Romeo And Juliet Operation Control Room
After the tour of the 6 training rooms that all looked the same, but were smaller than the first. Andrew
had taken her to the dormitory. He explained that many training Supremes stayed in the private dorm
rooms and ate in the cafeteria that was in the basement. Andrew then brought her back to the first
training room. It was empty of trainees which allowed Juliet to get a fuller examination of the training
grounds. It was a large area of space covering the training mats to prevent major damage from falling.
There was a large red mat in the center of the room. Curiosity filled Juliet as she wondered about that
larger mat. It was probably for one on one training, she thought, like the boxing ring in Seattle. Her
first year out of the compound, she found herself in Seattle training in a boxing arena in lower Queen

Hank Williams Influence On American Music
Despite Hank Williams rough childhood and spina bifida, he made a lasting impression on American
music and is still inspirational to young musicians.
Hiram Hank King Williams is his original name given to him by his parents on September 17, 1923.
Hank s parents made homestead in Mount Olive, Alabama in Butler county, his parents were Lon
Williams a locomotive engineer and Lillie Williams a church organists. Lon and Lillie divorced early
in Hank s childhood. He never spent time with his dad after that, he spent most of his childhood
between Georgiana and Greenville, Alabama by his mother. The reason they traveled to two places

Hank kept his interest in music throughout his whole childhood and began performing in
Montgomery, Alabamas main radio station WSFA radio. He remained there from 1937 to 1942. While
he was performing on the radio station a street singer and a good friend of Hank Williams Rufus Tee
Tot Payne an African American influenced his sound and helping him with his guitar playing skills.
Once Hank picked up the style that Rufus was doing he made it famous and this is the first time that
the honky tonk type of style of music was created. While Hank was performing on the radio station he
attracted some kids that lived nearby that knew how to play some other instruments. They called
themselves the Drifting Cowboys, while Hank was singing and playing guitar in this band his singing
voice was as strong as an artists today because since he did have any amplification he had to sing
above all of the instruments and this is where he mastered his singing and yodeling without losing

Accountability and the Importance of Taking Care of Your Equipment
Accountability stems from late Latin accomptare, meaning to account. Accountability in the military is
the obligation imposed by law or lawful order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping
accurate record of property, documents, or funds. The person having this obligation may or may not
have actual possession of the property, documents, or funds. Accountability is concerned primarily
with records, while responsibility is concerned primarily with custody, care, and safekeeping. Being

Compare And Contrast Federalists And Democratic Republicans
Federalists versus Democratic Republicans
A political party is defined as an organized group of people with roughly similar political views, that
seeks to influence the public by getting its candidates elected to public office. During George
Washington s first term, there were no publicly accepted political parties. During Washington s second
term, two parties emerged. The Federalists and Democratic Republicans are similar by being the first
political parties to emerge and are different through their stances on government power, the economy,
and foreign affairs, which all affected their group of supporters.
The Federalists and Democratic Republicans are similar by being the first political parties to emerge.
In 1797, George Washington stepped down from the presidency after two successful terms in office.
Prior to this, towards the end of his last term, he wrote his farewell address which contained his advice
to whatever comes after him. He warns the people that the emergence of political parties fighting to
control the nation would cause divisive factions. While different groups existed while George
Washington was president, he was the glue that kept the people together. But once he stepped down
from office, two main political parties emerged and began competing for control of the presidency,
Congress, and the states. These two political parties were the Federalists and the Democratic
Republicans. The two had opposing views on nearly every policy, but both began at the same

No Wonder They Call Me A Bitch Analysis
Ann Hodgman, a freelance writer and former food critic, decides to write a review of various types of
dog foods in her piece, No Wonder They Call Me a Bitch. The research aims to answer the questions
that always puzzled her as a child. Questions about the ingredients in the dog foods and whether it
taste like human food. The writer spends a week eating dog food to answer these questions. Her
results, however, reveals a disappointing truth that dog food is not as glamorous as she once thought,
instead it lacks the quality, health and taste it advertises. The first disappointment she encounters is the
quality of the dog foods. Hodgman expected to open packages filled with real meat, as advertisers
relentlessly remind buyers of a dog s love for real meat. The Gaines burger could neither be described
as poor beef, rich beef or even beef at all. It couldn t be fried and did not have that real beef smell .
Ann describes it as being very malleable, something you could make at home if you had a Play DOH
Fun Factory. (107). The Kal Kan pedigree meals were also amiss. Ann s words to describe these are
lumpy, purple, stringy and veiny. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is where Hodgman learns the meaning of by products. The Gaines burger packaging specifies
that there are no meat by products, but after reading the back she finds that there are poultry by
products instead. Poultry by products are said to contain what she describes as carcass remnants like
necks, intestines and other parts she isn t sure about. Another distasteful discovery is that these foods
are not predominantly meat. Most dog foods, especially Gaines burger, have soy listed as the main
ingredient, which over time can cause health issues in dogs. On the other hand, Purina O.N.E meals
contain beef tallow as a promoter of good skin and hair coat, but Hodgman found that beef tallow just
improved taste and edibility. This explains its non meat

Such arrangements challenge both our legal and social definitions of organizations as business
practice outpaces legal and regulatory policy especially in areas such as internal competitiveness and
trade, intellectual property, privacy, security, family, community, education and culture (Applegate,
2003).
These rapid changes call for rapid, revision and overhaul of HR strategies. The HR executives have a
big challenge in ensuring that the HR strategies are tailored in such a way as to embrace these
technological advances. The types of opportunities pursued by an organization and the technology
employed strongly influence the approach taken to developing, operating and managing IT especially
in formulating and implementing HR strategies. As IT infrastructure becomes more standardized,
modular and scalable, a shift in IT investment priorities and decisions from a cost avoidance, project
centered approach to an asset based strategic option approach and these impacts on HR strategies.
The implication of IT on HR strategies is diverse since HR strategies flow from business strategies. A
business strategy such as obtaining competitive advantage leads to emerging of HR strategies e.g.
performance management, reward strategy and employee resourcing strategy. Thus ICT can be used
effectively to source, develop and retain competent employees, reward them

