie The Matrixdirected by Lana Wachowski. In the dystopian worlds in both
the book and the movie, the characters have similar feelings towards how their worlds are ran.

The Effect Of Gmms On Study Medication Adherence Has...
Our systematic review demonstrates that the use of GMMs to study medication adherence has
increased considerably in the past few years, with no studies having been conducted prior to
2010. This is likely a reflection of the fact that GMMs are a relatively newer statistical technique.
For instance, Nagin first introduced GBTMs in 1999, and MuthГ©n introduced GMMs in
2001.23, 24, According to a literature search conducted by Nagin and Odgers, a small, but rapidly
developing clinical literature base has emerged since these models were first proposed from 2000 to
2008, applications of these methods to clinical studies increased from 8 to 80 publications per
year.25 Thus, it is perhaps unsurprising, that increased familiarity through application in other
clinical areas, led to eventual adoption and popularization of the technique in studying medication
adherence. GMMs (and their GBTM counterparts) provide a sophisticated statistical method by
which to capture the heterogeneity within a given population, and often map onto how many
researchers conceptualize growth, in that, different types of individuals likely exhibit different
trajectories of behavior. Given the rapid adoption and application of such models within the clinical
literature, and the fact that this modeling technique is relatively novel, it stands to reason that there
may be certain methodological nuances which have been overlooked or ignored by researchers.

The Effect Of Pulmonary Function On Reaching V ГЂГґ O2 Peak....
SPX211 Report
Student: Heather Nicolle
Student Number: 1077265
Abstract:
The main point of this report was to determine if pulmonary function was a limiting factor in
regards to reaching VЛ™O2 peak [maximal aerobic capacity]. There were thirty two Sunshine
Coast University students that were tested over the two week period of class. The first session
was to figure out the students VЛ™O2 peak by participating in increasing high intensity exercise.
Whereas, the second class was more to do with discovering pulmonary function and measuring
forced vital capacity [FVC] and forced expired volume [FEV]. Overall, the results had proven that
overall lung function was not a primary limiting factor even though there was a positive correlation
in determining VЛ™O2 max.
Introduction:
Maximum oxygen uptake VЛ™O2 peak is classified as the highest rate at which oxygen can be
taken up and utilized by the body during severe exercise. It was one of the main variables in
exercise physiology and regularly is used to specify the cardiorespiratory fitness of an individual.1
However, there are several physiological functions such as; cardiovascular, respiratory and
metabolism [tissue] that all impact how oxygen intake and consumption is used within the body. It
was proven that patients who had chronic obstructive lung disease, had a limited exercise capacity.
Whilst normal, young subjects had a larger ventilatory reserve, due to maximal exercise capacity in
this population had a disadvantage of a

Watson Donald Trump s Speech To Analyze The Various...
You are social and expressive. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are
compassionate towards them. You are confident: you are hard to embarrass and are self
confident most of the time. And you are self controlled: you have control over your desires,
which are not particularly intense. Your choices are driven by a desire for connectedness. You
consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care
of the people around you. You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about
making your own path than following what others have done. Now we know what to look for in
the ideal presidential candidate, but Watson s job is only half done. Next Watson must psycho
analyze the various presidential candidates so we can determine which best approximates the
Reagnedy (or Kennegan) ideal. Let us start with Donald Trump, which I think we ll all agree is the
one we want to see on television even though many might not also wish to see him in the White
House. Giving Watson Donald Trump s announcement speech to analyze reveals the folowing:...

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy Essay
Today s military is a unique force in my opinion. What makes the US Military so unique is that
we have an all volunteer force. With that volunteer force there are rules and regulations that need
to be followed because serving our country is a privilege. The Don t Ask, Don t Tell policy is
claiming that even though it may be considered an infringement on human rights and freedom of
expression, it protects the rights of the rest of the military and opens a loophole for gay men and
women to serve in the armed forces. Other countries have successfully integrated gay men and
women into their militaries and compared the treatment of other minority groups in the military. Is
the Don t Ask, Don t Tell policy really effective or even... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are claims that allowing gays and lesbians into the service openly about their sexual
orientation is violation to all service members privacy. Officially, military commanders and
investigators are required to respect service members privacy and are not allowed to investigate
personnel for homosexuality. This action is described as a witch hunt. Witch hunts distract the
service members from their work and the Don t Ask, Don t Tell made this distraction easier. This
causes interference with the ability for them to do their job performance effectively. The United
States is not the only ones who use the DADT ban. There are several militaries all over the
country that has experienced this ban at one point. For example, they are Australia, Britain;
Canada, and Israel just to name a few. They have all changed or lifted their ban without any
problems and most often maintained excellent careers and good morale. Belkin, McNichol reports,
that In November 1992, the Australian Defense Forces lifted its ban on open gay and lesbian
soldiers. Using all available data from military, academic, non governmental, and other sources, this
report assesses the extent to which the lifting of the gay ban has affected the well being and
performance of the Australian military. (Belkin, McNichol) Before the Australian Defense Force
lifted their policy there were several reports of sexual harassment. The number of sexual

