Transportation All changes must be made in writing. Please send in TWO copies of notes.  After school changes to transportation MUST be made by 1:00. You must have a Car Rider number to avoid having to come in and sign out your child. New policy will require a bus behavior conference WITH parents These procedures are for the Safety of your child.
Safety Please be sure to fill out and send in registration cards. Please keep phone numbers current by sending in any updates. New Access Control: Doors will be locked during the school day.  You will only be able to use the front doors.
Attendance We need your child here and ON TIME. Students who are not in their homerooms by 7:50 will be marked tardy. Must be at school by 11:05 to be counted present. Attendance is part of our Adequate Yearly Progress. Please help minimize loss of instruction.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack You may prepay for lunches. Lunch is at 12:28. Please pack a substantial HEALTHY snack. Water bottles with sports tops are allowed. Students buying breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria upon arrival of school.
School Goals Math : 90% of Math Mania facts in less than 5 minutes Writing : State rubric can be found online Reading : Logs-1,000 pages per quarter AR- 100 points for the year    25 points per 9 ½ weeks,   at least 85% comprehension  Technology : Increase the integration of technology
Testing STAR: August, March, and May CogAT: September 17th-19th IOWA: September 22 nd -29 th   Used by middle schools for  placing in leveled classes Writing Assessment: March 4th CRCT: April 21 st - May 1st
Homework Support is Vital Read EVERY night = 20 to 30 minutes Practice Math facts Utilize online books and resources Review and study each night Use agenda to monitor and communicate Missing work will be highlighted Please sign nightly AFTER you have checked work
