What Tablet Survey Results
The What Tablet Survey was conducted through
www.allthingspresentations.eu
75% own a tablet whereas 20% do not (the rest 5% are seriously considering investing
in one). Furthermore, the main use of your tablet is for Professional Applications
(55%) with 4 in every ten using it mainly for E-mail and Social Networking
(41%). The remaining 4% use it mainly for Fun and Game activities!
In terms of hardware features, the bigger the better is the obvious choice as you may have
thought. For instance, 4 in every ten favour a 10” screen (40%) with an additional 3 in
every ten choosing a bigger 12” screen (30%).
Tablet users are divided when it comes to memory storage between 32 GB (40%) and
64 GB (40%).
In terms of connectivity, no big surprises here either. An overwhelming 78% of users
considers Wi-Fi essential with only three in every ten users opting for a mobile
broadband internet connection (30%).
Half of the users in the survey indicated they would like an external storage device
(50%) with 23% saying they would consider it positively. An impressive 3 in every ten,
however, rejected the idea (27%)!
I saved the best for last: the preferred operational system. It was a close race. Yet,
41% choose an Android device, 32% favour a Windows device with only 28%
preferring an iOS device.
