training, Randy Meltzer practices several alternative
medicine techniques, including applied kinesiology (AK).
Also known as muscle strength testing, applied
kinesiology focuses on diagnosing and treating various
health conditions by examining muscles for strength and
weaknesses. Established in 1964 by Michigan
chiropractor George Goodheart, Jr., AK is rooted in the
belief that different muscles are linked to specific glands
and organs. AK practitioners study a patient’s posture,
motion range, and gait.

3. APPLIED KINESIOLOGY
 Additionally, a patient’s blood pressure is tested
while sitting, standing, and lying down to
determine imbalances in the body. The next test
involves putting pressure on different parts of
the body. If the muscle can withstand the
pressure, it is concluded as being strong, but if it
gives, it is construed as being weak.