How Does The Concentration Of Hydrochloric Acid Increase...
Introduction:
The collision theory states that reactions are produced by the collision of particles. Frequent collisions
produce a faster reaction time and release greater energy. This energy is converted into heat and
therefore the temperature can be measured.
There are many factors that can increase the reactivity of an element when mixed with hydrochloric
acid. These include pressure, temperature, surface area and concentration.
The atmospheric pressure of a room affects the reaction rate as it forces the particles closer together
therefore inducing more collisions. The more energy released from the particles raises the
temperature. The higher the concentration of the solutions the more particles there are therefore
making it more likely to collide. The surface area can have an influence on the rate of reaction as the
element had more exposed surfaces, allowing the reactant to collide with the element.
It was known that a reaction had occurred as there was the formation of new substances from the
existing elements such as hydrogen. This was an exothermic reaction as it produced heat which was
another factor contributing to the increased reaction rate.
Variable identification:

Carl Sauer s Notion Of A Cultural Landscape And Why Is It...
Terrence McLaughlin
Landscapes, Place and People
Dr. Harriot Beazley
28 August 2015
What is Carl Sauer s notion of a cultural landscape and why is it useful for understanding the world?
Carl Sauer, one of the foremost geography scholars of the 20th century theorized that the defining
characteristics of a cultural landscape differed from those of his predecessors. His findings, while
contradictory to some of the most respected academics of his time, helped create an entirely new way
of thinking within the discipline (Sauer 1925). However, the influence of Sauer s work extended well
beyond the confines of any one discipline. He helped establish landscape studies in cultural geography
and strongly advocated for a responsible stewardship of the sustaining earth. Additionally, he supplied
an esthetic rationale and a historical perspective to the environmental movement. His theory
denounced the previously supported theory of environmental determinism, and suggested that cultural
landscapes are shaped by humans, as well as many other cultural aspects. In a more complex sense
Sauer proposed that cultural landscapes are the product of the human population, and that the actions
of humans and define the environment in which we all live. In his own words, Sauer states that
Culture is the agent, the natural area is the medium. The cultural landscape the result.
Since Sauer first introduced his theory of cultural landscapes in 1925, much has changed in the way
our society thinks

History Of Management Consulting Can Successfully Predict...
Rapidly accelerating at a rate 10 to 15 per cent per year, a figure significantly steeper than most
industries or the GDP growth rate, the last decade of the twentieth century witnessed spectacular
growth within the management consulting industry (Armbruster and Kipping 2003). While in 1980
fewer than five consultancy firms with more than a thousand consultants existed, in 1997 there were
more than 30. This denotes that 80 per cent of all consulting experience was generated in the years
between 1980 and 1997 (Sahlin Andersson and Engwall 2002). The aim of the following essay is to
evaluate whether the history of management consulting can successfully predict its future. The

Despite these explanations holding true, this generalization cannot accurately predict the relative
growth of management consulting over other administrative roles. These statements suggest that the
growth in management consulting must be sensitive to exogenous changes, however this remarkable
run cannot solely be explained through economic convolutions (McKenna 2006).
Supporting sociologist Andrew Abbotts statement of professions develop when jurisdictions become
vacant , the most probable stimulus behind the fuelled growth of management consultants, draws back
to the 1930s, where the Glass Steagall Banking Act 1933 and the Securities Act 1933, was passed to
correct the evident structural problems and industry errors, which contemporaries considered caused
the stock market crash in October 1929 and the bank failures of the early 1930s (McKenna 1995).
These legislations prohibited the competing professional groups, such as lawyers, engineers and
accountants, from continuing to act as consultants (Edersheim 2004), which had an unintended effect
of fostering the immediate need for management consultants as a distinct profession (Stacey 2010).
Responding to this remarkable opportunity, young consultants such as James McKinsey, George
Armstrong, and Edwin Booz successfully institutionalized the field of management consulting within
only a few years. In

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Shopping In Store
In the era of rapid development of information technology, online shopping into people s life,
especially young people. Online shopping is a blow to the store, so people would compare the
advantages and the disadvantages between shopping for goods online and buying goods in store. I
think they have their own advantages and disadvantages, and online shopping and shopping in store
are both important.
The advantage of shopping in a store is to choose the quality of the goods on the spot. People all went
to shops to buy goods before online shopping is not in vogue, in store, people can see the real goods,
the problem can be solved at that time, if there is the fake goods that can be immediately returned. In
store, people also can try to use the goods, especially clothes and shoes, people can put them on and
know whether the size fits well or not. For people who like shopping in a store, those people who
shopping in stores give them keen enjoyment, they can communicate with their friends and relax on
market, at that they could buy some suitable goods. They can see the goods in stores and compare
with other ones so that they can decide which one to buy. This is a very effective way. (Marc L.

Genghis Khan And The Mongol Empire Essay
Genghis Khan, one of the most tyrannical leaders know to man, is often associated with destruction,
carnage, ruin, and bloodshed. While these adjectives are true, he is also responsible for great economic
gains and massive expansion for the Khan empire. The Mongol Dynasty began in the thirteenth
century as a group of small nomadic tribes in Central Asia. Genghis was able to unite the small tribes
and begin to conquer Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Europe. During his time of leadership he
quickly conquered land, socially reformed, and made great economic gains for the Mongol empire.
Khan was able to start a postal system, acquired new trade routes, encouraged religious freedom, and
led many successful military campaigns. While also being a leader responsible for death and
bloodshed, his tactics were new and rather progressive. Khan was hundreds of years ahead of his time
when you look at his success with military tactics, trade, politics, and social reform. The main focus of
this paper is to reveal the ways Khan went about successfully ruling and expanding the Mongol
Dynasty. To better understand Genghis Khan one can look into his past to explain his reasoning and
methods. Genghis Khan, born under the name Temüjin, was born in approximately 1162 in present
day Northern Mongolia. He grew up as a nomad with a mother, father, and many brothers and sisters.
From a very early age, he faced adversity and numerous hardships in many different forms. At the age

The Mexican American war determined the destiny of the United States of America, it determined
whether or not it would become a world power and it established the size of the United States of
America. Perhaps the war was inevitable due to the idea of Manifest Destiny Americans thought they
had the divine right to extend their territory. The Mexican American War started mainly because of the
annexation of the Republic of Texas (established in 1836 after breaking away from Mexico). The

Acadian Natives
Acadians are the descendants of a group of French speaking settlers who migrated from coastal France
in the late sixteenth century to establish a French colony called Acadia in the maritime provinces of
Canada and part of what is now the state of Maine. Forced out by the British in the mid sixteenth
century, a few settlers remained in Maine, but most resettled in southern Louisiana and are popularly
known as Cajuns.
Before 1713, Acadia was a French colony pioneered mostly by settlers from the coastal provinces of
Brittany, Normandy, Picardy, and Poitou a region that suffered great hardships in the late sixteenth and
early seventeenth centuries. In 1628, famine and plague followed the end of a series of religious wars
between Catholics and Protestants. When social tensions in coastal France ripened, more than 10,000
people left for the colony founded by Samuel Champlain in 1604 known as La Cadie or Acadia. The
area, which included what is now Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and part of
Maine, was one of the first European colonies in North America. The Company of New France

