internment camps? Many zoos have species today trapped in cages like internment
camps. Animals suffer in zoos because they are mistreated; and the captivity they
live in. Zoos are not healthy for animals because of the bad circumstances and bad
condition. Not all zoos are awful like some zoos are good. Zoos are similar to
internment camps and should be shut down. As matter of fact animals suffer in
zoos. Zoos abuse animals for instance a gorilla got shot for trying to escape. When
the gorilla s old zookeeper visited him at a another zoo, the gorilla ran sobbing and

problem such as stress, discrimination, and other problems in captivity. Therefore

A zoo is an miserable place for animals just like an internment camp would be for a
person. As animals are treated like prisoners in zoos, they should be set free, in
their natural habitat. To stop the treatment of internment camps on the animals,

Eudora Welty s A Worn Path
Introduction
James Saunders wrote an interesting article A Worn Path The Eternal Quest of Welty
s Phoenix Jackson (The Southern Literary Journal 25.1, Fall 1992: p62 73.) that not
only analyzed Eudora Welty s A Worn Path (The Collected Works of Eudora Welty)
from his perspective but also included the perspectives of other authors which makes
his article an excellent source for interpretations of A Worn Path.
Summary
Saunders article summarizes Phoenix Jackson as a symbol of the Christian religion
and articulates the interpretation that her journey has biblical meaning. She is also
compared to the mythical phoenix. Saunders own view of Phoenix Jackson was
that she was a symbol for racial equality, who through love, perseverance and being
one with nature displayed that symbolism. In my own paper Character Analysis of
Phoenix Jackson (21 April 2106, unpublished paper) I saw Phoenix as a symbol of
the hardships of being black in the South prior to the civil rights movement and the
social, racial and economic adversity that needed to be overcome.
Thesis
My argument finds strong support in Saunders article, his analysis of it being
essential that Phoenix Jackson is black. The crucial comparison between Phoenix
Jackson and the mythical Phoenix, and his reminder of the social climate when
Welty wrote her story (Saunders) all reinforce my theory that Phoenix Jackson
symbolized social, racial and economic adversity from the 1860s to 1960s. (1)

Poultra Research Paper
It was a quiet day in Orient. It was early August in the year 420 A.D. All was still
until a monster named Poultra attacked the city. It was about 4:13 in the afternoon.
Nobody was prepared for the attack. The monster waddled and flew throughout the
city breathing fire and eating things. It attacked the poor farm animals and
demolished houses. There was terror throughout the city as Poultra wrecked the city.
And just like that, 7 minutes later, it was over. Not many people got a good glimpse
of Poultra. Some thought it was a chicken, some thought it was a dragon, some
thought it was both. Nobody could agree on it, but one thing is for sure, they needed
to prepare for another attack. Everyone worked together to rebuild the city. After
only a few weeks, everything was rebuilt. The king Sir Timmy III declared that
extra defense would need to be built in case there was another attack. The people
built crossbows, cannons, and towers. They constructed a ten foot high and three
foot deep wall, which doesn t make sense because supposedly Poultra could fly.
There was also an army draft. All men recruited were immediately taught how to use
crossbows and real bows. The crossbows were armed with flaming arrows and there
