2019-03-06 aOS Papeete - 1 - How the smartphone has disrupted coporate it - V...aOS Community
The smartphone has disrupted corporate IT by making communication tools like email and file sharing more accessible through apps. However, free apps pose security and administrative issues for companies compared to paid cloud services like Office 365. Office 365 provides many of the same collaboration apps as large companies for a low monthly fee per user. It has become more affordable for businesses of all sizes to deploy powerful, integrated productivity and communication tools through the cloud. Employees now expect to use familiar, easy-to-use apps and platforms at work as well.

Key benefits include not needing to do hardware refreshes as frequently, testing new technologies without large commitments, and the ability to access applications from any device. However, some challenges include organizations feeling a loss of control over their IT environments, needing to adapt to more frequent changes in requirements, addressing knowledge gaps through training, ensuring sufficient bandwidth, and questions around how external and internal data are managed in the cloud.
Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Office 365, Robust security… But the drawbacks are being
omitted. In this session you'll see advantages of all new
stack like Flow, PowerApps, Teams but also the drawbacks
and/or lack of "modern experiences" in Office365. This

We live in a world where information is readily available
and can be shared with a simply press of a button.
Protecting intellectual property in this modern world is
getting harder and harder for organizations. There are
stories abound of employees simply copying files to an
USB-stick or storing them on a personal web storage
platform (Dropbox, OneDrive, you name them) or
attaching documents to an email and mailing it to a
personal account. It shouldn’t be any surprise that data
leakage prevention and dealing with sensitive information
is very important to many enterprises. Microsoft is
investing heavily in technologies to support prevention
and protection. In this session Albert will talk about Azure
Information Protection – the solution for classification
and protection of (sensitive) content and enabling
message encryption. I will show these platform in action,
will share best-practises, including the AzureIP scanner
and conditional access, and pitfalls to avoid when

applications where employees demand the same digital
experience in their workplace, as the one they have in their
home. Improving productivity and supporting engagement
are not just empty concepts, but key strategic goals for the
modern digital workplace. The problem is that most
enterprise intranets fail to deliver what people want and
need to get their work done. Beezy is an enterprise solution
