This document discusses the growth of e-commerce in Ghana and the opportunities and challenges it presents. It notes that while internet usage and mobile phone access are growing rapidly in Ghana, only about 2% currently use existing e-commerce platforms. Some factors holding people back include lack of trust in online payments and delivery, as well as uninteresting platform designs. However, smartphone ownership is also growing and about 70% of smartphone users express interest in using e-commerce. The document advocates for improvements in online payment systems and platform experiences to better engage Ghana's growing online population.