Social learning theory has already been begun to find its place in criminology. Various models and
tactics are being tested among criminals or individuals with deviant behavior. Within the field of
criminal justice there is always a task to try to understand the behaviors or intent of an individuals and
this is often achieved by understanding social learning factors. Social learning theory is growing a
place when it comes to government policies or agencies. This is because many times before an agency,
government funded program, or policy be implemented in regards to learning or education social
learning and purpose are vital. Educational programs and agencies before receiving government funds
need to provide explanation how models such as social learning will be used and the results expected
in addition to why there is a need. Klasen Crombag (2013) explain that examples are more evident

What Is The Relationship Between The Creator And The...
May Shelley crafted one of the most renowned novels of the Romantic era and gave birth the genre of
science fiction. Shelley s Frankenstein displays many themes, but none is more significant than that of
the relationship between the creator and the created. This relationship is undoubtedly complex. Victor
Frankenstein s sentiments towards his creation vary from pure intrigue as he begins to build the eight
foot tall man to utter disdain towards him as the beast begins to push back against him. Moreover, the
creation receives no nurturing from the one that brought him to life, thus turning his back on his
creator. This dynamic comes in sharp contrast to that of the Puritans during the time of William

He is overwhelmed with these emotions and the only way to release the anger is to bring death to the

bringing terror into the life of Victor with the murders of William, Justine, Henry, and Elizabeth. This
active desire to harm your creator is something unique about the relationship between the creator and
created in Frankenstein. William Bradford and his fellow Puritan Separatists fled their native country
in the pursuit of religious freedom. They believed that God was imploring them to escape the
persecution in England and they made it their chief goal to follow his will. When discussing the
reasons for why the Puritans departed Holland after about a year s stay Bradford writes, A great hope

The Sport Of Football ( Soccer )
Ronaldinho once said I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. I honestly never knew what
Ronaldinho meant by this since I first heard about the quote. Every time I played soccer or touched a

cousins, and my friends if they knew what it meant but few of them simply didn t care or didn t even
care. I was so eager to find out what he truly meant. When I was 8, in 3rd grade, I started playing the

rules I didn t know, that now I think of as the most obvious rules for the sport. For example, I didn t

of The Wife of Bath and Queen Guinevere as characters of the Middle Ages they are not powerless

The Wife of Bath was married five times and she chose men who were old. She had no children. How
she talks in her story says she had no problem saying what she thought. Her nobility was by marriage.
The Wife of Bath gained her wealth and land through the statement,
The woman s wise who s busy till she s won
The love she wants, or she ll be left with none.
But since I had them wholly in my hand
And they had given me all their land,
Why should I pay them heed and try to please,
Unless it were for profit and fore ease? (Lines 209 214).
In The Wife of Bath, the woman used her body to gain control over her husbands. As she talks to the
priest she says that the organs

Population Dynamic of the Legume-Rhizobium System
Nitrogen is essential for all forms of life in that it is required to biosynthesize basic building blocks of
plants, animals and other life forms. Atmospheric nitrogen is relatively inert; however, the fixation
process can free up the nitrogen atoms from their diatomic form (N2) to compound form (NH3) so
they could be used in many ways. Biological nitrogen fixation provides about 65% of the biosphere s
available nitrogen, and most of this is done by the cooperation between legume and rhizobia. In fact,
symbiotic nitrogen fixation by rhizobia in legume root nodules injects approximately 40 million
tonnes of nitrogen into agricultural systems each year.
The symbioses is achieved through a series of intricate interactions. And rhizobia are found as
bacteroids in infected legume hosts root nodules, where they would perform nitrogen fixation and
obtain sources of energy (like photosynthate) from the plant. Were there no oppurtunity cost in the
fixation process, natural selection among rhizobia would favor those strains whose bacteroids fix the
most nitrogen. However, nitrogen fixation is energy intensive. In the case of multiple infection, it is
mots likely that the free rider scenario would take place. Cheating rhizobia would exploit plant
resources for their own reproduction rather than nitrogen fixation, resulting in their outcompeting the
fixing rhizobia and the symbioses falling apart. Thus, host monitoring of symbiont performance and
the imposition of sanctions on

The Sociological Approach
Culture helps sociologists make sense of each individual and the surrounding world. It is the solution
to everyday problems, it helps people meet, their past, and guides us to the future. The macro level
approaches are what help sociologist understand the culture and those approaches are the structural
functionalism, social conflict, feminist approach, and sociobiology approach.
Structural functionalism approach says that culture is formed to provide order in the society. In that
view, a country with multiple cultures is a good thing. It explains that cultural values direct our lives,
give meaning to what we do, holds people together, and it helps understand what is considered
unfamiliar. This approach emphasizes a society s dominant

Why Did Fahrenheit Grow So Quickly With The Hand Without...
This is the engines of our ingenuity made possible by the friends of KUHF, Houston. Today, lets look
at thermometry. The University of Houston s Honors College presents this series about the machines
that make our civilization run, and the people whose ingenuity created them. It is 5 AM in the
morning, a mother hears her child coughing and weeping. Immediately the mother looks for and grabs
a thermometer to check for a fever. Consider the difficulty to quantity fever precisely with the hand
without the thermometer. The thermometer was able to reach American households on a grand scale
due to Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit was born in Danzig, Poland to a German merchant
family in 1686. At the age of fifteen, Fahrenheit was orphaned when his parents died from eating
poisonous mushrooms. Fahrenheit was the eldest of five siblings. His future was determined by the
city assembly, sending him to Amsterdam for an apprenticeship to learn business. Fahrenheit however
had a particular interest in science; he had zero desire to get into sales to succeed his late father s
business. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Nursing Career Choice

wish to be a nurse as the program opened my eyes to how close knit a nursing team.
I have grown up in the countryside, the nearest town being a mile or two away, I d love the
opportunity to study at a university in a big city and I love that there will be practical experience in a
variety of settings like home environment, hospitals which is one of the largest NHS providers in the
UK and out in the community which would be interesting and worthwhile.
I was torn between adult nursing and mental health nursing but after a fair amount of research I have
come to the decision that I d like to do adult nursing as I believe it would give me a broader basis to

