Chapter 2 Runing Case Assignment: Analyzing Financial PerformanceLova Raju Balam
What are Dirt Bikes’s best- and worst-performing products? What is the
proportion of domestic to international sales? Have international sales grown
relative to domestic sales?
• Are sales (revenues) growing steadily, and, if so, at what rate? What is the cost of
goods sold compared to revenues? Is it increasing or decreasing? Are the firm’s
gross and net margins increasing or decreasing? Are the firm’s operating expenses
increasing or decreasing? Is the firm heavily in debt? Does it have assets to pay
for expenses and to finance the development of new products and information
systems?
Critical Steps for Developing a Thinner Branch Network in 2021Precisely
Consumer’s evolving use of both location based and digital channels is changing the way that financial institutions are thinking about the number of branch locations needed to cover a market. While convenience is still a key factor in where consumers choose to open an account, the overall concept of convenience has changed. Consumers no longer need to make frequent in-person branch visits for routine transactions. In many cases, they may only visit their branch location to open an initial account and visit again, maybe years later, to either open another account or to resolve a conflict. This is forcing network planners to rethink the traditional approach to market coverage as they ponder how to transform their networks and maintain their market position.
View this on-webinar to learn:
- How to identify the number of locations needed to achieve branch network targets
- Whether the traditional view of the number of branch locations needed to create critical mass in a market has changed
- What the impact is of consumers shifting from being dependent on branch locations to being influenced by their presence
- The key Data sources needed to help determine which branches/sites provide the greatest billboard value
- The impact of branch attributes on branch performance
- The role of Hub and Spoke strategies

This is the result of the "Augmented Reality for Smart Glasses" workshop, organized by JoinPad, Epson and Frontiers of Interaction.
Every group had to imagine the porting of a mobile app on smart glasses and to design the UI and UX of that app.
In this paper, Space Time Block Code (STBC), Spatial Multiplexing (SM) and hybrid model with OFDM
are designed for Rayleigh fading channel. Combination of SM and STBC forms hybrid MIMO model. The
performances of the above mentioned models with different modulations such as Quadrature Phase Shift
Keying (QPSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) with multiple antennas are measured with
respect to BER. In this paper, it is shown that Hybrid MIMO provides low BER. Thus, in wireless
communication, hybrid model improves the data rate and link reliability.

I called it 5 weeks in 5 minutes because that's what it is. This was some of my work that I done for 5 weeks during my sculpture class and I think it turned out great! A very enjoyable experience! Let me know what you think!

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
