  4. 4. Content 600 + minutes of networking STRUCTURED Networking Robert Kiyosaki said, “The richest people in the world look for and build networks, everyone else looks for work.” Part of the reason we go to conferences is to meet other people. This years conference contains more than 600 minutes of structured networking time. EAM Café The best ideas come with a “good cup of coffee.” Our ice-breaker morning session consists of small Round Tables with speakers, business partners and attendees where the participants will discuss the main challenges and cutting edge topics of the conference in a relaxed atmosphere. Peer to peer meetings Our Peer to Peer meetings are tailor made for attendees and partners to privately meet at the conference and have business critical conversations, on a prearranged basis via our website. Make things happen Don’t wait with starting your next project. Start at the conference. Get at least three action points from every presentation that you can incorporate in your everyday work or next project, discuss these action points with the speakers or the other attendees during the networking breaks or the roundtables and recap before the conference is over. Address you’re unclear questions during the Panel of discussion and the Fishbowl. During the conference, exchange contacts and follow up with them after the conference. Put everything on paper and start working on it the day after the conference. “Conferences should present new and exciting information which can not be presented differently and provide plenty of networking opportunities for attendees to share their experience and benchmark their strategy” Editorial Director Goran Cvetanovski, goran.cvetanovski@copperberg.com, Creative Director and Website Development Robert Dahlqvist, robert.dahlqvist@coordinatum.com, Marketing Director Malin Petterson, +46 8 000 92 91, malin.petterson@copperberg.com, Business Advisor Simon Wisniewski, +46 8 122 015 85, simon.wisniewski@copperberg.com. 5. 5. Features Editor’s note Towards Value Driven EAM “Right people, right place, right knowledge, right tools” - Jan Majercak, Operations manager, Mondi This is what Jan thought about the last years conference. But I would like to use his words in another context. Like every other function, for Asset Management to generate greater value for the organisation, it needs strong leadership (right people). Strong leadership will ensure that the importance and the impact of Enterprise Asset Management to the overall business is clearly communicated to senior management and across the entire organisation (right place). In addition they should make sure that the organisation has and is continuously improving processes and methodologies (right knowledge) that will bring higher Return of Assets. Knowledge is often linked with information and nowadays information is linked with Data. IBM and other industry leaders report that 80–90% of the world’s existing data has been created in the last two years, and this also apply to the EAM space as well. Today´s Asset Managers and in-house asset analysts have a tremendous possibility to turn this data into opportunity. With right tools they can now optimize assets across the entire organisation, understand “true cost of assets”, monitor on-going CBM projects and investments, manage risk and calculate bottom line economics. According Arc Advisory group the worldwide market for EAM tools is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2% over the next five years. There is a lot to discuss in 2014. The ISO 55001 (and the two other in the family ISO 55000 and ISO 55002) standard is now published and many organizations are already looking at adopting it. While EAM is getting more important for organisations, asset managers are still struggling with how to evaluate, explain and communicate the value of asset management to the respective stakeholders, synchronize asset performance with corporate performance objectives, improve long term capital planning, real-time asset performance visibility and decision making. To address these challenges we are gathering a great number of practitioners, experts and visionaries in the area of Asset Management from Europe and beyond to share a light on the latest strategies, processes, method-ologies and tools they are using to maximize greater Return of Assets and enable wide enterprise approach to Asset Management. I am looking forward to meeting you in Copenhagen. Sincerely, http://www.linkedin.com/pub/goran-cvetanovski/9/43b/991 https://twitter.com/GCCopperberg Goran Cvetanovski Editorial Director, EAM Platform Every year we ask for your feedback as a delegate, and every year it’s the same: premium content and more opportunity for knowledge sharing! So, here’s a glance of what we’ve set up this time: EAM Tracks Tracks are an important part of the conference. It enables the delegates to choose between the two parallel sessions and customize their own conference. This year’s conference includes tracks on specific challenges in Asset Management. Executive Circles The Roundtable Discussions are your opportunity to get your voice heard. In a stimulating work atmos-phere. The Roundtable Discussions are your opportunity to get your voice heard. 9. 9. Agenda Track 1 Track 2 The Roundtable Discussions are your opportunity to get your voice heard. In a stimulating work atmosphere, The Roundtable Discussions are your opportunity to get your voice heard. In a stimulating work atmosphere, the participants discuss new perspectives and ideas. After 40 minutes the discussions end and the participants move on to the next table. You will experience intensive discussions, share innovative ideas and identify practical solutions. Some of the topics that will be discussed (subject to change): Enterprise Asset Management Platform 2014 9 n 11:20 - 11:50 Dynamic criticality analysis in discrete manufacturing The utilization of production resources in manufacturing industry is generally low, around 50%. Smarter prioritization of maintenance and service activities holds substantial potential to reduce system losses, i.e. the blocked and idle times. This presentation suggests alternative solutions to criticality classification, taking the dynamic aspects of our reality into consideration. • Which are the major efficiency losses in manufacturing industry? • What is the potential of priority-based planning of service and maintenance? • Alternatives to common criticality classification • Connections between asset management and sustainable production Anders Skoogh, PhD, Assistant Professor, Director of Chalmers’ Master’s Programme in Production Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology n 11:20 - 11:50 