Significance Of Trinidad And Tobago Carnival
Question: Examine the economic, social and cultural significance of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival
(20th century to present) Trinidad and Tobago s carnival is an annual celebration that is held on the
Monday and Tuesday before the Lent season of fasting , which is celebrated by the Roman Catholic
religion. The carnival festival of Trinidad and Tobago begun in the late 18th century, when the French
plantation owners , held organised masquerades balls, before the fasting of Lent. The Africian slaves
and coloureds were not allowed to participate in these celebrations. In turn they formed their own
celebration in which they called Canboulary . During the celebrations of the Masquerades Balls, the
Africian slaves and coloured had some opportunity to be engaged and enjoy themselves. When these
slaves were emancipated in the year 1838, the door was fully opened for the Africians to participate in
their own carnival celebrations. They then took over carnival and embraced it as an expression of their
freedom. They celebrated this festival with calypso music, soca music, costumes, stick fighting and
limbo. The elements of carnival were developed from the Africian slaves. Calypso music was created
in Trinidad during the 17th century by these slaves that were imported to the Caribbean island to work

Above all, its specific properties have not yet been fully exploited, which can be partially attributed to
a shortage of easily available statistical methods in the past and a lack of awareness on the side of the
researchers. In the following sections we will first discuss the properties of various measurement
scales and subsequently focus on the continuous rating scale in online surveys in more detail. Sub3
sequently we discuss the problem of outliers and nonsense data in survey research and apply
classical and robust factor analysis to our data sample. Finally, we simulate the occurrence of outliers
(„noise‟) in our data set and illustrate how different levels of noise impact the results of factor analytic
procedures.
Measurement
Scaling The usage of surveys in IS research has been heavily criticized in the past for lack of
psychometric rigor and appropriate modeling techniques. In order to remedy this problem, general
standards for conducting surveys have to be improved and constantly questioned (Pinsonneault
Kraemer, 1993; Newsted et al., 1996). When constructing a questionnaire, researchers are confronted
with the task of finding an appropriate scale to measure the construct(s) under investigation. Usually
this is done by consulting previous literature and adopting a set of items which has been previously
tested for validity and reliability. A

Erich Fromm Escape From Freedom Analysis
Release From The Chains of Own Captivity The chains of captivity are the decisions that clash with
our own freedom and keep people captive with no way out. There are cases that need to be
understanded to be able to obtain freedom and be released from captivity from themselves or an
outside authority which philosopher Erich Fromm explains. Erich Fromm was a Jewish German social
psychologist and philosopher, and also a writer notable for his social and political commentary as for
his philosophical and psychological underpinnings. In Escape from Freedom one of his important
work, Fromm uses the insights of psychoanalysis to analyze the illness of a concurrent civilization as
witnessing its willingness to give up their freedom. According to his book, man cannot live with the
responsibilities inherent by freedom so humanity will probably turn to a greater power or authority to
lessen the constraint. Fromm distinguishes the difference between positive freedom and negative
freedom. His philosophy focuses positive freedom being a possession of the capacity to act upon one s
free will, as opposed to negative freedom where freedom is interfered by other people or a institution.
To confirm Fromm s philosophy there are modern societies that have willingly given up their own
freedom to be able to follow and be blinded by the words promised to a whole society by a higher
authority. To understand why people would willingly give their freedom first there needs to be

Pricing vs. Costing
To determine the price for the product or service, the firm must understand the costs for running the
business. If the price is not enough to recover costs, the cash flow will be negative and the business
will fail.
Costs include: o Property and equipment leases o Loan repayments o Inventory o Utilities o Financing
costs o Salaries/wages/commissions. o Markdowns o Shortages o Damaged merchandise o Employee
discounts o Desired profit
Profit should be added to the list of costs and treated as a fixed cost. Nobody runs a business just to
break even.
Pricing as a Component of the Marketing Mix
Generally, marketing mix denotes the four Ps of marketing:
Product
Price
Place (distribution)
Promotion Before a product is developed, a firm needs to come up with a marketing strategy. This
involves selecting the target market and product positioning. Usually, there has to be a balance
between product quality and price. This way, price plays an important role in the marketing mix.
Pricing will always be determined by these tradeoffs

Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone
Though plays have been a form of entertainment for thousands of years, the late 19th Century saw the
invention of a new kind of medium; the motion picture.[1] Since then, comparisons between a film
and the novel it was based upon have become mainstay. Amazingly, ardent fans of a particular novel
can become polarized when the material is changed in any fashion or perceived in a different sense
than the reader imagined. Thus, Book to Film Adaptation Analysis are commonplace in today s society
and ripe with the energetic opinions of the consumer. Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone was a
novel written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.[2] It is the first book in a series
and proved immensely successful having won most of the British book awards that were judged by
children and other awards in the United States.[3] It quickly topped the New York Times best seller
list and stayed near the top for nearly two years![4] By mid 2008 official translations of the book were
published in 67 languages. Hollywood, looking for fresh material, took notice and by the end of 1999,
Rowling had sold the film rights to the first four Harry Potter books to Warner Brothers.[5] Harry
Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone released to audiences on November 16th, 2001 to great success. Like
its predecessor, it received high praise by critics.[6][7] Roger Ebert, well known for his insightful film
reviews, gave it four out of four stars calling it a classic, and particularly praised

Menarche And Menopause
INTRODUCTION
Women who were the most dormant segment of the Indian population have now become active
participants in all aspects of life (Gyan, 2015). She bear s a special gift of bearing, rearing children.
The major concern in woman s life is reproductive health and they need enormous attention.
Menarche and menopause are the two important phase of the reproductive cycle. The menopause is a
time in women s life when the reproductive capacity ceases. In menopause, the post menopausal stage
is the time next to menopause and peri menopausal is the stage during which menopausal changes
occur (Pillitteri,1999).
In early menopausal transition, estrogen levels are generally normal or even slightly increased; the
level of follicle stimulating hormone begins to elevate but is generally in the normal range (Deborah
Grady, 2006). The women, in the transition to menopause, may experience vasomotor, psychosomatic,
urogenital, psychological symptoms, and increased the tendency to obesity, as well as sexual
dysfunction. The prevalence of these symptoms linked to menopause different across ethnic,

