What have you learnt about technologies from the
- 2. I have learnt a lot in terms of technology, though the process of constructing my media products. I now have skills in software that I had never used until now, for example Quark Express. I had also never used an SLR camera and internet such as Slideshare and Prezi.
- 3. Adobe Photoshop: To create my magazine front cover I used Adobe Photoshop. I have used Photoshop in the past and so I was familiar with the tools and what each of them does. I found editing my front cover quite easy once I reminded myself what each tools done so therefore found it quite easy creating my front cover but it did take me quite a while to create perfecting everything. However there were a few things that I was stuck on. For example I did not know that you could duplicate layers so at first I was creating shape loads of times until I found that you could just duplicate it. I glad I got taught this as it speeds up my time creating my front cover. Photoshop allowed me to add images, edit images, edit text (for example adding a drop shadow) and add shapes. It enabled me to create a more professional product.
- 4. Quark Express: To create my magazine contents page and double page spread I used Quark Express. I had never used Quark before and so at first I found it difficult and confusing to use. However I soon used to it and found it ok to use. This programme allowed me to import my images and resize them and also import my text into columns.
- 5. Moreover I learn how to use blogspot as I have never used it before, for the first lesson on using it I found it confusing learning how to upload posts and having to put the title in and everything but after the first lesson I got the hang of it and it became fairly straight forward. But that is a new skill that I learnt as I had never even heard of blogspot before. Also I learn using blogspot I learnt methods used to embed work on the blog such as slide share having to upload my work then copying the link and pasting it onto my blog it was hard for the first time but then have a few goes I got the hang of it.
