Multiple-channel business model
Bridging service innovation in China
Abstract:
Since the 1960s, design has shifted from manufacturing, market, and now to a customer-focused era. We have undergone the Industrial Age and the Information Age, and now are at the “Smart Age”. In western worlds, these three ages were iterated one after another. However in China, this evolution
was accelerated by “joint innovation”. In this intersected age, neither just having online nor offline model can fix the issues that we have in user experience and service. With this, we witness service design with multiple-channel business model emerging in front of people’s eyesight.
Innovation:
At this great SDN event, Cathy and Xue will provide a glimpse of the unique characteristics of service innovation process in china for guests from all parts of the world through interaction and co-creation. strategies being used by their peers.
Taking place in London, the capital of United Kingdom, in an exclusive
5*Hotel, the forum will provide a distraction free environment where
you can discuss hot and up to date HR issues relating to organizational
workplace. In addition to the above all participants are able to take
advantage of a famous “London Eye River Cruise“ and wil

Practical Guide for Leading Teams in Times of Change book.
Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a strategic role in the
survival of an organization. In this time of global financial crisis, Human
Resource (HR) managers must not only innovate but must also act as
change agents, strategists, mentors, counselors and motivators. They
must adopt a people-centered model of management instead of the
go-get-them approach. The latter approach will not only push down
the morale of your employees but it will also shove your talented
workers from leaving your organization.

FOCUSED 'WORKSPACE' PANEL DISCUSSION
• Desks. Desks and their accompanying file cabinets are a 19th century
solution to the sudden influx of paper brought by the industrial
revolution. The desk is a tool for sorting, marking and filing paper. But, as
paper becomes less and less relevant to most work, the desk has become
an island of personalization in otherwise immutable office landscapes;
a surface for knick-knacks. Do we need desks? How else can we build
identification at work?
• Hoteling. Some companies have stripped staff of individual space,
making all work-stations communal and unassigned. Primarily creating
deep anxiety and a sense of rootlessness. How can companies support
mobility without creating alienation?
• Collaboration and quiet in an open office. Everyone hates cubicles but
there are many unhappy workers in many open offices all over the world.
How can we make privacy happen without diminishing visibility?
• Density. There is a push to shrink the individuals footprint within an
office space. How do we create density without anonymity?

Built-in Workshop
Smart Workspace Design
Developing Plans of Action
Smart organizations understand that their primary
goal is to enhance the performance of their people.
In a knowledge work economy, people are the engine
that keep companies growing, adapting, improving and
innovating
Not surprisingly, mindful and smart workplace design can be
a powerful tool for supporting employee performance. And a
collateral benefit is that what typically supports productivity
also enhances employee health and wellness – it’s all
interrelated.
• How can the workplace better support human performance?
• How can the workplace support all of the different activities
involved with knowledge work – things like collaboration,
creativity, innovation, deep thinking and mentorship?
• The three factors of performance (ability - motivation -
opportunity) enabled and supported by work environments
• Individual roadmap: how are you going to increase your
own smart workspace design literacy and sophistication?
• Organization roadmap: what does your organization
need to do transform itself?
• Leadership roadmap: what role will you take on as
a mindful, workspace redesigner leader to help the
transformation effort and to work effectively with others?
• Guided individual and small group activities
• Large group presentations and discussion
15:40 INTERACTIVE SESSION Summit Recap

the city, its impressive architecture and more than 1,500 bridges.
There is something for every traveller's taste here, whether you prefer
culture and history, serious partying, or just the relaxing charm of an
old European city.

Aaron Taylor Harvey is a strong advocate for
designing in the 3rd and 4th dimension, he
believes architecture should build personal narrative
and transform the everyday not just look good in
photos. After 4 years of running Myriad Harbor,

interiors, Aaron Taylor Harvey and Rachael Yu co-founded
the Airbnb Environments team in april 2014.