Titration Of Hcl Lab Report
For this experiment, a series of strong acid strong base titrations were performed to determine the
unknown solution concentration of HCl. KHP was first titrated with NaOH in order to create a
standardized solution of NaOH. This solution was used to titrate a known volume of the unknown 1
HCl solution. The results were then used to determine the exact concentration of the original HCl
sample. One thing that could be changed during this lab is to use a more neutralized sample of
deionized water. Throughout the rinsing process of the pH probe, the deionized water s pH reading
would be more basic instead of neutral. Therefore, when testing the pH of the analyte, the results were
slightly basic rather than having a pH of zero. This could have resulted in the pH of the solutions
being slightly off when it came to the LabQuest readings.
The volumes of NaOH titrated at the endpoint and equivalence point related to one another throughout
the experiment. The volume was always greater at the endpoint than at the equivalence point. For the
titration of HCl and NaOH, the amount of NaOH added at the endpoint was 9.00 mL and the 2nd
derivative curve amount was 9.033 mL. Throughout Trial 2 and titrations of KHP and NaOH, this
same trend was seen. The most accurate volume amount of NaOH was determined by looking at the
equivalence point. This is the point where all of the H+ was neutralized by OH . The endpoint is
where the indicator, phenolphthalein, changed color based on pH. The color

Middle Ages
There is a commonly held idea that the middle ages in Europe (476 CE 1500 CE) were a backwards
period of stagnation and scientific degeneracy, caused by the brutal suppression of science by the evil
Catholic Church, and eventually overcome due to the work of enlightened thinkers such as Galileo
and Newton. This idea of these dark ages has existed since the 14th century, and has continued to gain
popularity through the early modern era as historians used it to compare their enlightened times to the
dark and primitive ages of the past. While this narrative is not entirely without merit, the number of
manuscripts produced during this time period was significantly lower than the times proceeding it

In September of 476 CE the last Roman emperor of the west was deposed and with this, the already
failing, Western Roman Empire dissolved. As discussed in Dr.Peter Heather s analysis in Ancient
History in depth: The Fall of Rome, the effects of this were felt on nearly every level in Europe but
impeded the development of natural philosophy in three main ways. First is that Roman infrastructure,
which had previously allowed for trade and information to freely flow throughout the empire, was
suddenly no longer being maintained and defended. This left most philosophers cut off from each
other and unable to collaborate. Second is that the fall of Western Rome led to the immediate and
rapid de urbanization of Europe. This is because the loss of the strong central empire led to the region
almost immediately fragmenting into hundreds of small kingdoms. These kingdoms lacked the
professional military of Rome, and could not collect taxes or exert control over their subjects as Rome
did. With taxes no longer a major part of day to day life and unified Roman market for goods suddenly
non existent, much of the population turned to farming and spread out into more rural areas. Third is
that, with the loss of both the central Roman bureaucracy and market, literacy

The Discovery Of Non Euclidean Geometry
IaOng Moua
Professor McLeod
Math 451: Axiomatic Geometry
Research Paper
12/13/16
History of Hyperbolic Geometry The discovery of non Euclidean geometry is credited to nineteenth
century mathematicians Carl Friedrich Gauss, Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky, and János Bolyai
because they are first to recognize that the negation of Euclid s Fifth Postulate as an axiom produced
another geometry that was as rich and solid as that of Euclidean geometry (Venema, 2012). However,
several concepts of Hyperbolic geometry were already known by that time, it just was not labeled as
Hyperbolic geometry (or non Euclidean geometry) because Hyperbolic geometry was not yet
discovered . Euclid s work was so distinguished that it was accepted as the standard so people did not
think it was possible for other geometries to exist. All in all, the discovery and growth of Hyperbolic
geometry first began with several mathematicians trying to prove that Euclid s Fifth Postulate could be
eliminated as an axiom.
Before the Recognition of Hyperbolic Geometry as a Geometry Geometry first originated as a way to
solve problems in architecture and navigation. A famous figure in geometry is Euclid. Around 300 BC,
he published a book, The Elements, which contained definitions, axioms, and postulates that would be
regarded as a standard of mathematical reasoning for the next two thousand years (Mueller, 1969).
Euclid basically gave the foundation of what is now called Euclidean geometry. However,

Examples Of Quebec Referendum Of 1995
English and French Canadians have had years of disagreements and the Quebec Referendum of 1995
proves how separate both really are. The Quebec Referendum of 1995 was the second referendum to
ask voters in the province of Quebec whether or not Quebec should declare national sovereignty and
become an independent country. The Quebec Referendum of 1995 was a defining moment in
Canadian History that emphasized the disunity between Quebec and the rest of Canada. With the
alienation of Québec, the Parti Quebecois advocating for national sovereignty, and Lucien Bouchard
taking over the leadership of the Yes side from Parizeau causing the Yes side to get momentum, are all
examples of how this historic event emphasized the disunity between Quebec and the rest of Canada.

The rest of Canada was tired of constitutional matters. However, the alienation of Québec contributed
to the poisoned atmosphere following the debate over distinct society, which brought the separatist

Parizeau, he believed that this might be the last opportunity for sovereignty for the foreseeable future.
The Parti Quebecois advocated for national sovereignty, a world where Quebec is an independent
country. They were heavily supported in the beginning, but the Yes votes dropped. Ultimately, Lucien
Bouchard took over the leadership of the Parti Quebecois which resulted in the Yes sides votes
increasing. People were naturally influence about separatism which led them to believe that being

