Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States. He served two terms from 1993 to 2001 and was the first Democratic president to be re-elected since Franklin Roosevelt. Clinton enjoyed a period of peace and economic prosperity during his presidency but was also impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998 for having an inappropriate relationship with a White House intern.
