Web hosting is the service that makes websites accessible over the Internet. It can be Windows-based or Linux-based and involves the use of certain terms.
The document provides an overview of various topics related to web hosting, including:
1) It defines common terms like domains, URLs, web servers, and web hosting. It also describes different types of web hosting like free, shared, virtual private servers, dedicated, and colocation.
2) It discusses domain name registration and components like the top-level domain, subdomains, and administrative/technical/billing contacts.
3) It provides an overview of programming languages and databases commonly used for web development, such as PHP, MySQL, and content management systems like WordPress.
If you build a site from scratch you will need to upload your files to your hosting account. You can do this via cPanel, but it is more common to use File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
FTP Software lets you drag and drop files from your computer onto your server. SFTP does the same thing, but with an added layer of security protecting your login credentials and content transferred.
Secure Shell (SSH) lets you access your server using command line software like Terminal. If you learn more advanced development you may use SSH along with version control software like Git.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) is a service that maps dynamic IP addresses to domain names. Unlike traditional DNS, which only works with static IP addresses, DDNS can support dynamic IP addresses assigned by a DHCP server. To use DDNS, one signs up with a DDNS provider and installs client software to monitor their IP address and update the DNS record when the IP changes. The DDclient is commonly used as the client software to periodically update the IP address with the DDNS provider so dynamic IP addresses can be used with domain names.
This document discusses dynamic DNS, which allows domain names to point to computers that have dynamic IP addresses that change frequently. Dynamic DNS uses software that automatically updates DNS records with the computer's new IP address whenever it changes, so that remote access is still possible. It is useful for servers or remote access to office computers. To use dynamic DNS, one must sign up for the service and install client software to update records when the IP address changes.
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) allows domain names to be automatically updated when an IP address changes frequently. DDNS maps dynamic IP addresses to fixed domain names in DNS so that internet users with dynamic IP addresses can host network services and have permanent domain names. DDNS services work by having a client submit IP address changes to a update server, which then propagates the changes to DNS name servers so that domain names resolve to the current IP. While enabling permanent domain names for dynamic IPs, DDNS can also increase vulnerability if not properly secured.
The document discusses web servers, including what they are, common web server software like Apache, Microsoft IIS, and Nginx, and factors to consider for web server hardware configuration. Some key points include:
- Web servers are computers that deliver web pages to users and are identified by IP addresses and domain names.
- Popular web server software includes open source options like Apache and Nginx, as well as Microsoft's IIS. These programs manage serving web content.
- Important considerations for web server hardware include capacity for high traffic volumes, expandable RAM for caching content, fast processors and disk storage. Hardware is selected based on expected page views and response time needs.

Web hosting is a service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible online by providing space on a server to store website files. There are different types of hosting including shared hosting, where resources are shared across multiple websites, VPS hosting, where each website has its own dedicated space, and dedicated hosting, where a single website has exclusive access to the server. To make a website accessible, one must register a domain name, which acts as the website's address, and choose a hosting plan from a provider to store the website files on their servers and make the site publicly available.
Web hosting services provide space on a server connected to the Internet where one can host their website. This includes shared hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, and colocation. Shared hosting is the most affordable option where sites share server resources. Dedicated and colocation hosting provide more control but are more expensive. Domain names map to IP addresses and must be registered separately. Common top-level domains include .com, .net, and country-specific ones. Subdomains can further organize sites. Server requirements depend on the platform and languages used.
Web hosting is a service that allows individuals and organizations to publish websites on the internet. There are different types of web hosting available like shared hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated servers, and cloud hosting. Shared hosting involves multiple users sharing the same server resources, while dedicated servers provide exclusive use of the server without sharing. Control panels like cPanel, DirectAdmin, and Plesk allow users to manage their web hosting services and websites.
Web hosting refers to the service of storing and serving website files and data on a server connected to the internet. When you create a website, you need a place to store its files, images, videos, and other content. Web hosting companies provide the infrastructure and services required to make your website accessible to users worldwide.
A domain is the unique address that identifies your website on the internet. It serves as the online identity of your website and makes it easier for users to find and access your site. A domain name typically consists of a chosen name followed by a domain extension (e.g., .com, .org, .net). For example, in the domain name "www.example.com," "example" is the chosen name, and ".com" is the domain extension. https://www.hostagle.com/

2. There are different options for hosting a website, including virtual hosting (sharing a server), virtual dedicated hosting (having a virtual private server), and dedicated hosting (owning an entire server). Each option has advantages and disadvantages related to cost, control, and flexibility.
3. Key aspects of managing a domain name include registering the name, configuring name servers, updating WHOIS records, protecting related trademarks, and resolving disputes according to ICANN policies.
The document provides an overview of CDN (content delivery network) technology. Some key points:
- A CDN is a globally distributed network of proxy servers that aims to deliver content to end-users with high availability and performance.
- CDNs serve content through caching and storing content at network edge locations close to users. This reduces bandwidth costs and improves page load times.
- Content delivery is optimized through techniques like web caching, load balancing, request routing and services to measure CDN performance. The goal is to direct requests to optimal edge locations.
Professional domains are used in terms of relevancy to your business. You can use professional domains that are consistent to your business. When you order a hosting account you get access to a special type of computer called a server. This server lets you upload files to display on your site and lets other people access your site via your domain name.
Hosting accounts come in different sizes, which determines how many files and media you can have on your site and how many people can visit the site each month. These measurements are called disk space and bandwidth.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