  • 2. Romeo And Juliet Operation Control Room After the tour of the 6 training rooms that all looked the same, but were smaller than the first. Andrew had taken her to the dormitory. He explained that many training Supremes stayed in the private dorm rooms and ate in the cafeteria that was in the basement. Andrew then brought her back to the first training room. It was empty of trainees which allowed Juliet to get a fuller examination of the training grounds. It was a large area of space covering the training mats to prevent major damage from falling. There was a large red mat in the center of the room. Curiosity filled Juliet as she wondered about that larger mat. It was probably for one on one training, she thought, like the boxing ring in Seattle. Her first year out of the compound, she found herself in Seattle training in a boxing arena in lower Queen Anne. We all are just like a big family here, something you would know a lot about, he said. She didn t feel comfortable with calling him David, but she also didn t want to upset the man who keep her captive if he so pleased. What is this place, Juliet asked looking around the room, that looked much like a control room. Our operations control room, these fine men and women help our field agents during their missions, David explained, Octavia is quite the leader in this department. Juliet looked behind David to see Octavia conversing with a younger man. He looked small and weak. His dark frames matched his dark hair shaggy hair. He nodded quickly at Octavia before heading back to the computer in which he came. Juliet, David said in a demanding tone which directed her eyes back to his dark brown ones. Hiram Hank King Williams is his original name given to him by his parents on September 17, 1923. Hank s parents made homestead in Mount Olive, Alabama in Butler county, his parents were Lon Williams a locomotive engineer and Lillie Williams a church organists. Lon and Lillie divorced early in Hank s childhood. He never spent time with his dad after that, he spent most of his childhood between Georgiana and Greenville, Alabama by his mother. Hank kept his interest in music throughout his whole childhood and began performing in Montgomery, Alabamas main radio station WSFA radio. He remained there from 1937 to 1942. While he was performing on the radio station a street singer and a good friend of Hank Williams Rufus Tee Tot Payne an African American influenced his sound and helping him with his guitar playing skills. Once Hank picked up the style that Rufus was doing he made it famous and this is the first time that the honky tonk type of style of music was created. While Hank was performing on the radio station he attracted some kids that lived nearby that knew how to play some other instruments. They called themselves the Drifting Cowboys, while Hank was singing and playing guitar in this band his singing voice was as strong as an artists today because since he did have any amplification he had to sing above all of the instruments and this is where he mastered his singing and yodeling without losing control of ... Accountability and the Importance of Taking Care of Your Equipment Accountability stems from late Latin accomptare, meaning to account. Accountability in the military is the obligation imposed by law or lawful order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping accurate record of property, documents, or funds. The person having this obligation may or may not have actual possession of the property, documents, or funds. Then what will you tell your friends and family when you return home. You can t tell them you got separated because you couldn t keep track of something as simple as the tools of your trade. I was tasked to write this paper because I was in a hurry trying to get a forklift fixed, and I left my fluke multimeter in the forklift when I left for CQ duty. I was in a real hurry but that s no excuse. You see in basic they try to get you to do things while you are tired, hungry and out of your element. They do this so that you can handle going to the field and know what needs to be done and you don t make a mistake while doing it. While another NCO in my section found the fluke multimeter it could have been different. I could have lost that piece of equipment for good. • 5. Compare And Contrast Federalists And Democratic Republicans Federalists versus Democratic Republicans A political party is defined as an organized group of people with roughly similar political views, that seeks to influence the public by getting its candidates elected to public office. During George Washington s first term, there were no publicly accepted political parties. During Washington s second term, two parties emerged. The Federalists and Democratic Republicans are similar by being the first political parties to emerge and are different through their stances on government power, the economy, and foreign affairs, which all affected their group of supporters. The Federalists and Democratic Republicans are similar by being the first political parties to emerge. In 1797, George Washington stepped down from the presidency after two successful terms in office. Prior to this, towards the end of his last term, he wrote his farewell address which contained his advice to whatever comes after him. He warns the people that the emergence of political parties fighting to control the nation would cause divisive factions. While different groups existed while George Washington was president, he was the glue that kept the people together. But once he stepped down from office, two main political parties emerged and began competing for control of the presidency, Congress, and the states. These two political parties were the Federalists and the Democratic Republicans. The two had opposing views on nearly every policy, but both began at the same ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. No Wonder They Call Me A Bitch Analysis Ann Hodgman, a freelance writer and former food critic, decides to write a review of various types of dog foods in her piece, No Wonder They Call Me a Bitch. The research aims to answer the questions that always puzzled her as a child. Questions about the ingredients in the dog foods and whether it taste like human food. The writer spends a week eating dog food to answer these questions. Her results, however, reveals a disappointing truth that dog food is not as glamorous as she once thought, instead it lacks the quality, health and taste it advertises. The first disappointment she encounters is the quality of the dog foods. Hodgman expected to open packages filled with real meat, as advertisers relentlessly remind buyers of a dog s love for real meat. The Gaines burger could neither be described as poor beef, rich beef or even beef at all. It couldn t be fried and did not have that real beef smell . Ann describes it as being very malleable, something you could make at home if you had a Play DOH Fun Factory. (107). The Kal Kan pedigree meals were also amiss. Ann s words to describe these are lumpy, purple, stringy and veiny. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where Hodgman learns the meaning of by products. The Gaines burger packaging specifies that there are no meat by products, but after reading the back she finds that there are poultry by products instead. Poultry by products are said to contain what she describes as carcass remnants like necks, intestines and other parts she isn t sure about. Another distasteful discovery is that these foods are not predominantly meat. Most dog foods, especially Gaines burger, have soy listed as the main ingredient, which over time can cause health issues in dogs. On the other hand, Purina O.N.E meals contain beef tallow as a promoter of good skin and hair coat, but Hodgman found that beef tallow just improved taste and edibility. This explains its non meat ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Such arrangements challenge both our legal and social definitions of organizations as business practice outpaces legal and regulatory policy especially in areas such as internal competitiveness and trade, intellectual property, privacy, security, family, community, education and culture (Applegate, 2003). These rapid changes call for rapid, revision and overhaul of HR strategies. The HR executives have a big challenge in ensuring that the HR strategies are tailored in such a way as to embrace these technological advances. The types of opportunities pursued by an organization and the technology employed strongly influence the approach taken to developing, operating and managing IT especially in formulating and implementing HR strategies. As IT infrastructure becomes more standardized, modular and scalable, a shift in IT investment priorities and decisions from a cost avoidance, project centered approach to an asset based strategic option approach and these impacts on HR strategies. • 8. How Does The Concentration Of Hydrochloric Acid Increase... Introduction: The collision