The Supreme Court Case Of Buck Vs. Bell
Buck vs. Bell The Supreme Court case of Buck v. Bell in 1997 is a lawsuit in which the U.S.
Supreme Court upheld a Virginia law that offered the eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded
genetically unfit. The Supreme Court s decision to uphold Virginia s statute regarding sterilization
provided the basis for enactment of similar laws across the United States and subsequent
sterilization of 65,000 Americans without their approval or that of their family members. Notably,
the ruling of this case was based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable
in medical terminology. Actually, this case primarily involved state enforced eugenic sterilization
for individuals considered feebleminded or genetically substandard in certain ways. The case
provides considerable insights concerning eugenicsand enforced sterilization in the United States
and significant concerns on whether genetics should be used for any king of legal decision.
Case Summary As previously mentioned, the Supreme Court case of Buck vs. Bell in 1927 was a
lawsuit that entailed state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded feebleminded or
somehow genetically substandard. Carrie Buck, the plaintiff, together with her mother had been
devoted to the Virginia Colony of Epileptics and Feeble Minded in Virginia (Eugenics Archive,
n.d.). The two were judged to be genetically inferior or feebleminded and immoral since they had
children out of wedlock. Moreover, Carrie Buck s child

The Four Prisons And The Movements Of Liberation Summary
Racism exists in America before early 1965 through late 1970 and continues to exist. Glenn Omatsu
author of The Four Prisons and the Movements of Liberation describes the history of the struggle of
racism as if it was a roller coaster ride for neoconservative Asian Americans with so many changes
all throughout that social movement. Omatsu mentions Japans who overcame racismwith political
activism. Activists are good political examples from the past through history by creating a social
movement with activism and individuals who fight for all equal rights. Asian Americans made a
path through history to end racism through political activism that initially led to a better life for
everyone during the 1980 s. Omatsu describes the struggle, ... racism lies in the realm of attitudes
and culture and not institutions of power. Omatsu makes the point of Asian Americans overcame
racism through the way they were brought up. he believes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

America has come a long way since the Reagan era, because twenty five years ago, the greatest
strength of the Asian American movement was the ability of activist to organize the unorganized
and bring new political players in community politics (Omatsu). During a current era there are
problems with lack of knowledge of what happened to Asian Americans, because those who were
not around to see the struggles with racism. However, by stimulating the discussion over how Asian
American define community problems, the neoconservatives bring a vibrancy to community issues
by contributing a different viewpoint (Omatsu). Young political activists voices are the solution to
end the struggle against racism for as long as there is activism that thrives our voices will be heard

Humanism In The Middle Ages Essay
Humanism is the belief that man has beauty, worth, and dignity. During the Middle Ages between
3rd to the 13th century, the life and culture are primarily focused on the church and religion.
However, towards the beginning of the 14th century, the power of the church began to greatly
decline. This decline was the main reason for the development of humanism. As people become less
interested about God, the afterlife, and the saints. They become more interested about themselves,
their natural world and here in now.
Many historians believe there are two main causes of this decline. The first one was the bubonic
plague. It was the Black Death in Europe that killed almost half of the population. As the plague
devastated and destroyed, the church was helpless to stop it. People then began to question spiritual

Prior of the 14th century, much of Europe practice the feudal system and which wealth was based
on land ownership. Generally speaking, under this system, people were seen as part of the

workers are the tools used by wealthy to work on their land holding and keep their wealth intact.
Adding to this imprisonment of a sort, the church led that to be concerned with yourselves and your
rights, there s nothing more than arrogant, rebellion and sin. One should only be concerned with
obeying the rules and following them without a question. However, because of the plaque and the
rise of trade the power of the church and feudalism strength, and the important of the individual
grew. Men in human nature were no longer seen as totally sinful and need of punishment but
instead, an independent beautiful creation of God. This is partly seen in the writings of Petrarch
the father of humanism, and which he states sameness in the mother of disgust, variety the cure! ,

Features Of Writing A Review At A Professional Standard
Regardless of the object being reviewed, there are a number of essential features of writing a
review at a professional standard. This essay will examine each of those features with reference to
two reviews of films which explore a specific theme.
Firstly, however, the meaning of the term professional standard must be established. There are
standards that all professions must follow. These are to do with ethics and values. At the very
least, standards of professionalism indicate a level of expertise , separating those who are
considered professional from the amateur. Merely deriving an income from writing a review is not
proof that a professional standard has been met. The NSW Professional Standards Council claims
that any attempts to define standards of professionalism typically centralise around some sort of
moral or ethical foundation within the practice of a specific and usually established expertise .
A standard attributable to being professional can also indicate a level of quality or attainment. An
individual review may be at a reasonably high standard but what makes it professional ?
By way of analogy, there are particular essential ingredients when baking a sponge cake... a pinch
of this and teaspoon of that. We all know, however, that, even though the same recipe has been
followed, there are sponge cakes and there are sponge cakes. Similarly reviewers may follow the
same standard format and ensure their reviews

My Career In The Military
I built my first computer in 1997 installing a brand new 2.4ghz wireless card. At that point in
time not knowing how this frequency was going to have such a profound effect on the world. I
have seen it change from a simple telephone Tx Rx to a device that allows people to upload their
every waking moment. But it has far more practical uses than this, you see this frequency has saved
mine and others lives on numerous occasions. Working as a communications specialist in the
Armed Forces over the last 15 years has shown me the value of telecommunications and I now
know that the world we have built is quite literately at the mercy of the networks that bridge the
entire planet.

