Sikhism is the fifth largest world religion with 23 million followers. Core Sikh beliefs include believing in one God, equality of all people, earning an honest living, and sharing with others. Sikhs are initiated into the Khalsa, taking the last names Singh or Kaur and following the 5 K's - Kara, Kirpan, Kachera, Kesh, and Kangha. The turban is also important as it allows Sikhs to always be recognized. Gurus provided spiritual guidance to teach kindness, truth, love, and respect for all.