Outsourced or not - you need Asset Management Leadership and Organisational Structure Some Asset Management organisations are organised around multi-disciplinary, cross-functional or outsourced teams , where all staff are empowered to make their own decisions. For some organi-sations this will work perfectly. For others it will be a disaster. • How to set the direction and priorities for the development of the organisation’s Asset Management capabilities, which are necessary to deliver the organisation’s overall objectives? • How to be consistent across the whole organization, internal or external? • How to ensure everyone knows where, when and how decisions are made and who makes them? Ulf Stern, Co-founder of IFS, Senior Advisor, IFS n 11:55 - 12:25 How much money does the grid really need? Significant portion of the budget goes to grid renewal every year. The volume of investment is often driven by the regulatory frame-work. How do we know this money is spent well ? How do we know what happens if we cut the budget in half or double it ? • Reconciling legitimate interests of grid operator, investor, regulator and customers • Linking strategic and financial planning, continuous assessment of grid components health and criticality and investment prioritization • Comparing investments to measurable outputs David Kleinhampl, Group Asset Management - Distribution, ČEZ a.s. n 11:55 - 12:25 ISO55000 - The Missing Link For many years Asset Management has been the essential capability for the asset intensive and regulated industries as they strive to drive improvement in the balance between risk and cost as it relates to the continuous, safe and sustainable operation of their business infrastructure. ISO55000 widens the prospect of the application of such Asset Management capability to many other business sectors – including the service sector. In this session we will explore: • What does ISO55000 mean for the global service sector? • How does ISO55000 become the toolkit for the global service sector? • How does the adoption of ISO55000 principles bring the global supplier closer to the organisation? • What are the implications for certification? Keith Hamer, Group VP Engineering and Asset Management, Sodexo Ltd. n 12:30 Networking Lunch Aligning Asset Management with organizational strategic goals Enterprise Asset Management on Mobile: More Profit through Asset Management Moderator: Bert Verplancke, Sales Director Northern Europe, Enterprise Asset Management & Sustainability Solutions, Infor Pushing the limits – opportunities for further cost reductions and OEE enhancements! Moderator: Ulf Stern, Co-founder of IFS, Senior Advisor, IFS Planning, Building, & Commissioning Assets Kenneth Saxskiold-Nørup, CEO Siemens Indus-try Software A/S Value-oriented Maintenance and Asset Innovation as a basis and driver for sustainable success Moderator: Marc A. Heinisch, Senior Partner, ConMoto Consulting Group GmbH The benefits of Mobile Enterprise Asset Management + 13:30 - 14:50 Executive Circles
  10. 10. Agenda n 15.00 Networking Break & Peer to Peer Meetings Track 1 Track 2 n 15:30 - 16:00 Asset Management decision making and change management Asset Management Decision-Making is crucial at all stages of the asset lifecycle and should be made in a co-ordinated fashion. AM has to assure an optimization of value adding to the plant over the whole lifetime and to fullfill any underlying constraints, statutory legislation or regulatory obligations. The challenges are having a discipline and aligned process to follow any new process or asset implemented, to embed a culture that values data and risk management. This process should solve the questions: • How to get senior management buy-in on prioritisation and Asset Management Strategy? • How to enable transparency in decision making in multiple level organisation? • How to align local Asset Management strategy with the overall CAPEX plan? Gunter Arndt, Production manager CP Kelco Aps, Lille Skensved (DK) Moderator: Kari Komonen, Convenor of CEN TC319 WG10 & Former Chairman of EFNMS Asset Management Committee 10 Enterprise Asset Management Platform 2014 n 15:30 - 16:00 Remote Maintenance & Control - Machine to Machine M2M technology can help improve service and maintenance in a variety of areas including buildings, systems and technical facilities, machines, control stations, vending and dispensing machines and transport systems. In addition this can help companies to increase operational effectiveness and the companies that fare best are likely going to be those that master advanced technology. • The benefits of automatic maintenance • Flexible and affordable maintenance • How to easily track and analyze machine life cycles? Ulf Stern, Co-founder of IFS, Senior Advisor, IFS n 16:05 - 16:35 The Engineering Supply Chain: Dynamics of Data and Change In response to the relentless march of market forces, technology and competition, Assets and Plant are becoming increasingly complex - as are the outsourced engineering services commissioned by Asset Owners to create and maintain them. Jan will discuss plant data as the foundation for effective asset management, the realities of maintain-ing it in the hurly burly of daily operations, and the opportunities that can be unleashed if you get it right. He will provide food for thought around: • The challenge of maintaining an accurate picture of the asset “in motion” – and the potential implications if you don’t • Operational and commercial management of data in the real world – and across the engineering supply chain • Examples of what is now possible through the clever use of technology Kenneth Saxskiold-Nørup, CEO Siemens Industry Software A/S n 16:05 - 16:35 Role of Mobility and technology in EAM The organizations which are focusing largely on Enterprise Asset Management are likely to invest heavily on empowering their em-ployees with mobility tools. The current mobile technology enables operators to safely and quickly access asset condition information and make decision based on real time data. • How to use of mobility to access relevant data in a relevant time? • Benefits of increased use of mobility • Getting beyond aging workforce and implementing mobility Bert Verplancke, Sales Director Northern Europe, Enterprise Asset Management & Sustainability Solutions, Infor n 16:35 EAM Expert Panel Bharath Rao, Senior Software Development Manager, GE Global Research Diego Galar, PhD, Professor of Condition Monitoring, Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering, Luleå University of Technology n 17:20 Chairman Remarks n 17:30 Conference Ends Erik Helms Nielsen, Owner/CEO, Reliasset A/S, EFNMS Asset Management Committee, Danish representative