I was responsible for a network that fused multiple radars to a computer system to a loud speaker
array to provide an early warning of rocket attacks, giving soldiers and civilians the chance to take
cover. This was running on WiFi which presented its own troubles as the 2.4ghz and 5ghz range
were saturated with many different devices. I was constantly rebuilding the network which at one
point had over 120 units deployed within an area the size of Reading. During my time in the forces
I was to become an instructor on many systems of communication from radios to radars.
I am a highly motivated and committed leader and know the value of teamwork having led teams
under the tightest of deadlines within austere conditions, and what I lack in recognised
qualifications I more than make up for it in a wide variety of experiences. I could write about what
I have accomplished for far more than this form allows, but that is in the past. In the present and
future I want to do better, to study something that I am keen to learn not just for me but for the
betterment of my whole family.
Since joining the military I have come to appreciate the value of education, while working with
some spectacular Officers and the two leading defence contractors Lockheed Martin and BAE I
have seen first hand where a solid education will take you.
Having been forced to re evaluate my direction over the last two years I believe that university is
my best option. I enjoy mastering computer

There are many similarities and differences between cultures, but I am comparing my culture

Dakota. I was born into a privileged life with a future ahead of me. Bo is a black male that was
born in Bessemer Alabama; however, he was not born into a privileged family. Nobody knew if
Bo would have a future, or if he was going to be alive at the age of twenty. Bo did not always
have food on the table because his family struggled to make ends meet. The environment that Bo
grew up in made him a troublesome kid. Everyday Bo would threaten kids and hurt kids because

This quote says that it should be a requirement for athletes to give back and help the community
where they came from. I think that this is similar in both my culture and the culture in the book
because most people want and need to help out and give back. I often hear how athletes are
going to hospitals and making kids smile. I also hear how they are donating money for the
community. J.J Watt, an athlete of my culture, raised thirty seven million dollars for Hurricane
Harvey relief. James Harden, an athlete of the culture described in the book, donated one million
dollars to helpful Hurricane Harvey Relief. Athletes in both cultures give back, so shouldn t it be
an expectation for every athlete to give back. They have already succeeded, so they should try to
make their communities better to give others a better chance to make the world a better

