Medicupping uses suction therapy to facilitate healing and homeostasis. It is a blend of ancient Chinese cupping techniques and western massage that uses cups attached to a vacuum pump to mimic massage strokes in a dynamic way. In China- Ge Hong recorded the first use of animal horns for draining
pustles (281AD)-method was called heat/dry method. Chinese have
written documentation of the use of cupping for surgical
procedures. Pre and Post- divert blood
The Egyptians-”Ebers Papyrus” , oldest medical text describes the use
of cupping as far back as 1550BC
Malaysians used cupping with blood letting-”Bekam”
Persians and muslim world called this technique “Al-Hijamah” which is

Hippocrates and Galen brought cupping to the Greeks and
Romans where it was believed that increased caused by
cupping helps remove impurities.
As time progress so did the techniques, methods, and

Decreased blood pressure: due to vasodilation and/or
