IN-CLASS WORKOUT 7: PRODUCTION PROJECTS
 AND OUR WEBQUESTS

EDUC W200 Week 7
WEBQUESTS – LET’S REVIEW!

• What is a webquest? And why do we bother?
o Contains content exploration and production tasks
o Is a student driven experience
o You as a teacher take your students on a quest – a journey.
o You need to structure this journey for your students

 EDUC W200 Week 7
WEBQUESTS – LET’S REVIEW!

• In a Webquest…
o Students explore content and resources the teacher
provides (or provides a way to find these resources)
o Students produce something in order to show what they
have learned, and to learn more during the process
o Students reference an assessment tool (rubric) to self-
monitor their progress in their work

 EDUC W200 Week 7
ICW#7 – GETTING STARTED

You are going to continue working on your Webquest
 1. Finish the “process” page first – you will take what you
created last week, and have the process end with the
learner (completing the webquest) creating something to
    demonstrate their knowledge
 2. Learners completing your webquest will create a Prezi (or
    another, instructor-approved tool)
 3. Create an “evaluation” page, and create an iRubric that
learners and you can use to assess the product students
    create
 4. Clean up the final product – Intro, task, conclusion, and
credits pages – based on your work today