  • 2. Proposal On Juvenile Delinquency Juvenile Delinquency has been an active issue in the criminal justice system that is considered as an evil by the society. It is believed to be a social and psychological problem faced by the youth and the society, which violates the legal system. The violation of the legal system makes it important to overcome the problem. The need to prevent the juvenile delinquencyis important to help the youth cope with the society as well as the criminal justice system. The prevention of the delinquency is only possible if the results can be gathered for the causes of this behaviour. The causes can be gathered by examining a group of youth who can become possible offenders by knowing that what causes the delinquency and at what stages of the life does it trigger. The paper will be focus on the problem of juvenile delinquency, and the factors that contribute towards the onset of delinquency in youth. The research proposal would be based upon the previous research s done and the data collected by those research s that depicted some of the possible factors of delinquency found in youth that could be childhoodmaltreatment, negative relationship between the parents and the delinquent youth, emotional disturbance faced in the adolescent, genetics and the geographical factors. The factors would be further investigated by using them as independent variables in the research to find out how these factors can be removed to make the community aware of the negative impacts the ... • 3. Implementation Of The Dayton Agreement This paper analyzes the Dayton Peace Accords initialed in Dayton, Ohio, and later signed in Paris. The Dayton agreement was an augmentation of and or arguably a follow up result of the previously pursued peace efforts and processes (Church, para 1), this paper, however, will only focus on the negotiation process that took place in the US, which resulted in attainment of the Dayton Agreement. The negotiation process will be analyzed within a combined framework of Habeeb s Formula Detail Approach and mediationdetailed by Pruitt and Kim, both of which will serve as the primary and overarching basis for this analysis. However, relevant course materials will be used as deemed necessary while analyzing various aspects of the negotiation process such as the strategies employed by the negotiating parties, and the complexities special to this case, which expanded the mediating role of the US to tackle important barriers in order to reach an agreement. The Negotiation Framework: Habeeb reviews the literature on the common processes used in negotiations and thus agreeing with Zartman, advocates the formal detail approach. Zartman s approach is well structured and parsimonious. The concession and convergence school of analysis developed the offer counteroffer (Habbeeb 27) structure for the negotiation process. The approach is grounded in the notion that the negotiating parties make demands, propose new solution, make concessions, and evaluate concession behavior and reactions ... • 4. Edgar Degas And Western Realism In Hokusai s Impressionism Edgar Degas appears to have never accommodated himself to the name of impressionist, wanting to call himself a realist, independent, or free. Like the impressionists, he looked to catch transient minutes in the stream of present day life, yet he demonstrated little enthusiasm for painting plein air scenes, favoring scenes in theaters and bistros lit up by fake light, which he used to illuminate the forms of his figures, complying to his training. Degas s choice of subject matter mirrors his modern cutting edge approach. He best liked scenes of ballet dancers. His concentration to ballet dancers increased strongly in the late 1800s, and eventually he composed nearly 2,000 works on the area. They address the way the human body moves, investigating the physicality and train of the ballet dancers using distorted stances and abrupt vantage points. Without the Japanese printmaker Hokusai, Impressionism may never have happened. He is a father figure of Western Modernism. In Japan, Hokusai was viewed as crude, underneath the thought of the magnificent literati. In the West, his outline of space with color and line, as opposed to by means of one point perspective, would have a revolutionary effect. Most artist were influenced by his landscapes but Degas, he was influenced by Hokusai s rendering of human forms. You can truly see how he was influence by Hokusai in his bathers artwork. Degas was uncommonly interested in women s private, rather than public, appearances. Degas ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The National Geographic was a magazine which cover news and trends from across the globe. Probably the most widely read magazine on the topic of music and entertainment was Rolling Stone. • 6. Rational Emotive Behavioural Theory Essay The following essay will consider that there is potential for rational emotive behavioural techniques to be used within a person centred therapeutic relationship and that the person centred approach can be attuned with the techniques connected with rational emotive behavioural therapy. The person centred theory of counselling proposes that everyone has the ability to become a fully functioning person. Reaching this goal should be a focal objective in therapy. The main hypothesis of rational emotive behaviour therapy is that emotions branch primarily from an individual s beliefs, which then effects the interpretations they make of the responses to life situations. Each theory has various techniques that are aim to successfully achieve these objectives for the client. . Instead of viewing different theoretical perspectives as separate units, it is important for a therapist to understand various theories, so if required can combine... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Reaching this goal should be a focal objective in therapy (Rogers, 1961 as cited in Truscott, 2010). The founder of person centred therapy, Carl Rogers, argues that deep down inside all people are truthful, capable, can make positive changes, and are able to live successful and constructive lives (Corey, 2013). This foundational idea on which person centred therapy is built on is known as an actualising tendency (Cain, 2002). The person centred theory was responsible for a major change in focus of therapy by concentrating on the person, rather than on their current issues (Cain, 2002). Roger s proposed that the intention of therapy was not to find answers to the clients difficulties but rather help with the development process so clients can manage problems when they are recognised (Corey, 2013). By placing focus on helping change the personality of the person, it will assist the client with any future issues that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Price Point Of Wine Executive Summary The report will analyse and expose the various factors that contribute to determine the price point of wine factors including the labour cost to grow grapes and produce wine, the size and reputation of the vineyard and the exclusivity and scarcity of the wine. Studies have shown that the global wine market is divided into four quality segments or categories known as basic premium, popular premium, super premium and ultra premium. Input costs for single vineyards have been divided into five categories known as direct, labour, mechanisation, and maintenance and general costs. Wine categorisation and marketing decisions As Perrin Lockshin (2001) and Blok (2007) state, input costs must be related to the retail segment prices or price points that are given to wines. According to studies taken by Ernst Young