Root Word: the main word.


Words are made up of word parts.
 You can add other word parts to
         the root word.

      Prefix + ROOT + Suffix
Prefix: a word part added to
the beginning of the word that
changes the meaning.

  Example 1:
  incomplete vs. complete
      ↓            ↓
   Not finished   Finished
Example 2:
Ex-Boyfriend   vs.   Boyfriend
    ↓                   ↓

Suffix: a word part added to
  the end of the word.

    Example 1:
    Dogs vs. Dog → One Dog
