Chinchiller
Chinchiller is a lightweight mobile cloud storage service. It’s like if Dropbox was originally designed and
built with mobile devices in mind. No more awkward upload/download moments because of poor network
performances. Chinchiller only works with mobile friendly versions of your files. Whether it’s pictures,
videos, pdfs, doc files etc.. they all get optimized (sized for the screens, compressed) before they hit the
server. Actually, the server never receives the original copy of your file.
As you’re doing more with less storage, Chinchiller allows you to perform full syncs for unlimited offline
access. The bridge with desktop is made through to the cloud services you already use (Dropbox, Box,
Google Drive…). A Chinchiller subfolder is created and the things you drop in get optimized as well (on
the server side this time). This means that there's no need to install an additional client on your
PC. Finally, the financial model is mobile friendly too: No subscription. The storage you buy (per GB
increments, via In-app purchases) stays yours, for life.