Consulting in 1999, global wine market is divided into four quality segments or categories (Perrin Locksin, 2001). These categories are known as basic premium, popular premium, super premium and ultra premium. When the winemaker acknowledge the categories of their various wines they will know which are viable to produce in relation the retail price point that has been given. Studies done in Australia during 2001 by the wine journal industry emerged with a very similar quality segment system which is divided in four categories as well; Commercial wines, Semi premium wines, Premium wines and ultra premium wines. Various winemakers have stated that there is only a hedonic difference between the last two categories (Blok, 2007). Retail distribution channels will therefore vary between wine categories as the winery management determines which channel to target. Depending on quality and quantity the winery could select to distribute for wholesalers, retailers, cellar doors, direct consumers or a combination of these (Heijbroek, 2003; SCSD, 2010). Marketing, advertising and distribution are considered overhead costs as they are not part of the production process. Marketing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Symbolism And Symbolism In Wan Echo Sonnet By Robert Pack In ВЁAn Echo SonnetВЁ by Robert Pack, he was able to develop a clear message with his carefully structured poem. By employing a Shakespearean Sonnet form and a rhyming echo that answers the question raised by the voice, Pack revealed that the echo was the voiceВґs alter ego. Through the use of structure and other literary elements such as personification, imagery, and symbolism, the author developed the idea that although one might have insecurities about the future, it is important to take the ВЁleapВЁ of faith in order to truly be alive. In the first quatrain, the author starts off with general questions about life that helps characterize the voice. In the first sentence, the voice wonders if he is able to start from nothingness. This could be an indication for either low aspiration or being too scared to take any actions for progression. To answer this, the echo replies with ВЁstartВЁ. In order to progress on this empty page, everyone must start somewhere and take that one small step. The voice then worries about the outcome of life by juxtaposing joy and grief. The echo replies that grief is an outcome of life because it is not trying to conceal the inevitable truth. This introduction presents the voice as being insecure and anxious as he tries to understand the meaning of life and an echo that is direct. The next four lines address death with symbolism and personification to establish the idea of not fearing the unknown future. In line 5, the voice talks about the life cycle ... • 9. Photoshop in Business and Society Businesses have countless applications for the computer software known as Photoshop. The software is such an integrated part of society that businesses and scholarly articles assume people have prior knowledge of what it is and what it does. Photoshop is defined by Oxford as trademarked digital image editing software to alter photographic images. It is an industry standard for digital graphics and has many applications to various businesses and media. Lev Manovich wrote in Inside Photoshop that to count up the number of options in Photoshop and then count all the options each option subsequently contains, that the total number of options the software allows for would be in the thousands. Professionals in media, education, research, and many businesses utilize the software. However, there is controversy surrounding the use of Photoshop in advertisements that edited models to unrealistic levels, because of the impact those images have on society. Nonetheless, Photoshop is widely used and has revolutionized business and integrated into many industries not limited to media or photography. Photoshop has a brief history since it has only been around for almost three decades. At the end of the 1980s, it was beginning to be developed as a way of procrastination by Thomas Knoll, a University of Michigan graduate student and doctoral candidate in computer vision. • 10. Differences Between Tertullian And Justin Martyr Yves Gerard 17FA BIBL 111 Intro to Christian Hist/Thght (14) Drawing on other parts of their writings, what are Tertullian and Justin Martyr saying about faith, reason, and philosophy in these passages? Are their positions in conflict? What are the implications of each perspective? Many believe that the writings of early Church Fathers were lectured to different sects. In fact, one may assume that there are Similarities and differences between Tertullian and Justin Martyr. Particularly, let s compare Tertullian s and Justin Martyr perspective of faith, reason, and philosophy! Justin Martyr is Known as the defender of the faith (Tony lane), (p.10) He looked for truth in Greek philosophy. Likewise, his apology is in defense of the Christian faith and belief of Christianity. Of the writings that subsist, his First Apology (c. 155 c.e.; English translation, 1861) contains a resilient appeal for justice lectured to Antoninus. In that work, he clarifies Christian morals to influence his reader of Christian faithfulness and honesty. However, also central to this writing is his claim that Hebrew prophecy and Greek philosophy, both informed by the divine Logos (the Word), pointed to the coming of Christ. Through such dispute, he facilitated to institute the early Christian theme which faith is greater than Greek philosophy and is the result of Judaic belief. In Justin s awareness, merely those who were controlled by fears failed to recognize these facts. His Second Apology (c. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Andy Warhol s Influence on the Art World Essay When you go to an art show do you understand the symbolic interpretation of the pieces? Don t feel bad, most people don t. What s so upsetting about that is that you really miss out on the experience. When I think about interpretation of art I think of Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol s use of iconography changed not only the art world but the people who came into contact with his art. Once you understand his life and art, you will understand his art as a symbolic representation. Andy Warhol (Andrew Warhola) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1928. His parents were Julia and Ondrej Warhola and was the youngest of three boys. Warhol became ill with St. Vitus disease when he was younger, which is a complication of scarlet fever.