Vedas are the oldest and most sacred Hindu scriptures, dating back to before 7000 BCE. They contain knowledge about rituals, sacrifices, and principles for daily living. The Vedas are comprised of four texts - Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda - which provide guidance on leading a pure, truthful life and different life stages. They originate from the concept of a single divine being and aim to teach awareness, intelligence, and discrimination to benefit oneself and society.
