- Since we were here in 2016, it’s been a very exciting year for developers in ArcGIS As well as our new Developer Program, which we’ll be talking about this afternoon, we’ve had significant new releases of the JavaScript API and each of our Runtime SDKs These new releases have so many great features and that’s why we wanted to take this session to show you all our favourite parts And as well as a kind of showcase, we’re going to also talk about some of the things you need to bear in mind when you’re considering using these new developer tools
- On the web side, we have the JavaScript API version 4 – currently 4.3 And on the native side, we have the Runtime SDKs at version 100 – so each of the platforms we support is now at version 100 You might have heard the runtimes called “Quartz” – this was a codename during development and now it’s version 100, but it’s the same thing
- What all these APIs have in common is that they exist to give developers access to the latest and greatest advancements in GIS so they can build them into their apps The most obvious addition is 3D – and that’s great – but there’s a lot more than just 3D