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His early paintings had an unconventional, unique, and unfinished look about them. The images were known to everyone in everyday life. I was looking at a bunch of Warhol s paintings and I was confused. I was just staring at them and I m thinking why don t you look like a Warhol? Then I realize that these paintings are from when he was younger. This was before he defined his aesthetic. I believe this was his discovering phase then he goes into his silk screening phase. Andy Warhol used current icons from the world for his work. One of the famous icons was the Campbell s soup can. In 1962 Warhol displayed his Campbell s soup piece, one canvas for each 32 types of Campbell s soup. In 1960, Warhol began producing his first canvases, which he based on comic strip subjects. In 1961, he started using the method of silk screening. Silk screening starts with a stencil drawing then transferred with glue onto silk. Warhol s first silkscreen was Campbell s Soup cans. Campbell s Soup was an icon in the 1960s that gave you a sense of comfort. In spite of that, Warhol s Soup Can paintings were to provoke concern about value. At first glance it may seem like a joke but it s actually a sophisticated and thought provoking artistic statement. In the 1960s Andy Warhol made a sculpture that was extension of what Warhol had done with the Campbell s Soup Cans, Brillo Boxes. • 12. The Death Penalty Is The Ineffective And Expensive Process... Introduction: The ongoing problem of the death penalty system in California is the ineffective and expensive process between sentencing and executing. The Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC), a national non profit organization serving the media and the public with analysis and information on issues concerning capital punishment, published the total numbers of death row inmates by states on July 1, 2016. From the data, California has the largest death rows in America. There are 741 inmates on death row in California. The next is 396 in Florida and 254 in Texas. However, there are just 13 executed prisons in California since the reinstatement of death penalty in 1978. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), operating all prisons and parole systems in California, published a document to analyze the time of execution. According to the statistics, the average time served on death row is 17.9 years and the average age at time of execution is 49 years old. A typical example is Clarence Ray Allen, who had been convicted in 1982, but he has not been executed until 2006. After the execution, one of the victims family members claimed that it has taken 23 years but justice has prevailed today. Mr. Allen abused the justice system with endless appeals until he lived longer in prison than the short 17 years of Josephine s life ( Clarence Ray Allen Summary 4). • 14. The New Deal And Civil Rights Over the years State powers has changed. The States have gained less power relative to the Federal government. Originally the States were the sole governing power through the Articles of the Confederation due to the fear of the development of a monarchy that the U.S. had fought so hard to rid themselves of. Thus gave creation a new form of government through the constitution which fundamentally began the shift of power from state to federal. Next, though significant historical events such as the New Deal and Civil Rights we will see the Federal government infringement on State power. Lastly, we will see how this constant struggle has continued to present day. First, let s discuss how the constitution transferred State power to Federal power. The first form of U.S. Government was through the Articles of Confederation. The Articles joined the States into a collective group but allowed the states to retain their freedom and power (Lenz and Holman, 2013, p. 31). Unfortunately, soon after the articles establishment the republic realized the need for a stronger federal government. Thus the constitution was signed and ratified establishing a stronger federal government to remedy the major defects of the Articles; taxing, executive office, interstate and foreign commerce, amendment, and domestic order (Lenz and Holman, 2013, p. 32). Therefore, the first drastic power shift occurred between State Power and Federal Power. According to Lenz and Holman (2013), the constitution provided ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My hometown taught me many great life lessons, and I will forever be thankful for all that I have learned while living here. The two stoplight townof Milano is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 79 and State Highway 36, and is only an insignificant bathroom break for many travelers. These travelers do not get to see what goes on in our quaint little town. They do not get to enjoy our Friday night football games. They do not get to attend our tight knit community gatherings. Solution: 1.1 Difference (1) GET is typically used to retrieve data from server that doesn t change anything on the server. POST is used to send data to server that somehow causes a change in the state of server, such as inserting data in a database. (2) On client side, GET uses URL to submit data and the data will be seen in URL. To submit data, POST puts data in HTML HEADER. (3) For GET, the server uses Request.QueryString to get the value of variables. For POST, the server uses Request.Form to get the data submitted. (4) GET usually transfers small amount of data, while POST can transfer relatively larger amount of data. 1.2 Why one is slightly more secure than other POST is slightly more secure than GET, because using GET, parameters will be seen in the URL, while using POST, parameters are hidden from view. 2.Explain why certificate authorities are important to HTTPS /SSL. The function of the 7th cranial nerve is to express taste sensations from the tongue and oral cavity. It also supplies preganglionic parasympathetic fibers to several head and neck ganglia (citation). In the Bell s Palsy condition, there is damage to the facial nervethat controls muscles on one side of the face which causes that side of the face to droop. Furthermore, this nerve damage may also affect the sense of taste and the production of tears and saliva. Bell s Palsy is a condition that comes on suddenly, and it may also get better spontaneously. One of the most distinct features of Bell s Palsy is its unknown etiology. Previously, Bell s palsy was speculated to be the cause of other diseases, but it is not the result of a stroke or a transient ischemic attack, which are conditions that both can cause facial paralysis. The actual cause of Bell s palsy has not yet been completely determined, but according to some studies, scientists believe that Bell s palsy is caused by a viral infection such as viral meningitis or the common cold sore virus which is caused by herpes simplex. Scientists believe that the facial nerve swells and becomes inflamed as a reaction to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. Reasons For St Augustine s Conversion Thesis This paper will explore the factors leading to Saint Augustine s conversion. This conversion was believed to be the result of an ultimate battle of sexual desire with spirit. St Augustine Biography Info Augustine of Hippo was born on November 13, in AD 354, in Thagaste (modern day Souk Ahras, Algeria), and died on August 28, in AD 430, in modern day Annaba, Algeria (then known as Hippo Regius). It was in the latter city where he was named Bishop 35 years prior to his death. It is a challenge to encapsulate renowned personalities, and with St. Augustine, this task is even more difficult (Augustine of Hippo). A theologian and philosopher, Augustine dithered between an earlier, positive Hellenistic outlook, and a pessimistic Christian outlook later on in his life. Shifting from one extreme to another, Augustine accommodated several diverse disciplines and philosophies into his comprehensive yearning to understand a world which seemed so beset with loss, trouble and discord, in theory as well as practice. Therefore, one of Augustine s most admired traits, and inventive elements of his written documents, is that he could connect diverging characteristics of the four Hellenistic schools of philosophy (Platonists, Epicureans, Skeptics, and Stoics) with various Christian ideological doctrines. Between Skeptic influences in Rome s New Academy to the influence of Ambrose, The Bishop of Milan, Augustine was drifting swiftly away from Manichaeism, to the onset of his grand ... To survive the boys decided to vote who should be their leader, Ralph or Jack. Piggy is a smart, fat boy who is not respected by the boys. Ralph is the face of leadership