2. WHAT IS HOUSEKEEPING
HOUSEKEEPING IS A PROFESSION OF CLEANING , ARRANGING & MAINTAINING OF
A PROPERTY AND THE EQUIPMENTS OF AN INSTITUTION OR ORGANIZATION.
And the most important is TAKING CARE
CLEAN ARRANGE MAINTAIN
Routine tasks and procedures are carried out in the functioning of an operation
or system.
In the simplest definition it is:
“ART OF CLEANING AND MAINTAINING”

3. WHAT IS HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITY
• Reporting 15 minutes before your scheduled time
• He/She should be Groomed properly – Wear Full uniform
• Report to the Supervisor , attend Briefing and make note of any special instruction given for
the day
• Arrange your caddy basket with all required materials for cleaning.
• Honestly perform the job assigned throughout your shift
• Clean, Arrange & Maintain the area , And the most important is taking CARE
• Perform the task as per the SOP , Keep record of documents and maintain the checklist
• Learn and upgrade knowledge on Chemicals, Machines and Tools used time to time
• Eye for detail ( After completing of each task have personal inspection done and make
note of snag report and inform immediately to the supervisor )
• Cleaning tools , machinery as to be cleaned , maintained after end of the task and stored
properly at the designated area.
• Attend de-briefing, report to the supervisor, co-operate to the security check at sign out
• Don’t take leaves without information- Prior information to your reporting manager.