theory states that reactions are produced by the collision of particles. Frequent collisions produce a faster reaction time and release greater energy. This energy is converted into heat and therefore the temperature can be measured. There are many factors that can increase the reactivity of an element when mixed with hydrochloric acid. These include pressure, temperature, surface area and concentration. The atmospheric pressure of a room affects the reaction rate as it forces the particles closer together therefore inducing more collisions. The more energy released from the particles raises the temperature. The higher the concentration of the solutions the more particles there are therefore making it more likely to collide. The surface area can have an influence on the rate of reaction as the element had more exposed surfaces, allowing the reactant to collide with the element. It was known that a reaction had occurred as there was the formation of new substances from the existing elements such as hydrogen. This was an exothermic reaction as it produced heat which was another factor contributing to the increased reaction rate. Variable identification: The independent variable in this ... There was a range of 4°c which was the greatest difference recorded. The next concentration tested was 1.5 moles, recording a temperature change of 23.8°c. The woman claims that a hot tea spill severely burned her and also killed her dog. Her claim is that the employee who served her did not secure the lid to her tea and also did not use the Starbucks sleeve for hot beverages. Due to this incident, the woman was forced to undergo skin grafts to treat her burns. • 10. Carl Sauer s Notion Of A Cultural Landscape And Why Is It... Terrence McLaughlin Landscapes, Place and People Dr. Harriot Beazley 28 August 2015 What is Carl Sauer s notion of a cultural landscape and why is it useful for understanding the world? Carl Sauer, one of the foremost geography scholars of the 20th century theorized that the defining characteristics of a cultural landscape differed from those of his predecessors. His findings, while contradictory to some of the most respected academics of his time, helped create an entirely new way of thinking within the discipline (Sauer 1925). However, the influence of Sauer s work extended well beyond the confines of any one discipline. He helped establish landscape studies in cultural geography and strongly advocated for a responsible stewardship of the sustaining earth. Additionally, he supplied an esthetic rationale and a historical perspective to the environmental movement. His theory denounced the previously supported theory of environmental determinism, and suggested that cultural landscapes are shaped by humans, as well as many other cultural aspects. In a more complex sense Sauer proposed that cultural landscapes are the product of the human population, and that the actions of humans and define the environment in which we all live. In his own words, Sauer states that Culture is the agent, the natural area is the medium. The cultural landscape the result. Since Sauer first introduced his theory of cultural landscapes in 1925, much has changed in the way our society thinks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rapidly accelerating at a rate 10 to 15 per cent per year, a figure significantly steeper than most industries or the GDP growth rate, the last decade of the twentieth century witnessed spectacular growth within the management consulting industry (Armbruster and Kipping 2003). While in 1980 fewer than five consultancy firms with more than a thousand consultants existed, in 1997 there were more than 30. This denotes that 80 per cent of all consulting experience was generated in the years between 1980 and 1997 (Sahlin Andersson and Engwall 2002). Despite these explanations holding true, this generalization cannot accurately predict the relative growth of management consulting over other administrative roles. These statements suggest that the growth in management consulting must be sensitive to exogenous changes, however this remarkable run cannot solely be explained through economic convolutions (McKenna 2006). Supporting sociologist Andrew Abbotts statement of professions develop when jurisdictions become vacant , the most probable stimulus behind the fuelled growth of management consultants, draws back to the 1930s, where the Glass Steagall Banking Act 1933 and the Securities Act 1933, was passed to correct the evident structural problems and industry errors, which contemporaries considered caused the stock market crash in October 1929 and the bank failures of the early 1930s (McKenna 1995). These legislations prohibited the competing professional groups, such as lawyers, engineers and accountants, from continuing to act as consultants (Edersheim 2004), which had an unintended effect of fostering the immediate need for management consultants as a distinct profession (Stacey 2010). Responding to this remarkable opportunity, young consultants such as James McKinsey, George Armstrong, and Edwin Booz successfully institutionalized the field of management consulting within only a few years. • 21. Population Dynamic of the Legume-Rhizobium System Nitrogen is essential for all forms of life in that it is required to biosynthesize basic building blocks of plants, animals and other life forms. Atmospheric nitrogen is relatively inert; however, the fixation process can free up the nitrogen atoms from their diatomic form (N2) to compound form (NH3) so they could be used in many ways. Biological nitrogen fixation provides about 65% of the biosphere s available nitrogen, and most of this is done by the cooperation between legume and rhizobia. In fact, symbiotic nitrogen fixation by rhizobia in legume root nodules injects approximately 40 million tonnes of nitrogen into agricultural systems each year. The symbioses is achieved through a series of intricate interactions. And rhizobia are found as bacteroids in infected legume hosts root nodules, where they would perform nitrogen fixation and obtain sources of energy (like photosynthate) from the plant. Were there no oppurtunity cost in the fixation process, natural selection among rhizobia would favor those strains whose bacteroids fix the most nitrogen. However, nitrogen fixation is energy intensive. In the case of multiple infection, it is mots likely that the free rider scenario would take place. Cheating rhizobia would exploit plant resources for their own reproduction rather than nitrogen fixation, resulting in their outcompeting the fixing rhizobia and the symbioses falling apart. Thus, host monitoring of symbiont performance and the imposition of sanctions on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are cases that need to be understanded to be able to obtain freedom and be released from captivity from themselves or an outside authority which philosopher Erich Fromm explains. Erich Fromm was a Jewish German social psychologist and philosopher, and also a writer notable for his social and political commentary as for his philosophical and psychological underpinnings. In Escape from Freedom one of his important work, Fromm uses the insights of psychoanalysis to analyze the illness of a concurrent civilization as witnessing its willingness to give up their freedom. According to his book, man cannot live with the responsibilities inherent by freedom so humanity will probably turn to a greater power or authority to lessen the constraint. Fromm distinguishes the difference between positive freedom and negative freedom. His philosophy focuses positive freedom being a possession of the capacity to act upon one s free will, as opposed to negative freedom where freedom is interfered by other people or a institution. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pricing vs. Costing To determine the price for the product or service, the firm must understand the costs for running the business. If the price is not enough to recover costs, the cash flow will be negative and the business will fail. Costs include: o Property and equipment leases o Loan repayments o Inventory o Utilities o Financing costs o Salaries/wages/commissions. o Markdowns o Shortages o Damaged merchandise o Employee discounts o Desired profit Profit should be added to the list of costs and treated as a fixed cost. Nobody runs a business just to break even. Pricing as a Component of the Marketing Mix Generally, marketing mix denotes the four Ps of marketing: Product Price Place (distribution) Promotion Before a product is developed, a firm needs to come up with a marketing strategy. This involves selecting the target market and product positioning. Usually, there has to be a balance between product quality and price. This way, price plays an important role in the marketing mix. • 34. Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone Though plays have been a form of entertainment for thousands of years, the late 19th Century saw the invention of a new kind of medium; the motion picture.