but not the best for the job compared to Piggy. Piggy is the brains behind Ralph who gives the essential idea to further progress the island. Ralph is the face of leadership and according to everyone but Piggy the best for the job. In this passage the boys are taking a vote on who should be the leader for the island. Vote for chief! Let s vote This toy of voting was almost as pleasing as the conch. Jack started to protest but the clamor changed from the general wish for a chief to an election by acclaim of Ralph himself. None of the boys could have found good reason for this; what intelligence had been shown was traceable to Piggy while the most obvious leader was Jack. But there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance; and most obscurely, yet most powerfully, there was the conch. The being that had blown that, had sat waiting for them on the platform with the delicate thing balanced on his knees, was set apart. Him with the shell. Ralph! Ralph! Let him be chief with the trumpet thing. Ralph raised a hand for silence. All right. Who wants Jack for chief? With dreary obedience the choir raised their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Apache Indians Long And Proud Culture Essay The First Americans As we know, the first people to inhabit the United States were not the Europeans, but instead the Native Americans. Part of our great nation s history involves a history that is not always so great. Our country has endured many wars, struggles, economic and agricultural hardship and a history that many would call shameful. However, the United States has evolved over hundreds of years and has transcended its very existence and influenced every corner of the globe, because of those past hardships our country has grown into what has become the most diverse, opportunistic and free country the world has ever known. In this essay, I will discuss the ApacheIndians long and proud culture in conjunction with their own personal struggles as a Native American tribe in North America. Apache Indians are dated back to 850 A.D. when they traveled south from Alaska and Canada, they continued their southern descent until they eventually settled throughout regions in the southwestern parts of the United States. Their first original settlements included areas in northern Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and southern Colorado. Today the Apache live on reservations on some four and a half million acres of land that are spread across Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Within the Apache tribe there are ten subgroups, one of which is closely related to the Apache and share the same dialect, but has recently become its own tribe known as the Navajo. It is a method of analyzing choices of consumers, mostly used for comparing the influence of policies on consumer behavior. The preferences of consumers can be revealed by their purchasing habits. Revealed preference theory emerged because existing theories of consumer demand were based on a diminishing marginal rate of substitution (MRS). • 34. Three Years She Gew Research Paper The English Romantic Age, which lasted from the late 18th century to the middle of the 19th century, was born of the ideas of William Wordsworth, British poet and author. Many critics of this era believe that Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge s co publication of a collection of poems called Lyrical Ballads initiated Romanticism, which featured themes of nature, individualism and emotion. Wordsworth s works are representative of this era; they include ideas about personal experience and emotion, as well as the influence of nature on man. He also used and advocated simple language that any reader could comprehend. This radical form of literature influenced other poets to write in a similar manner, creating a movement that forever changed poetry. Wordsworth s ideas that prompted the Romantic Period were due to his upbringing and experiences as a student. Born in the spring of 1770, Wordsworth grew up with four siblings in Englandalong the Derwent River, exposing him early on to nature s beauty. It was in fact a law created after the investigations of the Miranda vs. Arizona case. The case was comparable because it was a 5 4 conclusion. The court determined that any form of evidence, may it be incriminating as well as evidence of innocence, should be considered to be proof in a case; but could only be considered whenever the police let the suspect understand that they have the right to legal representation before and also throughout questioning and that the suspect may be quiet to prevent self incrimination before an interrogation. • 40. The Democracy Of Color By Philip Cowan In The Democracy of color, author Philip Cowan outlines a brief overview of the use of color in film by noting the contribution of cinematography and the relatively blind eye given to the study of color. Although all cinematographers have their own outlook towards color schemes, a deeper meaning is redefined between the psychological and cultural use of color. The use of color psychologically requires an understanding that is more universally consistent. This creates an emotional response from the observers. The cultural use of color varies from different regional areas. Typical use of color creates symbolism that has no psychological or cultural meaning without setting a balanced, contextual association that connects it to viewers. Cowan challenged Russell s argument that the fundamental component in film production can be controlled by the cinematographer, with the use of art direction and set design, by stating that a cinematographer can not control the color, but contribute different elucidations towards a film s images. Method To help understand the method used to evaluate the different color schemes used in films, Cowan interprets many different films and the director s reasons behind the colors chosen for their films. No matter where in the world,California s large scale homes, famous actors/movie stars, and perfect climate will always hold it s amazing, respectable reputation. The further you re away from California the more people are amused with the aspects that make it up. With that being said, depending on where you live your aspirations of California are different or not as hyped. I realized this my Junior year in High School when I went to visit my older brother Garrett in Shanghai, China with my family. Going on vacation to China, sure I thought I would be amazed with their culture and lifestyle but what was more interesting and shocking to me was how fortunate and lucky California or the United States in general really is. Diversity in California is what makes it so different from anywhere in the world. When I traveled to China that was the first time I noticed most of the same race in one country. America has a piece of every country in them due to the migration from foreigners in the Gold rush. • 42. Comparing The Social Science Fiction Novel 1984 And The... A dystopia is a futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. A more recent dystopia is the book or movie The Giver. The book starts out as what seems like a utopia where all pain, disease, and conflict have been abolished. As the book progresses and the main character Jonas gains insight into what the people have willingly given up their freedoms and individualities for the so called common good of the community, it becomes more and more obvious that the community is a horrible place in which to live. Many authors use their dystopian novels to voice their opinion of where the world is heading. The social science fiction novel 1984 written by George