Form 3 PMR Chapter 6 Minerals in Earth CrustSook Yen Wong
Minerals are naturally occurring inorganic solids with a definite chemical composition and structure. They can exist as elements like gold or silver or as compounds like oxides, carbonates, and silicates. Common minerals include iron oxide, calcium carbonate, aluminum silicates, and iron and lead sulfides. Oxides, carbonates, and silicates are typically insoluble in water except for those containing potassium or sodium. Metal carbonates decompose into metal oxides and carbon dioxide when heated. Metal sulfides decompose into metal oxides and sulfur dioxide gas when heated.
The document discusses RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express. It begins with an introduction to APIs and contrasts REST and SOAP APIs. It then discusses Node.js and how it enables non-blocking asynchronous I/O. Finally, it provides a basic example of creating an Express server to respond with "Hello World" and discusses how Node.js handles threads without blocking.
Spandex (also known as Lycra or elastane) and T400/PES are two widely used fibers in textiles. Spandex is an elastic synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity, able to stretch over 500% without breaking. T400/PES is an elastomultiester fiber made of a combination of polyesters, which gives elastic properties to fabrics. Dual-core yarns combining Spandex with T400/PES or other fibers provide fabrics with high stretch, excellent recovery, dimensional stability, and low shrinkage for a custom fit that lasts.

This document outlines two key points about sulfuric acid: 1) It describes the contact process for manufacturing sulfuric acid including essential conditions. 2) It describes the properties of dilute sulfuric acid as a typical acid.
1) Questioning is an important part of the teaching and learning process as it drives critical thinking. Questions define tasks, express problems, and help thinking continue.
2) "Essential questions" that are central to our lives and contestable are most important. They touch our heart and soul and probe the deepest issues.
3) Strategies like Philosophy 4 Children that use questioning techniques help build thinking and reasoning skills in students. Communities of inquiry that discuss essential questions are important.
Theories of Teaching and Learning: The Staged Self-Directed Learning Model, G...Barbara Stokes
The document discusses Gerald Grow's Staged Self-Directed Learning (SSDL) model, which proposes that learners progress through four stages of self-direction - from dependent to self-directed - and that teaching styles should match the learner's current stage. The four stages are: dependent (authority/coach), interested (motivator/guide), involved (facilitator), and self-directed (consultant/delegator). The SSDL model provides a framework to help teachers select teaching styles that support advancing learners' self-direction skills. While beneficial, limitations include difficulty assessing a learner's current stage and the need for teachers to flexibly adapt their styles.

Form 3 Science Chapter 4 Reproduction 2Sook Yen Wong
This document summarizes the key components and functions of the human reproductive system. It explains that reproduction can occur sexually, involving both male and female gametes, or asexually with only one parent. Sexual reproduction results in offspring with genetic material from both parents and variation, while asexual reproduction clones the single parent. The male reproductive system produces and transports sperm for fertilization. The female system produces eggs and supports embryo development. Fertilization occurs when sperm fuse with eggs in the fallopian tubes.

(Portland Patterns Repository)
• Første corporate wikis opstår rigtigt i begyndelsen af
2000 (Wikipedia i 2001)
3
(eksplicit viden) →
Viden konstrueres gennem social interaktion—viden skal
bringes i spil (tavs viden)
12
13. Forskellen mellem wikis og blogs
Wikis Blogs
Ingen ejer indholdet Personlig ejerskab i kommentarer
deltagelse, samarbejde, social kapital)
• Brugerdrevet (fremmer en proaktiv videndelingskultur,
afspejler reelle behov)
• Ukrævende
• Økonomisk (reduktion i e-mail, stress, sygedage)
• Teknologisk (open source, integration)
14
15. Ulemper ved wikis
• Sikkerhed
• Vandalisme
• Kvalitet
• Ustruktureret
• It’s all about control
15
28. DrKWikipedia - DrKWs interne wiki
CIO, J.P. Rangaswami, siger:
“For early adopters, e-mail volume on related projects is down
75%; meeting times have been whacked in half.” [..] “Share
control with users and you gain innovation.”