[1] Since then, comparisons between a film and the novel it was based upon have become mainstay. Amazingly, ardent fans of a particular novel can become polarized when the material is changed in any fashion or perceived in a different sense than the reader imagined. Thus, Book to Film Adaptation Analysis are commonplace in today s society and ripe with the energetic opinions of the consumer. Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone was a novel written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.[2] It is the first book in a series and proved immensely successful having won most of the British book awards that were judged by children and other awards in the United States.[3] It quickly topped the New York Times best seller list and stayed near the top for nearly two years![4] By mid 2008 official translations of the book were published in 67 languages. Hollywood, looking for fresh material, took notice and by the end of 1999, Rowling had sold the film rights to the first four Harry Potter books to Warner Brothers.[5] Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone released to audiences on November 16th, 2001 to great success. Like its predecessor, it received high praise by critics.[6][7] Roger Ebert, well known for his insightful film reviews, gave it four out of four stars calling it a classic, and particularly praised ... • 35. Menarche And Menopause INTRODUCTION Women who were the most dormant segment of the Indian population have now become active participants in all aspects of life (Gyan, 2015). She bear s a special gift of bearing, rearing children. The major concern in woman s life is reproductive health and they need enormous attention. Menarche and menopause are the two important phase of the reproductive cycle. The menopause is a time in women s life when the reproductive capacity ceases. In menopause, the post menopausal stage is the time next to menopause and peri menopausal is the stage during which menopausal changes occur (Pillitteri,1999). In early menopausal transition, estrogen levels are generally normal or even slightly increased; the level of follicle stimulating hormone begins to elevate but is generally in the normal range (Deborah Grady, 2006). The women, in the transition to menopause, may experience vasomotor, psychosomatic, urogenital, psychological symptoms, and increased the tendency to obesity, as well as sexual dysfunction. The prevalence of these symptoms linked to menopause different across ethnic, socioeconomic groups and between urban and rural women (Das Gupta, et al. 2009). These symptoms are due to the ... • 36. Titration Of Hcl Lab Report For this experiment, a series of strong acid strong base titrations were performed to determine the unknown solution concentration of HCl. KHP was first titrated with NaOH in order to create a standardized solution of NaOH. This solution was used to titrate a known volume of the unknown 1 HCl solution. The results were then used to determine the exact concentration of the original HCl sample. One thing that could be changed during this lab is to use a more neutralized sample of deionized water. Throughout the rinsing process of the pH probe, the deionized water s pH reading would be more basic instead of neutral. Therefore, when testing the pH of the analyte, the results were slightly basic rather than having a pH of zero. This could have resulted in the pH of the solutions being slightly off when it came to the LabQuest readings. The volumes of NaOH titrated at the endpoint and equivalence point related to one another throughout the experiment. The volume was always greater at the endpoint than at the equivalence point. For the titration of HCl and NaOH, the amount of NaOH added at the endpoint was 9.00 mL and the 2nd derivative curve amount was 9.033 mL. Throughout Trial 2 and titrations of KHP and NaOH, this same trend was seen. The most accurate volume amount of NaOH was determined by looking at the equivalence point. This is the point where all of the H+ was neutralized by OH . The endpoint is where the indicator, phenolphthalein, changed color based on pH. The color ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Middle Ages There is a commonly held idea that the middle ages in Europe (476 CE 1500 CE) were a backwards period of stagnation and scientific degeneracy, caused by the brutal suppression of science by the evil Catholic Church, and eventually overcome due to the work of enlightened thinkers such as Galileo and Newton. This idea of these dark ages has existed since the 14th century, and has continued to gain popularity through the early modern era as historians used it to compare their enlightened times to the dark and primitive ages of the past. While this narrative is not entirely without merit, the number of manuscripts produced during this time period was significantly lower than the times proceeding it (Buringh, Zanden. 2009), it both fails ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In September of 476 CE the last Roman emperor of the west was deposed and with this, the already failing, Western Roman Empire dissolved. As discussed in Dr.Peter Heather s analysis in Ancient History in depth: The Fall of Rome, the effects of this were felt on nearly every level in Europe but impeded the development of natural philosophy in three main ways. First is that Roman infrastructure, which had previously allowed for trade and information to freely flow throughout the empire, was suddenly no longer being maintained and defended. This left most philosophers cut off from each other and unable to collaborate. Second is that the fall of Western Rome led to the immediate and rapid de urbanization of Europe. This is because the loss of the strong central empire led to the region almost immediately fragmenting into hundreds of small kingdoms. These kingdoms lacked the professional military of Rome, and could not collect taxes or exert control over their subjects as Rome did. With taxes no longer a major part of day to day life and unified Roman market for goods suddenly non existent, much of the population turned to farming and spread out into more rural areas. Third is that, with the loss of both the central Roman bureaucracy and market, literacy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Discovery Of Non Euclidean Geometry IaOng Moua Professor McLeod Math 451: Axiomatic Geometry Research Paper 12/13/16 History of Hyperbolic Geometry The discovery of non Euclidean geometry is credited to nineteenth century mathematicians Carl Friedrich Gauss, Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky, and János Bolyai because they are first to recognize that the negation of Euclid s Fifth Postulate as an axiom produced another geometry that was as rich and solid as that of Euclidean geometry (Venema, 2012). However, several concepts of Hyperbolic geometry were already known by that time, it just was not labeled as Hyperbolic geometry (or non Euclidean geometry) because Hyperbolic geometry was not yet discovered . Euclid s work was so distinguished that it was accepted as the standard so people did not think it was possible for other geometries to exist. All in all, the discovery and growth of Hyperbolic geometry first began with several mathematicians trying to prove that Euclid s Fifth Postulate could be eliminated as an axiom. Before the Recognition of Hyperbolic Geometry as a Geometry Geometry first originated as a way to solve problems in architecture and navigation. A famous figure in geometry is Euclid. Around 300 BC, he published a book, The Elements, which contained definitions, axioms, and postulates that would be regarded as a standard of mathematical reasoning for the next two thousand years (Mueller, 1969). Euclid basically gave the foundation of what is now called Euclidean geometry. However, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Examples Of Quebec Referendum Of 1995 English and French Canadians have had years of disagreements and the Quebec Referendum of 1995 proves how separate both really are. The Quebec Referendum of 1995 was the second referendum to ask voters in the province of Quebec whether or not Quebec should declare national sovereignty and become an independent country. The Quebec Referendum of 1995 was a defining moment in Canadian History that emphasized the disunity between Quebec and the rest of Canada. With the alienation of Québec, the Parti Quebecois advocating for national sovereignty, and Lucien Bouchard taking over the leadership of the Yes side from Parizeau causing the Yes side to get momentum, are all examples of how this historic event emphasized the disunity between Quebec and the rest of Canada. The Parti Quebecois advocated for national sovereignty, a world where Quebec is an independent country. They were heavily supported in the beginning, but the Yes votes dropped. Ultimately, Lucien Bouchard took over the leadership of the Parti Quebecois which resulted in the Yes sides votes increasing.
