audience feedback?

A2 media studies portfolio-Mental
Health Within The Education System
• The aim of our documentary was to inform our audience about the issues surrounded around
mental health within educational institutions and the amount of awareness provided towards
our students.
• We presented our documentary to a focus group of students who fitted into our target
audience, which were students between the ages of 16-24.
• Our focus group filled out our questionnaire, and answer some questions about our product.
Which elements in particular in the
documentary maintained your interest?
Our results show that the majority of the people in our focus group preferred the
interviews as it maintained their interest the most. Our focus group were not really
interested by our statistical data as they said the facts were repetitive and dull.
Reflecting back to improve I would add more interesting facts to keep our target
audinece interested.
What element of our documentary
could be improved?
Everyone in our focus group said that we could improve the sound levels drastically. They
stated that some of the sound levels were higher than others. To improve I would check the
sound levels to ensure that they all sound the same .
What feature of our dps did you like
the best? What parts were the most
eye catching?
Half of our focus group really liked our colour scheme as they liked the blue and white
theme. Although one student did state that she thought the colour scheme was boring as
we only included two main colours. Therefore to improve we would add more colours to
make the dps appear more attractive.
What part of the radio Advert was the
most creative?
This shows that the majority of our focus group found our voxpops the most creative.
They liked the variety of voxpops in our documentary and the way we put them together.
This focus group was effective because although
our students found different elements of our
products interesting. The focus group was
helpful as it helped us understand what
elements of our products we could improve on.
