For quite some time now the stock market and the dollar have been locked in a reverse correlation.
When the dollar went up the market went down and so forth.

(Douglass 4). Douglass says this when he is talking about his aunt getting whipped, he is saying that it
was so bad to watch he could not even put his feeling into words. All of these events emphasize how
bad it really was to be a slave and stripped of rights and to be treated like property.

Throughout history, governments has evolved in many different ways. Sometimes for the better and
sometimes for worse. As many seek to take power of a whole nation, use it for their own cupidity. But,
even the good governments who seek to make the world a better place and a safer place had to do
some wrong to reach there. During the time he was writing about this book, his country was at war. He
