Wikis are websites that allow multiple users to add, edit, and delete content collaboratively. They automatically save previous versions of edited pages. Teachers can use wikis for language learning by setting up a collaborative writing project on a free wiki site, where students can contribute to building out pages on a shared topic. Wikis provide an incentive for students because their work may be viewed publicly, but teachers can also make wikis private with a password for editing.