Orwell has many similarities and differences as the science fiction movie The Matrixdirected by Lana Wachowski. In the dystopian worlds in both the book and the movie, the characters have similar feelings towards how their worlds are ran. In 1984 characters Winston and Julia share the same feelings towards their world, they both decide to rebel against the government, this lead the two to fall in love with each other. Winston first begins to rebel by going into one of the shops owned by the proles, this was against the rules because ВЁParty members were supposed not to go into ordinary shops ( dealing on the free market , it was called), but the rule was not strictly kept, ... • 43. The Effect Of Gmms On Study Medication Adherence Has... Our systematic review demonstrates that the use of GMMs to study medication adherence has increased considerably in the past few years, with no studies having been conducted prior to 2010. This is likely a reflection of the fact that GMMs are a relatively newer statistical technique. For instance, Nagin first introduced GBTMs in 1999, and MuthГ©n introduced GMMs in 2001.23, 24, According to a literature search conducted by Nagin and Odgers, a small, but rapidly developing clinical literature base has emerged since these models were first proposed from 2000 to 2008, applications of these methods to clinical studies increased from 8 to 80 publications per year.25 Thus, it is perhaps unsurprising, that increased familiarity through application in other clinical areas, led to eventual adoption and popularization of the technique in studying medication adherence. GMMs (and their GBTM counterparts) provide a sophisticated statistical method by which to capture the heterogeneity within a given population, and often map onto how many researchers conceptualize growth, in that, different types of individuals likely exhibit different trajectories of behavior. Given the rapid adoption and application of such models within the clinical literature, and the fact that this modeling technique is relatively novel, it stands to reason that there may be certain methodological nuances which have been overlooked or ignored by researchers. • 44. The Effect Of Pulmonary Function On Reaching V ГЂГґ O2 Peak.... SPX211 Report Student: Heather Nicolle Student Number: 1077265 Abstract: The main point of this report was to determine if pulmonary function was a limiting factor in regards to reaching VЛ™O2 peak [maximal aerobic capacity]. There were thirty two Sunshine Coast University students that were tested over the two week period of class. The first session was to figure out the students VЛ™O2 peak by participating in increasing high intensity exercise. Whereas, the second class was more to do with discovering pulmonary function and measuring forced vital capacity [FVC] and forced expired volume [FEV]. Overall, the results had proven that overall lung function was not a primary limiting factor even though there was a positive correlation in determining VЛ™O2 max. Introduction: Maximum oxygen uptake VЛ™O2 peak is classified as the highest rate at which oxygen can be taken up and utilized by the body during severe exercise. It was one of the main variables in exercise physiology and regularly is used to specify the cardiorespiratory fitness of an individual.1 However, there are several physiological functions such as; cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolism [tissue] that all impact how oxygen intake and consumption is used within the body. It was proven that patients who had chronic obstructive lung disease, had a limited exercise capacity. Whilst normal, young subjects had a larger ventilatory reserve, due to maximal exercise capacity in this population had a disadvantage of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With that volunteer force there are rules and regulations that need to be followed because serving our country is a privilege. The Don t Ask, Don t Tell policy is claiming that even though it may be considered an infringement on human rights and freedom of expression, it protects the rights of the rest of the military and opens a loophole for gay men and women to serve in the armed forces. Officially, military commanders and investigators are required to respect service members privacy and are not allowed to investigate personnel for homosexuality. This causes interference with the ability for them to do their job performance effectively. The United States is not the only ones who use the DADT ban. There are several militaries all over the country that has experienced this ban at one point. For example, they are Australia, Britain; Canada, and Israel just to name a few. • 47. The Supreme Court Case Of Buck Vs. Bell Buck vs. Bell The Supreme Court case of Buck v. Bell in 1997 is a lawsuit in which the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Virginia law that offered the eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded genetically unfit. The Supreme Court s decision to uphold Virginia s statute regarding sterilization provided the basis for enactment of similar laws across the United States and subsequent sterilization of 65,000 Americans without their approval or that of their family members. Notably, the ruling of this case was based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable in medical terminology. Actually, this case primarily involved state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals considered feebleminded or genetically substandard in certain ways. The case provides considerable insights concerning eugenicsand enforced sterilization in the United States and significant concerns on whether genetics should be used for any king of legal decision. Case Summary As previously mentioned, the Supreme Court case of Buck vs. Bell in 1927 was a lawsuit that entailed state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded feebleminded or somehow genetically substandard. During the Middle Ages between 3rd to the 13th century, the life and culture are primarily focused on the church and religion. However, towards the beginning of the 14th century, the power of the church began to greatly decline. This decline was the main reason for the development of humanism. As people become less interested about God, the afterlife, and the saints. They become more interested about themselves, their natural world and here in now. • 50. Features Of Writing A Review At A Professional Standard Regardless of the object being reviewed, there are a number of essential features of writing a review at a professional standard. This essay will examine each of those features with reference to two reviews of films which explore a specific theme. Firstly, however, the meaning of the term professional standard must be established. There are standards that all professions must follow. These are to do with ethics and values. At the very least, standards of professionalism indicate a level of expertise , separating those who are considered professional from the amateur. Merely deriving an income from writing a review is not proof that a professional standard has been met. The NSW Professional Standards Council claims that any attempts to define standards of professionalism typically centralise around some sort of moral or ethical foundation within the practice of a specific and usually established expertise . A standard attributable to being professional can also indicate a level of quality or attainment. An individual review may be at a reasonably high standard but what makes it professional ? By way of analogy, there are particular essential ingredients when baking a sponge cake... a pinch of this and teaspoon of that.
