alive. The pieces in Hofstra s Fall Dance Concert exemplified this notion through
their use of storytelling and unique choreography. Personally, my favourite piece
was Quadrabox . All of the dances drew me in, but Quadrabox left a lasting
impression. Quadrabox was choreographed and composed by Robert Benford and
Martha Patridge. At the show I saw, the piece began with two groups of four dancers
sitting in square formations on top of wooden boxes. The choreography itself
reminded me of both hand clapping games that kids play for fun and of the art of
stepping. This piece was interesting to watch because it was unconventional. It was

Joseph Stalin s determination greatly affected his leadership and led to the
beginnings of the Cold War. His determination allowed him to rise to power and
destroy all opposition against his reign. The Great Purge, one of the greatest
terrors in history, was also done due to his determination to stay in power. This
same determination led to, as well as shaped, a large quantity of the events of
World War 2. His leadership was similar to the leadership of Adolf Hitler, yet

The success of Space adventure films have grown tremendously in the last twenty
years, mainly because of all the advancements in computer generated images, and the
advancements in the film industry. Space adventure films have excellent graphics
and color schemes, including visual effects, special effects, and being culturally, and
historically significant. It s amazing how much the film industry has grown in a short
period of time, with the impact of imagined innovations in science, technology,
imaginary elements, and science fiction. There growth and advancements have
helped the film industry grow and maintain its fan base for many, many years. The

and then they set the scale of the computer to coordinate with the system for that
element. The scale size usually is anything from microns to light years across in
size which are important and should be consistent with all the elements in the
project so the layers of lines are built up to the patches and that creates the model
that defines the shape of the object. (Boggs, Petrie, 2008) The modeler contains the
power of design; which the animator provides the illusion of life. The animator also
uses tools to make objects move which helps the animation process begin the same
way, with a storyboard. A storyboard is a series of still images that shows how the
elements will move and interact with each other. This process is important to the
animator because it helps decide what movements need to be assigned to objects in
the animation. The animator must also have key points of movements for each object
in the scene. This helps the computer to produce motion for each object in a frame by
frame sequence. The final product when put together, gives the look of fluid
movement which when the modeler is formed, the animator provides motion. These
designs and elements are nothing but empty or hollow forms

Cultural Competence Work With Latino Americans
Lum Ch. 11 Review: The purpose of chapter 11 in Lum (2011) is to discuss cultural
competence work with Latino Americans. The growth of the Latino population in the
United States has been greatly increasing. As of 2008, 15.1% of the United States
population is Latino. Some concerns that elderly Latinos may face are: family roles,
health, caregiving, end of life issues, protective factors, and effective interventions (p.
309). Many of the Central American Latino grandparents have not completed high
school, which has left them unemployed. Social workers who serve this group,
should become more aware of the historical discrimination that this population has
faced. Reflection: Due to the fact that the Latino population is still growing, it is
important to consider the history of discrimination that they have faced due to
America. Something that I found interesting is the ethical issues that were listed off.
For example, making sure that they understand the informed consent. If it seems as
if they do not understand it do not let them sign and do not assume the participants
either. Most people in our society do not even read the informed consent and it is
typically not a problem for them. It is also important to understand the heterogeneity
of the Latino population. Latino in itself is a diverse population. Where I come
from, I see a lot of racism among this group. There are a lot of people in my
hometown who strongly dislike this population. They think that they are loud and

Animated Movie Wreck It Ralph
The animated film, Wreck it Ralph, directed by Rich Moore, follows the adventures
of a bad guy by the name of Ralph as he looks to distinguish himself as more than a
bad guy in the sense of the word. The move takes place inside of a video game called
Wreck it Ralph , located in a larger arcade store filled with customers. Wreck it Ralph
is a gamewhere Ralph is designed as a muscular freak with only one purpose in his
life, to destroy and damage a high rise apartment in the game, that is until Fix it
Felix comes in and saves the day. In the eyes of the viewer, Ralph is the villain
who looks to destroy the building, and the player takes control of Felix in order to
fix Ralph s wrong doings. What becomes apparent to the viewer rather quickly is
that Ralph is no stereotypical bad guy , and he wishes to be known for more than
the guy who just destroys the building, and who is cast off as a menace to those
inside the game. In a very Toy Story like design, the characters inside the video
games become alive when the arcade store shuts down for the day, and customers
leave. Its at this point characters gather together for drinks, nights out or in Ralphs
case, a support group for bad guys trying to deal with the stresses and difficulties of
being bad. Looking to prove himself, Ralph eventually leaves his game as he looks
to find a better identity for himself as opposed to his bad guy label, as chaos ensues.
